3.2A pretty decent IPA with all the hallmarks of the variety.
Nice and robust floral nature with a smooth mouthfeel and strong malty character.
3.5Pours an orange / amber color. Nose of pine, citrus. Very easy to drink - some citrus and bitterness, but lacks a big hoppy bite at the end like traditional IPAs. More like an APA. Not complex, but good.
3.4Great amber pour, not much head (but may be bottle i bought in the bar), mildly hoppy and good finnish.
3.8Picked up in Idaho Springs. I agree that it is not what I would consider a traditional IPA. Mild hops. The first taste has a sweet fruit flavor to it. Nice carmel color.
3.5A medium-bodied pale ale with a small head. The beer is mildly hoppy and has a very light aftertaste.
3.7The label is misleading because it reads IPA but tastes more like an American pale ale very fruity and citrus hop aroma. Hop flavor is balanced well with malt, although an IPA should have more hop flavor characteristics. Clean malt profile flavor and smooth. Very easy to drink.
3.3Bottle from Wegman’s. Pours turbid orange with off-white head. Nose is pale malt, hopcitrus. Tastes as it smells, with the pale malt up front dominating and the hops coming up the rear.
3.2Bottle from total wine. Cloudy dark orange color. Apricot and orange aromas. Good body but the hop flavor may be a little faded here. Finish has a touch of citrus bitterness. A more citrusy apa but nothing to really jump up and down about.
3.1Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-whit ehead. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Hazy amber beer, little white head. Crisp palate turning softer, well balanced. Good malt base for some mildly bitter orange marmalade hops. Finishes with creamy malt and a little bitterness in the aftertaste. Tasty little beer.
3.412 oz bottle..Pours dark orange with a small white head... Aroma has notes of some citrus, pine and grass smell... Taste is good with hoppy and pney bite...good beer.
4.512oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy burnt orange with about 4 fingers of thick white head. Aroma of citrus hops and caramel. Taste is light bitter and light sweet. Lots of citrus with a little dash of caramel. Full bodied with a creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, very good. I could drink this every day.
2.9Tap @ the brewpub, Idaho Springs. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of light malt, toast, grassy and citrusly hops. Taste is much like aroma, alittle weak, with malt, caramel, light grassy and citrusly hops. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. 040312
3.4Pour: A nearly clear medium copper. Nose: Very nice hop presence. Good hints of citrus, not overly assaulted by hops. Taste: Mild spices, little citrus and less bite than expected based on nose. A little thin on the mouth, but pleasant. Decent IPA, especially nice to get locally.
2.6Light and pale with a malty overall taste. The finish is rather weak and lacking in the bitter hops that I expected. Light considering the alcohol content.
3.1Pour is light yellow-brown with some cloudiness. Small white head. Aroma is faint but there are notes of mild citrus and hops bitterness with some slight fruit in the background. Flavor is of sweet caramel with a hoppy finish. Thin body, but not bad.
3.5Bottle. Aroma has notes of floral, grass, citrus, caramel. Medium amber hue with an average white foamy head that mostly diminished and left ok lace. Flavor is medium sweet and bitter. Palate is medium bodied and oily soft. Overall a solid brew that is enjoyable.
3.3Pours orange with white head from bottle labeled pick axe IPA. Aroma has notes of some citrus, pine and grassy notes, touch of biscuit and caramel in there as well, fairly subdued however. Taste is some vegetal green hops with a touch of pine and grass notes, touch of biscuit with a slightly bitter finish.
3.0Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of caramel malt, grassy and garlicky hops. Flavor is on the malty side, lots of caramel malts, but also the same spicy, garlicky hops in the finish. Overall flavor is more focused on the bland caramel malt. Not one of the better pale ales, but compared to the other Tommyknocker beers I’ve tried so far, this is the real winner.

3.1Pours amber brown, clear with a offwhite head. Aroma is caramel, citrus and some pineyness. Taste is bitter with a acidic citrus finish. Light mouthfeel, not as sticky as it smells.
2.9bottle. Hazy light brown. Nose is light malts and light hops. Taste is very mild hops and a bit of maltiness. A small amount of alcohol detected. Decent body. Not bad but not memorable.
3.6Red-amber color, hazy; small head. This little Ale has a very good, and quite sweet, caramel flavor, and the fruity hops are rather perfumy, a bit resiny on the palate. Fully enjoyable.
3.4Bottle pours orange/amber with an off-white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, citrus, pine, and light florals. Flavor shows the same with additional biscuit and earthy notes. Overall it’s a pretty simple, straightforward pale, but solid nonetheless.
3.3Bottled@GBBF2010. Slightly hazy pale reddish orange colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and also has some mild liquorice. Also some quite strong bready malts. Flavour is bready malts, crystal malts as well as some floral and grassy hops. More sweet notes appear once it warms up a bit.
3.9First brew I tried from this brewery. I was not disappointed. Copper color and a thin white head. I knew I would enjoy this brew because of the aroma which is of floral hops and some malts. The beer had a nice balance of sweetness at the beginning, with malty middle, and a good bite of hops and bitter in the finish. Right on style, maybe lingering in the IPA range. I will need to buy another, and try a few more from this brewery.
3.612oz bottle from the Mother Lode sampler. Off-white one finger thick persisting head, hazy amber-orange color. I’ve never had an English Pale Ale, only the American variety, so that’s all I have to compare to. 6.2% is slightly stronger than the typical APA, so it’s got that going for it... Suprisingly hoppy up-front, which lasts through the medium-length finish causing a tasty bitter aftertaste. 2 sips in and I’m impressed. Not too strong though, still very drinkable... More so than some of the sub-6% IPAs I’ve tried. Very smooth, not overly carbonated or sharp. Dry aftertaste. Really impressed with this one, best of the bunch so far.
3.112 oz bottle from a mix 6pack purchased at Joe Canal’s Brick, by the way that store blows. Poured a good looking orange body with some rising bubbles and a huge frothy white head that had some serious lasting power and left lots of lace. Aroma started off with some dry grassy hops that quickly led way to loads of juicey orange meat and cereal grains. Body is to fizzy from an overload of carbonation. Flavor has the slightest hint of butter sneaking in which was a huge turn off for me. Dry hops, cereal grains, toast, citrus rind make up the remining flavors. Actually this was a touch better then I was expecting.
3.6Bottle. Pours a hazy golden copper with thin tan head. Appeasing aroma of floral and fruit. Taste is medium bitter. Medium body and carbonation, average level of bitterness in finish. Overall a solid brew.
3.2A first for me... English Pale Ale? Smelled bright and fruitful, with a nice bitter slap of oranges and sweet malts. The taste was a little different. While it had a hoppy character, there was a wheaty flavor in there that killed the bitterness too soon. And I like my hops. The finish was tangy, but not too bitter. Twas’ a great beer, though a confusing one on the palate at that.
2.9It poured a yellowish color with a little head. The aroma was a little weak. There were hints of pine hops, grass, and more floral hops. The flavor was pine and grass. A bitter aftertaste.
