To Øl Mochaccino Messiah

To Øl Mochaccino Messiah

This is our attempt of substituting the morning mochaccino coffee with a beer. You get the nicely roasted chocolate malts, some creamy lactose for the milk and a shot of nutty espresso coffee in your mug. And then some alcohol, it seemed just as obvious as vodka in a white russian.
We do not recommend opting for this beer instead of coffee (all the time...) – Original “The Monday Morning Mochaccino Messiah”

Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, flaked oats, lactose, Hops (Simcoe, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial), coffee and Yeast.

3.5 Butelka 330 ml. Ee, nie było aż tak kawowe. Takie właśnie brownie, klasyczne bym powiedział z dodatkiem kawy, może troszku waniliowe. Ciemne, beżowa piana; słodowe; dość spoko, średnie ciało.
4.0 Dark brown with large beige head. Aroma is hazelnut some syrup a whiff of espresso and dense vanilla. Taste is bitter coffee ground with sweet hazelnut balancing it perfectly. This is actually some coffee that I like.
3.8 This is a backlog rating from 2014 from a bottle picked up at Party Source, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are toasted malts, coffee, chocolate, caramel, tasty brown ale.
3.6 Bottle. 7.0%. Best before 04.07.20; 4m, 11d past. Pours a hazy brown, with a tan head. Good lacing. Sweet aroma, slightly dusty, with ashy and (cold) coffee notes. Hint of vanilla. Flavour is the same, with malt in the background. Remotely tart. Bitter finish, somewhat dry. Ashy. Lingering fruity note. Overall fairly good. 15.11.20.
3.8 A small bottle from Liberty Wine Merchants on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. A 4 ounce sample in a small snifter. A very dark beer with moderate pale tan head and a pleasant nose of coffee and cocoa in about equal portion. On the palate the coffee is the stronger impression, mixed with some lactose. I can readily understand why this is a brown ale, not a porter or stout, as the background lacks the intensity of the last two. Yeh, I like it, but my initial impression is that considering it’s a brown ale, not a porter or stout, they might’ve overdid it just a tad on the coffee flavoring. I’ll give this a go later and we shall see.. ..about an hour later with more chill on the bottle, I think they got the balance about right. Good stuff!
3.9 Bottle from Deconinck. Pours hazy dark brown-black with a lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of prune jam, macadamia, walnut, toast, mocha, coffee bean, raw vanilla, dark toffee. Taste has sweetish prune, toffee & sugared mocha on a thick nutty, sweet-toasty base, bitter coffee bean renders earthy notes in the back. Dry, toasty, herbal hoppy finish, tad peppery, hinting at tobacco even, nice mocha lingering. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice and creamy.
3.6 Tap @ skaal, Copenhagen. Pours a brown colour beer with a medium head with a medium head. Roasted malt with notes of coffee, chocolate and spices. Dry finish.
4.2 330ml bottle in 2016. Super dark brown, near black with a tan head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, lactose and roasted nuts. Dark malt, sweet (not too much) coffee and molasses flavours. Very nice body.
4.0 [33cl bottle from Beer 52.] A bright chestnut coloured pour with a tight cream coloured head; aroma of chocolate and coffee, just as anticipated; smooth and silky in the mouth with some prickly chocolate malts and bitter coffee; then a little sweetness and creaminess as the lactic acid kicks in and a little alcohol teasing on the finish. A very moreish and drinkable brown ale.
4.3 De Degustasur. En copa Teku. Viendo The Boys 1x07.
2.8 Brown. Reddish when exposed to light. Brownish white head, like soap, four fingers, good retention. Soft carbonation visually. Watery texture with little fizz. Aroma is faint coffee, herbal coffee, some cheap chocolate, malts, soap. Taste is herbal coffee, cheap coffee, chocolate, sugar, malts. Soft sweetness. Soft bitterness at the end. Alcohol well integrated. Disappointing, really disappointing.
