4.1 Pours black into a tulip. Mocha head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Vanilla and chocolate aromas. Thick with sweet bourbon and vanilla upfront turning to hot espresso in the dry, lasting finish.

Alkohol wyczuwalny dodaje szlachetności w aromacie, intensywny i bardzo przyjemny. Smak oddaje paletę z aromatu jest na bogato, dębina, wanilia, gorzka czekoladka z wiśniowym likierem, czekolada, kakao. Piwo jest wyraźnie słodkie, pełne i owocowe, ale w kontrze ze słodyczą stają nuty winne kwaskowe, co redukuje słodycz w odczuciu i sprawia ze piwo dobrze się pije. Alkohol ułożony wyczuwalny na szlachetną nutę, rozgrzewa, goryczka zauważalna, pasuje. Piwo GENIALNE skończone, RIS-owe WOW. Lubie słodkie piwa i dawno nie piłem czegoś równie dobrego.

4.0 Pours black with low tan head. Aroma of mild peats, cedar wood, chocolate, light coffee, sweet barrels. Taste is sweet, boozy, chocolate, bit of muscovado and dried fruit, sticky sweet finish. Some lingering peats. Rich and creamy body with soft carbonation.

3.8 25 cl bottle @ home (as Yule Mælk BA). Black color. Brown head with reasonable retention. Aroma's: sweet, lactose, boozy, red fruit, sweet chocolate. Retronasal it's fruity, boozy (both from the sherry & cognac I'm assuming), lactose sweetness, milk chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet, alcohol, some roasty bitterness. Fairly strong alcohol feel, warming. Medium bodied. Long finish resulting in a roasted bitterness.

3.5 16/20 has an insanely boozy taste and slight alcohol burn unless sipped. Full of flavour with the sherry and cognac really coming through.

Clear medium black brown colour with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt, sweet malt, wood - cherry stone, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, roasted, wood - cherry stone, alcohol. Pod światło nawet klarowny. Piana: Bardzo ładna, trwała, bujna. Otacza całą powierzchnię szkła. Przy przechylaniu bombarduje ścianki setkami kropeczek. Po opróżnieniu kielicha nadal jej część pozostaje w środku. Zapach: W aromacie umiarkowane nuty ciemnych owoców. Pojawiają się wiśnie, śliwki i ciemne winogrona. Wraz z nimi intensywne nuty drewniane. Potężna dębina, mokre dębowe słoje. Po większym ogrzaniu nuty jabłek i gruszy. Dalej karmel, lekkie toffi i lukrecja. Smak: Rewelacyjny smak! Ideał beczki po Cognac'u. Masa nut owocowych: jabłka, gruszki, śliwki, morele. Po głębszym zapoznaniu się z zawartością butelki wchodzą nuty Sherry, charakterystyczne mokre drewno i nutki ciemnych wiśni. Dalej już tylko sama słodycz: karmel, toffi, lukrecja. Im bardziej ogrzewam piwo w dłoniach, tym bardziej pełne ono się staje. Coraz więcej w nim karmelu, wanilii i toffi. Delikatna goryczka podkreślona przez akcenty kawy i tanin. Piękne, pełne i oleiste ciało. Po mistrzowsku zatuszowany alkohol, a w końcu to nie jakiś byle stoucik, a 15% Alko! Boskie, kremowe i aksamitne odczucie w ustach. Fascynujący Imperial Stout! Wysycenie: Niskie. Podsumowanie: Aromat, pomimo iż przyjemny, nie wyrywa z butów i nie powoduje omdlenia. Smakowo natomiast piwo może się mierzyć z najlepszymi amerykańskim Imperialnymi Stoutami. Świetna równowaga, kremowa, głada tekstura. Doskonałe podkreślenie obu beczek (zarówno po Sherry, jak po Cognac'u). Intensywny i różnorodny owocowy profil (jabłka, gruszki, morele, śliwki, ciemne winogrona). Sporo nut dębiny i drewna. Całościowo porywający RIS, znakomity pod każdym względem.

4.3 Bottle from Flask. Black with a dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, wood and cognac. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Sweetand rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Oily, soft and smooth. 190917

4.2 Bottle @home, (Clear out the cellar evening). Pours Black, tan head. Nose is coffee, chocolate, malty, coconut. Taste is more of the same, maybe some slight lactic, spices, whisky.

4.4 8.5 oz bottle from Bin Q. Rich and decadent, and the high ABV is magically hidden. Flavors of fig, dates, chocolate, vinous, and woody aromas from the barrels. Integrated so well. Outstanding!

