To Øl / Omnipollo Brewmance Imperial Bourbon Barrel Aged Wild Honey Stout

We bring to you a big black dirty deep delicious crazy craving creepy imperial stout created on the love to extreme beers and stupid ideas. We bring to you a fairytale. A love story between two scandinavian breweries whos destiny was simply just meant to be. We bring to you Brewmance. An Imperial Stout, that has been brewed with honey from the Swedish female urban honey collective called BeeUrban. The Bee hives here are placed on different rooftops in Stockholm and the honey is extreme in every way. After fermentation the beer has matured 3 months in Bourbon Barrels. Cheers!

3.9 Bottled from Systembolaget. A few years old. Black with almost no head. Sweet, vinous, wooden aroma with acidic notes. Sweet flavour with cold coffee, dark and dry chocolate and honey.
4.1 Bottle. Pours black with big brown head and lots of lacing. Nose is dark chocolate and licorice. Taste is vanilla, coffee and chocolate. Boozy.
3.7 Bottle. Very dark brown with a tiny brown head. Malty and fruity tones. Malt, fruit vanilla, hops and bitterness. Full body with a long bitter sweet finish.
3.8 Svart. Inga bubblor. Luktar lite lakrits. Smakar mycket. Olika. Lakrits och bränt och kaffe.
4.6 No date but purchased All Star Week 2015 from Kung Food Chu Amerasia. Poured July 28, 2015 in to a Mad ElF tulip/snifter. Look - Dark brown to black. Finger of tan head with 90 degree pour from beginning. Lacing and head are similar in that they are there but dissipate in a minute or two. Smell - Boozy. Vanilla. Dark fruit. Hops and honey come forward when swirled. Honey doesn’t come through as expected. Taste - Marshmallow. Coffee. Char. Chocolate. Bourbon. Black cherry. Feel - Very smooth feeling despite ABV and barrel. No carbonation bomb but not flat. Burn on tongue from hops or alcohol minimal. Overall - I have a feeling this was aged a little longer than expected. Very mellow. Very good barrel aged stout. It is hard to mess up but good nonetheless.
4.0 A very dark brown black beer with a dark coffee coloured head. A rich fruit pudding aroma, candied peel, raisins, treacle, then a mild woodiness that bring in a hint of spice. Dry mouthfeel. A dry taste, the woodiness and the vanilla spice lead, adding a dry nutty flavour. This is followed by slightly smoother dried fruit flavours, raisins and candy peel, plus treacle and bready. Towards the end a boozy tartness comes in. The finish is long, dry nutty and woody, with a boozy tartness and slightly sweet dried fruit.
3.9 Smaksprøve fra Rune. Kullsort. Lavt farget bobleskum. God sjokoladearoma med hint av lakris. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Rik smak med mye lakris. Et visst preg av tørr sherry. Langvarig tørr ettersmak. Utmerket øl!
3.6 375ml bottle with a black neck, topped by a cork and a wire cradle. Bubbly tan-coloured head, nice lacework on the glass. Black as pitch. Smell of cocoa, vanilla oak, mid-sweet. Taste of dark fruits, earth, biscuit and bourbon beneath it all. Drying aftertaste warming down the swallow. Likable Saturday night sipper at home in Tromsø, 25.04.2015.
3.4 Bottle split at Bruces pad - for the last time, thanks to Daniel, 27/03/15. Black topped with a moderate tan swirl. Nose is rich roast, herbal, spice, woody notes, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises ashen tones, earthy roast, chocolate, herbal notes, light spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with warming alcohol tones. Ok but lower order for the style.
3.6 375ml, BB Dec 2022 (2012 vintage?), 11.2%. Shared at Bruce’s. Black, no real head. Aroma is papery, card, chocolate, woody. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is drying, chocolate, a little honey, boozey, dry ashy finish. Nice enough.
3.6 Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Daniel. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. The nose has some roast, fusel alcohol, burnt wood. Medium sweet flavor with some bitter dark chocolate, oily dark fruits, earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with more cocoa, burnt wood, more dark fruits. Pretty decent.
3.3 Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours jet brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, juicy, oily, apple brandy, sweet, syrupy, sticky and burnt rocky road. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, charred wood, dirt, burnt sugar, rocky road, leather and ash with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Ok. So-so.

