4.2.33l bottle @ Hanniku’s Cave. Pours nice cloudy orange with thick head. Aroma is raspberry, malts, bread, vinegar, caramel notes, fruits, citrus fruits, red berries, wild strawberries, hint of liquorice and some alcohol. Flavor is raspberries, wine like, vinegar notes, strawberries, grape fruits, lemon notes, citrus fruits, hops, some orange (or is it the citrus?). Easy to drink, berry and raspberry aftertaste. Swell!
3.9Bottle a amber colored beer with a white head aroma malts apple oranges spices yeast fruits fresh sourness and some hops flavor malts spices citrus fruits oranges pineapple grapefruits some oak spices alcohol and hops
Echt erstaunlich zufriedenstellend.
4.0Bottle from a trade with siranselm. The beer has got a hazy purple-red colour with a smooth body, low carbonation and low ehad. Aroma of barley, amlt, wine and sherry. Taste of intense raspberries, mango, flowers, barley, liquer, wine, dried fruits and rum fruits. Very delicious.
4.1375 ml green bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of toffee, raspberry and light orange zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of toffee, raspberry and orange zest with a smooth lingering fruity finish.
3.2Fra flaske på sesongens siste M2, Cardinal juni-15: dyp kobberrrød med fint skum. Dufter og smaker av syrlige bær og frukter, nærmere bestemt rips, bringebær og appelsin. Røsker behagelig bakerst i ganen. Takk til Sigmund for at han hadde gjort plass til ønskerepriser!
3.1Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours cloudy reddish amber with very small white head. Aroma of red berries, citrus, pine needles, sulphur. Taste fruity-sweet with distinct raspberry and some alcohol; a little bitter finish.
3.5Bottle. Hazy deep amber color with a thick foamy off-white head. Aroma of apple, berries and notes of orange. Very sweet taste with a bitter, fruity finish. Strong kick from alcohol. Medium to full body.
3.2This is overwhelming. Strong alcohol and candy. Fruits are well present but the beer has a thick texture like syrup and it also tastes like one. I"m going to blend it with something lighter to balance the taste. Wow.
3.7Tap @ Mikkeller and friends. Raspberries, some tartness, some booze. Hazy dark amber with off-white head, tiny head lasting. Little sour, more raspberry, vineous fruit, light sweetness, dry. Medium body, dry texture, average carbonation, dry finish.
3.3pinkish-brown, 3mm of caramel head, medium-coarse, medium-quick to fade. Aroma is tart candy berry, touch of toffee, some green sticky grass, touch of sappy deciduous tree. A bit odd. Body is medium-heavy, starchy, light carbonation, medium-light burn, a tad bit gritty. Flavor is sweet raspberry-strawberry candy, some caramel, a touch of clean bark bitterness in the finish that lingers lightly for a bit. A big enough beer to mask the booze for the most part. Interesting, a bit too thick/sweet to be refreshing, though.
3.8Palatsilla 3/2015. Surprisingly fresh and quite "easy" to drink, interesting and tasty. Lots of fruits indeed.
3.3375ml bottle at home. Hazy reddish amber brown with a small slightly off-white soapy head. Medium to full body with low carbonation. Very sweet with some bitter tones. Cherries, warming alcohol, raspbery, citrus and herbs. A tad too sweet but still tasty brew.
3.52015-02-18, tasting at Matt's, bottle, 6-5-6-3-12=32
Hazy red-amber color with generous head. Strange aroma, some berries, jam, cough syrup, dust. Sweet and caramelly, with the expected fruity acidity, and high alcohol perception.
Mediocre.

Cloudy red-ruby color with small creamy head. Deep aroma of sour raspberries with some malt and some dust. Full bodied, nice sweet malt flavor, but the strong berry presence is not really desired; the final is a bit vinous and with liquor character; it has some fruit tannins, and burning alcohol.
3.0375mL bottle, pours a opaque cloudy dark red with a small off-white head. Aroma is very fruity, with lots of raspberry juice and alcohol upfront, followed orange peel, and light caramel in back. Flavour is like an alcoholized fruit drink, with lots of raspberry and orange juice -- doesn’t really seem like a barley wine in any way other than the booze. This is pretty amateur to be honest. Nothing elegant or complex about this. Boozy, fruity and sweet. Not overly thrilling.