4.1 Tasting at SF, as To Øl Yule Mælk (BA Cognac & Sherry Edition) Black color. This Imperial Stout balances the alcohol and the sweetness, the dark malt depth, with vinous notes and barrel. Rich beer. Excellent.

3.6 250mL bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt, liqueur, woody barrels, and booze. Flavour is robust, with huge roasted malt, intensely sweet liqueur and some barrel notes. Near-cloying sweetness, but it’s decadent. Very good.

4.5 Drank 12-8-17 while writing. Really nice. Alcohol is quite hidden, the beer is thick and really full bodied. Awesome taste evolution and complex, rich, long lasting taste. Great.

4.3 Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Black colored. AROMA- chocolate, liquer, chocolate dessert, cocoa powder, touch of coffee, blackberries. FLAVOR- sweet, blackberries, cocoa, almond candies, cognac, chocolate, pleasantly bitter finish. Full bodied. Great.

4.4 250 ml bottle as Yule Mælk BA. Black color with creamy brown head. Aroma has some acidic fruity notes like cherries along liquor filled chocolate pralines. Taste starts fruity and slightly sweet, continues with cognac, dried fruits like figs and dates, finishes with nutty, woody bitterness. Medium body with soft carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Really complex flavors, integrated very well. Alcohol is present but does not bother.

3.9 250ml bottle @ the office. Pours black with a very thin tan head. Nose is cognac with a sweeter note that I assume is influenced from the sherry. Flavour is boozy cognac, sweet and medium bodied... however for the abv is quite good.

3.7 Bottle - Dark sweet boozy cherry notes. Jet black brown with a small light brown head. Big barrel and bitter chocolate malts. A bit over the top, but decent.

3.8 250ml bottle shared at Brian’s office. BB Jan-2025. Pours an almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sherry and some buttermilk notes. Taste is very swert with sherry and molasses notes. Good stuff.

3.9 33cl Bottle @ LaBIRRAtorium, Madrid, Spain. Black colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, licorice, whiskey, oak. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, milk chocolate, caramel, whiskey, oak. Full body, soft carbonation.

3.8 8 3 8 3 16 Bottle shared at THT June ’17. Near black with a ring tan head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, toffee, booze and light lactose. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation. [16/06/2017]

3.6 The aroma is full of chocolate, coffee, bitter chocolate, vanilla and sour cherries. The color is pitch black and there are particles (yeast?) floating around. The taste is full of chocolate, coffee, bitter chocolate, vanilla, sour cherries and coffee beans. A nice beer with a nice warmth going down the throat in the finish.

3.6 Jakie jest najlepsze szkło sensoryczne świata? To dostępne pod ręką. Tu wywalone prosto z gwinta, butelka miniaturowa, 250ml. Zapach rzecz jasna beczkowy, ale mi, który wszystkie te kokosowo waniliowe aromaty w BA odbiera jako kiszonkę, solidnie ta beczka podeszła! Poza beczka delikatna kawka. Z nosa bym sie nie domyślił, ze z laktozą. Zdecydowanie trzeba odjąć punkty za podniebienie, brakuje mu jakiejś pełni, głębi, gęstości (kurde, to piwo po pierwsze ma święta w nazwie, a po drugie w święta je wypuszczają, powinno byc syropem!) oraz jest zdecydowanie przegazowane (!!!!). Na plus mu jednak trzeba oddać, że, pomimo monstrualnego abv15%, alkoholu nie czuć wcale, a w dekiel mi wykopała ta niepozorna buteleczka okrutnie. Laktoza może i coś tam w odczuciu dała, ale szału nie ma... Po raz kolejny zauważam, że polskie piwa z ocenami powyżej 3,85 wcale nie są znowu tak zawyżone, daleko już nam do europejskiej czołówki nie brakuje. A beczka prawie zawsze smakuje tak samo... Ciekawy kawowo razowy aftertaste. Mało w tym wszystkim risa, uwierzyłbym, jak by mi ktoś powiedział, ze to jakiś przegięty porter bałtycki.

4.0 Full bodied syrupy and smooth low carbonated black beer with small brown head. Roasted malts, caramel, coffee, whiskey, sherry, oak. Very nice. Quite balanced and strong in flavors.

3.1 moze ładnie wyglada, ale aromatycznie nie za bardzo, czuję delkitane nuty rozpuszczalnikowe pomieszane z czekoladą, likierem, duzo suszonych, ciemnych owoców. jakies takie puste, popiołowe, słodka wiśniowa czekolada. szczypie alkohol, mało ciała, nieciekawe.

More dark chocolate, creamy, sweet, dark fruits, prunes, blackberries, more dark malts, soft carbonation, full bodied. Nice Impy, great palate, but aroma is a bit of a let down.