3.7 Sötalkoholisk doft av vanilj & bourbon samt havre. Smak: Söt, chokladig havrekrisp, Metalton, vanlig bourbon smak
3.7 Black pour. Small tan head. Little bit of lacing. Alcohol nose up front. Roast and slight honey follow. Taste is roasty and a little hot.
3.4 Bottle, a direct purchase from BOE shop/warehouse, Spechey, Kings Lynn, consumed at home Sunday 4th January 2015 Pours black with creamy beige/tan head. A little treacle on nose and also in mouth, in fact more treacle than honey, a bit fresh and fruity but dark roastiness. Thick in mouth, there is a little nod towards Bracia, but only a cursory nod, believe me it’s good, but it isn’t half as good as Bracia. Drinks easier than it should but if truth be known I am a little underwhelmed, sad really as I rate these breweries very highly. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4
3.7 pitch dark, smooth light brown head. bitter roasted malts, flowery honey notes, also wood, booze. in general a solid, bitter malty stout with sweet notes but nowhere near too sweet. This is really very very good. flavor is bitter roasted malty, metal, flowey, slightly nutty, flavor appears a bit thin compared to aroma. aftertaste is boozy bitter.
3.5 Pours a dark deep brown/black, brown head with thin film. Aroma is roasted malt, sugar, bourbon, light honey, booze, silky milk chocolate. Flavor is sweet malt, boozy bourbon, caramel, coffee grounds, warm booze finish. Big and boozy beer, low carbonation, hot finish.... Not that smooth.
4.2 375ml bottle - Big things come in small packages. The pour is pitch black, a rich mocha colored head rises up quickly and hangs around for a surprisingly long time. Aroma is chock-full of goodness. Bourbon, vanilla, brown sugar and scorched sugar. Hefty sweetness left behind on the palate supports the chocolate and bourbon in the beer, the vanilla and mocha flavors also are easily supported as well. Decadent.
3.8 on tap at mikkeller and friends, august 2013. almost black with a thin but steady beige head; aroma of vanilla ice cream and coffee grounds; light touch of woody honey sweetness with some chocolate mudcake and some warming bourbon in the finish
3.7 Drucken på Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival. Helt ok, men inte så mycket mer.

3.9 Shared bottle on 24th Aug 2014 at the Midlands Meet. What a lovely beer. Slight haze to the almost black pour, small tan head. The aroma was sweet malty and with more than a hint of honey. The taste was more on the chocolate side with dark fruits flavours from the roasted malts: traces of both the honey and woody bourbon barreling added an extra dimension to this very drinkable brew.
3.6 Bottle@ midland tasting group. Black beer with small tan head. Aroma of toffee, roasted malts and a hint of honey. Taste is dark malts, treacle and bourbon. Oily palate. Good stuff.
4.0 Bottle @ Midlands Bottle Share, at Richies Hop Palace. Thanks to Rich. Pours deep black with an aroma of dark fruits and dulled woody bourbon. Taste is intense with chocolate, heavy dark malts, earthy notes and a slick mouthfeel. Very nice.
4.1 Bottle courtesy of alexsdad06, thank you sir! Completely black, massive thick brown head with good retention and a thick curtain of lacing. Aroma of licorice, birnt espresso, dark cocoa. Taste is booze, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Thick and rich.
3.8 Bottle at Midlands Tasting Group via Mikkeller on line shop; hazy almost black pour with a tiny tan head, aroma is very sweet with some hints of honey, taste is very bold, chocolate, roasted malts, honey, bourbon is there but not massively.
4.0 Bottle shared at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade, july 24th 2014. Thick black body with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, bourbon, cocoa, wood. Taste is a bomb of black coffee, vanilla, chocolate brownies, oak, nice, complex and intense, with a good unfermented honey sweetness, alcohol notes in finish with a pleasant roasty and honey sweet aftertaste. Pretty nice stuff!
3.9 Bottle. 8/15/14. So excited for this. Pours black as night with a creamy, oily brown head. Aroma is honey, alcohol, dark fruits, vanilla, molasses, brown sugar, wood (oak), bourbon, toffee, syrup. Lots of wood in the aroma. Smells otherworldly (good). Taste is brilliant; earthy, a little hot, grass, leather, cocoa, roast malts, wood, sweet honey, some surprising notes of light colored fruits, vanilla; finish is lots of roast malt, bourbon, leather. Thin but full lacing. Incredibly rich and full mouthfeel. Medium-low carbonation. I had been looking forward to this for so long and it did not disappoint. Hardcore. Rock and roll. Bourbon barrels, honey, intensity. Yes! Well done.
4.0 Bottle at Craig’s. Pours black, rich sweet chocolate roast, sweet fruity honey.