3.7Pours red-brown and cloudy with a small off white head. Aroma is pungent yeast, molasses and malty grains. Taste is oily sweet syrup and heavy grains. The flavors and alcohol give me the impression of cherry liquor - must be the raspberry. Interesting.
3.5On tap at Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen,16.1.15. Cheers Dorte and Desverger for the sample! Dark red, white head. raspberry jelly and some nutmeg in the nose, vinous, a little sour and boozy in the mouth. Thick, full-bodied, silky, long, liquor-like finish.
3.7Tap@Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen - fuzzy amber coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty with citrus mandarin notes, and prominent raspberry, sweet boozy towards the finish. Very different and interesting brew, nice.
3.5on tap at Mikkeller Bangkok.
Thin white head. Hazy amber pour. Sweet raspberry notes and alcohol but well balanced. Enjoyable
3.7Tap at Mikkeller Bangkok. Poured a hazy dark reddish amber with a thin white head and some broken lace. The aroma is rich sweet sticky orange citrus, boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a big fruity, alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.8375 ml bottle shared. Appearance: Hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head.
Aroma: caramel, orange peel, oranges, rapsberies and herbal tones.
Taste: sweet marmelade, rapsberries and some caramale. Finish is a orange bittereness with some powerfull alcocohol.
full body,supersoft carbonation.
I shared my bottle and while I really liked the taste I thought that this beer would be better off in a 25cl bottle as a 37,5 cl bottle incase of drinking it all by yourself. IT’s rich, it’s quite orange bittersweet and boozy that 37,5 cl bottles will probably be just too much of it’s own good.
Still a good beer, but with the current size, I would suggest shearing it.
3.6375 ml bottle from The Party Source at home. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium plus sized off white head. The aroma and flavor has an abundance of raspberry puree, caramel, orange peel accents, herbal accents, some bitterness to the finish, slick and somewhat viscous texture, dry on the finish, the alcohol is hidden on the initial taste, but warms as it goes down. I would second what another rater said earlier in that it gets very boozy as it warms.
3.7Bottle @ Appellation Comely Bank tasting thanks to, I don’t know!
Appearance - bright orange with a thin head.
Nose - marmalade and herbs.
Taste - redcurrants, more herbs and maybe the marmalade again.
Palate - medium bodied with a rich texture but tangy texture and a nice drying finish.
Overall - interesting and enjoyable.
3.6Bottle at tasting. Pours murky orange, thin white head. Resinous aromas, citrus, some raspberry. Taste is more oranges, pithy bitterness. Oily texture. Dry finish. Decent.
3.8Bottle at Appellation. Pours murky amber orange, nose is raspberry, tomato soup, taste is dry sweet, orange, pine.
4.2Bottle. Golden with white head. Aroma is very resinius, peach, mandarin, pine. Taste is peachy, apricot, orange, pine. Sweet and bitter. Delish
3.0375ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Cloudy copper color. Medium size, pink head, stays. Fruity, juicy, cranberry, malty aroma. Raspberry, sweet, malty, bit woody and juicy taste. Ohh my ohh my what kind of bastard adds raspberry juice to potentially good barley wine?
2.5375ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
Raspberry juice aroma, with the seeds. Hazy deep red, nice persistent off-white head. Full palate, sweet, slippery. Some pleasant sweet malts, but ruined by way too much raspberry. Some twigginess, but way too sweet. Does cover the alcohol very well, until it hits your throat, as after you’ve swallowed there’s quite a warming burn on the way down. It’s not badly made, but it’s a concept that is just messed up. Raspberry totally messes this up. Don’t let it warm up, it’s horrifically boozy if you do that.
3.0375 ml bottle. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours a cloudy reddish/brown color with about a half inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like raspberry juice, caramel malt, orange peel and booze. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there’s also fruity tartness and a weird medicinal/herbal flavor noticeable. Taste reminds me more of a fruit beer than a barleywine, but the medicinal flavor doesn’t do this brew any favors, it tends to get worse the longer I’m drinking it. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it’s a bit slick and syrupy with a good amount of carbonation. Overall this was a disappointment for me since I’ve liked most of the To Øl beers I’ve had before. It was interesting and worth a try once, but I wouldn’t buy this again (not at $11.99 a bottle, anyways). But hey, I finished the bottle with no problem so it couldn’t have been too bad.
