4.1Bottle. Pours dark hazelnut brown, medium opaque, with a medium tan foam, syrup, and subsiding to a ring. Scent is medium caramel old ale, maybe Scotch ale. Brown sugar. Light cinnamon notes. Taste is dense Bourbon barrel scotch ale properties, some spiciness, and a lingering, slightly sticky, slightly ethanol body. Great.
3.9Bottle @ home. Aroma of eatery Belgian yeast, caramel, dried dark fruits. Hazy brown with lasting off-white head. Taste is moderate+ sweet and light bitter. Full body, oily sweet feel, and sweet caramel finish.
4.0330ml bottle.
Sweet nutty and dried fruit aroma, a lot of maltiness. Vanilla, spices, cinnamon, citrus zest..Very complex scent mix.
Malts again present in taste, very malty, mid sweet, a low bitterness short finish. Nicely hidden alcohol.
Full round body.
3.9Full-bodied, very sweet yet balanced by a dry finish. A bit lacking in aroma maybe but full tasting and warming. Take your time with this.
4.00,33l bottle from Beergium. Pours deep brown colour. Aroma of brown sugar, sweetness, malts, alcohol, caramel, dried fruits. Taste is pretty strong, sweet, a bit alcoholy, rummy.
3.5Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Pours clear dark amber with a head that promises a sticky texture. Strong malts are present in the aroma, but not as fruity or harmonic as other quads. Heavy and sticky, but as others pointed out, unusual bitterness in the back of the tongue. Sweetness dominates everywhere else though, also on the palate. There it feels more like a barley wine though. Makes for an experiment worth trying, but when it comes to beers of this weight, I prefer others.
3.7Big and harsh, and definitely not a quad... And can’t really be reviewed as such. As an American barleywine, this is a good effort, but it’s a bit rough around the edges for me.
3.9Bottle, pours brown with an off white head. Aroma: nuts, brown sugar, dried figs, cinnamon, vanilla. Taste follow with more dark fruit, citrus hop, red fruit, nut meg. Bittersweet, soft and creamy, light boozy notes. Quad meets american barley wine and I like it.
3.2Solid, sweetish quadrupel with a balancing hoppy kick. Not much in way of Belgian-style esters.
4.2hazy (slightly reddish-)brown colour, half inc of dense yellowish-beige-ish off-white head; aroma of caramel, herbal notes, orange zest, some grapefruit and walnut biscuit; taste of syrupy sweetness, herbal notes, marmalade, grapefruit and hoppy bitterness...well, I’m not convinced that it is a quadrupel and not an American-style barley wine, but I’m definitely convinced that it is a good beer
3.8Pours clear mahogany with low off-white head. Aroma of hazelnut, dried figs and dates, brown sugar, herbs, butterscotch. Taste is rich alcohol sweet with a medicinal bitter finish. Rich and creamy body with soft carbonation. Very alcohol warming.
3.3Red beer, thin head, light fruit and malt aroma. Sour fruit, rich malt, apple. Tastes it’s strength, a sipper.
3.3Aroma: a lot of aroma. Spices, yeast, malts, toasted malt, caramel, very light hints of alcohol.
Appearance: very nice deep amber-caramel color, with a thick off-white creamy head made of tiny bubbles. Very good retention despite the high level of alcohol. Very clear. Carbonation still works in the glass. Nice Brussels’ lace.
Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, no sourness. Well balanced.
Palate: medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nice mouthfeel. Very long dry, bitter, spicy and citric finish. The alcohol’s warming effect lasts a lot of time.
Overall: great appearance with nice color and head. Lots of aromas. Nice complex and well balanced flavors: malts, caramel, spices, hops, citrus, dark fruits. Great beer.
2.9The aroma is full of hops, caramel, dried fruits, sugar, yeast and alcohol. The color is dark red, caramellike. The taste is full of hops, caramel, dried fruits, sugar and alcohol. A decent beer.
4.30.33l bottle. Murky dark orange body, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toast, raisins, some roasted malts and lots of citruses. Taste of caramel, toast, orange zest, raisins and plum. Sweet and bitter at the same time. Quite heavy beer, bit I like it a lot. Although it’s more like an American barleywine than a quad for me.
3.5Interesting try for a quad, but not really quad - HOPS TOO STRONK = too much bitterness. Otherwise nice dried fruit depth, raisins, fresh berry like kick, bit sticky maltiness, caramel.
Intense sweetness with moderate to intense bitterness. I kinda liked it, but didnt work well as a quad.
4.2Aroma: loti roziiniigs un pec vinogu kandzas. Salda ledenu, koka un sirupa aromats. Garsa: salds auglu vins, ar apiniem, medus, iesals.

2.7Tap (TCBW2016)
Deep red. Solventy aroma - marker pens. Perfumey taste, sweet too. Malty body. A bit sticky. Finish reminds you of the perfume and solvents. Narp.
4.4Pours a dark amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is bready malt and raisin. Thin mouth, toasted malt, dark fruit, light spice, sweet finish, good.
3.8Light hazy dark amber-light brown with a softly beige head. Aromas of bready malt notes arise with herbal, brown sugar, caramel, dried dark fruits notes such as caramelised figs and dried plums and apricots with a dash of ripe raspberry develop. Fine perlage, velvety creamy slickness with a pronounced solid body. Malty sugary dark fruit/raisin sweetness with a herbal light astringent-bitterness. Well balanced and lasting finish.
3.6Catchup rate from BD AGM2016. Deep amber red, beige head. Fruity quad nose, caramel. Clean quad taste. Good.
4.2Bottle at home. Clear dark amber colour with a fast disappearing white head. Nose of raisins with some caramel. Taste is medium sweetness with some dried fruits and toffee. As its gets warmer some reisiny notes. Nice brew overall.