3.7 Pivo u flaši. Popijeno u Gourmet Shopu & Tasting Roomu "Pötãman" u Premanturi. E to je James Brown ! Aroma tamnog slada i malo slatkasta. I feel good ! :)
3.8 Copenhagen 7/4 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Label with 7 miniatures - one for each letter in "messiah". Quite chaotic with different styles, colors and so on. But not without charm. Pours very dark - almost opaque - dark brown with a big off-white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer completely. Substantial lacing. Aroma is well balanced between the sweet and the bitter. Cocoa, brown sugar balanced by bitter coffee. Light notes of nuts. Light carbonation. Soft, medium thick, sticky, oily texture. Flavor is medium sweet balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering and strong. Pleasant, dark and intense.
3.9 Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, coffee, toast, light sweet notes, light coffee sourness, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty coffee bitter sweet finish. Ok.
3.7 Hazy ruby/brown pour, two finger frothy beige head. Very good retention, long lasting. Lots of lacing on the glass as it goes down. Nose has notes of caramel and coffee, a bit liquory with subtle roasty notes. Thin to medium body, average carbonation. Soft texture, pleasant mouthfeel, goes down quite smoothly. Roasty bitter taste with very subtle sweet notes. Aroma of roasted malt, wood and coffee. Herbal notes. Mild cocoa. Slightly sticky. A bit of hop citrus notes in the aftertaste. Finishes dry and bitter. Quite good. Perhaps lacking in body a bit.
4.0 Bottle. Color: Black, beige head. Aroma: Roasted malt, mocha, coffee. Taste: Moderate to medium sweet and bitter, roasted malt, lightly boozy with very nice and pretty intense notes of coffee and mocha, some milk chocolate and hints of creamed milk. Long lasting cocoa bittery fnish. Bit sticky. Creamy mouthfeel, below average carbonation and over medium body. Great beer.
3.7 Can from EEBRIA. Hazy dark brown with a foaming light brown head. Aroma of milk chocolate and coffee. Very appealing taste, dominated by espresso coffee with notes of chocolate, hazelnuts and boiled milk. Moderate bitterness. This beer is not sweet, but is well-balanced and highly drinkable. Another great brew from To Ol.
3.5 How: bottle, bb: 04/07/20 Head: two finger, light tan. Dense& creamy. Colour: dark brown with red highlight Aroma: lactose, cold coffee, nuts, some roast, some citrus fruits. Taste: thin/medium body, lively carbonation, velvety mouthfeel, coffee, nuts. Rather long bittersweet aftertaste.
3.3 Pours black with a faint reddish hue, generous tan head. Smell of liquorice, coffee. A bit bitter, tastes like a booze coffee. Low body
3.6 Lot of roasted malt, vanilla, lactose and coffee in the flavour. As someone who likes their coffee bitter and strong, the lactose sweetness isn't something I enjoy too much with this and the hoppiness doesn't work well with the other flavours for me.
3.7 Roasted malt, coffee and strong dark chocolate from start to finish. Bitter overpowers the sweet.
3.4 Bottle. Pours a black colour with a fluffy beige head, the aroma is roasted malt with a hint of coffee, the taste is medium bitterness and feels rich with chocolate with a dry bitter finish.
3.7 Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.
3.3 15/20 huge smooth coffee taste, nice sweetness, big aftertaste, no grit, really tasty
Klar Thema verfehlt!
3.8 330ml bottle, shared with a friend at Za RazBIRAchi, Ruse. Pours opaque with a fine beige mousse head, that soon settled to a surface mist and a collar of lacing. Dark brown in colour. Aromas of coffee, chocolate milkshake, cream and vanilla. In the mouth, smooth, thick and creamy with a high level of fine carbonation, intense coffee flavours, along with vanilla, chocolate and cream, mid bitterness leading to a long clean finish, no real hop flavours or sourness. Overall, exactly as promised, designer coffee in a beer, and very good.
3.9 330 ml got this one at Saraburi great taste and small
