3.2 330ml Bottle. Clear orange golden beer, white head. Malty aroma, fruity yeast, slighty sweet. OK tripel, not impressive but good value for money. I recommend it.
2.9 Bottle. Golden, average and fully diminishing head. Moderate, malty – light wheat with caramel sweet aroma, light fruitiness and light spiciness (coriander). Body is medium, malty – light wheat and lightly sweetish flavor, some caramel and light fruitiness. Finish is average, malty – lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish, some caramel and light spiciness, some alcohol. Bit one-dimensional tripel. Not so so sweet, though.
3.1 Pours a transparent golden orange with lively bubbles. The head is slightly off white, creamy tight bubbles and thick lacing. The nose is full of candied sugar and malt notes, spicy yeast, light metalic twang, faint lemon and some light citrusy hops. The taste is much of the same, candied sugars, faint chocolate malt, spicy yeast punch, lemon and faint citrus and floral hops in the finish. Body is light, very wet and soft on the tongue, strong carb and touch of a dry finish. A bit sweet in flavor and lacks the yeast and spice to balance.
3.2 From backlog Head: White, creamy, small Colour: yellowish/blond, bit hazy Smell: hops, yeast, bittersweet, hops Taste: overall palate is yeasty and doughy, thick, bitter slight sweetness, bit of hops
4.5 750ml Bottle from Dionizos long time ago (2011) Thanks. Taste in 11.02.2012, chocolate, butterscotch, clove, nuts, caramel, orange, tan foam, rocky head, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, heavily sour, salty, full body, creamy, average carbonation, bitter an some floral.
2.9 Getreidiger Geruch. Geschmack malzig-süßlich. Insgesamt ein sehr weiches Tripel, das ohne größere Überraschungen arbeitet. Solide.Test vom 14.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche
3.5 Cloudy golden color with a good thick white head. Aroma of malt. Flavor is fruity and good.
3.3 Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty and light spicy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. 280810
3.5 Bottle at Trappist in Ninove. Bright and clear golden color, thick solid white head. Aroma of hite pepper. Taste is sweet throughout with decent balance.
2.9 Transparent gold, small white head of small bubbles. Nose reminds of an east coast beach, sand and a bit of grass, lotion, perhaps some dough as well. Flavor of banana, yeast, light chocolate, all through the zesty, high-carbonation finish. Decent flavor, poor nose, bland throughout.
3.1 Clear orange golden beer, white head. Malty aroma, fruity yeast, slighty sweet. Flavour malty, slightly sweet, some sour tones. Light citrus. Rather dry finish. OK tripel. Good value for money (in Belgium at least) (Draught @ café Schuttershof, Zondereigen, Belgium)
2.9 Abgelaufene Flasche. Hefig-saurer, leicht alkoholischer Geruch. Test vom 7.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,9,9,9,9 - 9,10
3.8 An only slightly hazy goldenbrown beer without good white head. Nose of apple, cheesy bread, grapes. Not very articulate. Fizzy mouth feel that’s mostly about the sweets at first, with the alcohol well in the back. More bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable and smooth for a Belgian tripel. Although not very special, I like it. Does need the yeast in the bottom to get its full potential. (33cl bottle)
2.9 02.06.2007. 0,33l Bottle. Golden yellow colour with white head. Malty aromawith nice bitterness.
3.5 Pours a bright but hazy yellow-orange with a frothy and lacy ivory head. Spiced apples in the nose, hint of alcohol underpinned by sweet pale malt. Sweet and fruity, with those spiced apple flavors, but some lemony flavors too. Hint of alcohol that helps give it a driness in the finish. Full body and a lingering spicy finish. Pretty good and fairly unique tripel. Picked up at a beer store in La Roche-en-Ardenne, Belgium.
3.3 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Intense aroma of apricots. Beer starts also quite fruity, strong, a bit alcoholic. Modest sourish in the background. Finish milder, but not washy. Fruitiness not as intense as the beginning. Quite drinkable. Good beer!
3.2 Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Pours a hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, highly alcoholic, citrus.
3.7 Bottle. Mildly murky dirty gold colour, the gold that has been on a big fat finger for a while. Thin white head. Aroma is belgian yeast, hops, malt balance citrus, faint cake like smell, faint hint ot marzipan. Flavour is sweet, banana, bit of hops, some yeast. This is quite my thing so I’m probably biased. I like it.
3.7 Tap in Antwerp. Light blonde colour, strong aroma of hops and orange and lemon. Very refreshening, with hints of coriander and orange peels. Dry hoppy finish, good one.
3.2 Bottle. Pours clear golden with an average sized mostly lasting off-white head. Nice carbonation. Good lacing. nose of yeast, light hoppy, fruit, honey. Sweet flavour with mild malts, hops, citrus and caramel. Medium bodied. Slightly bitter finish.
2.8 BED TELLER LOOTING PORN ! With blocked nose it probably wasn’t wise to waste a beer but what the hell? Had it been a classic I mightn’t have bothered. The beer poured golden with an initially thick head. Not much of a smell and to be honest not much of a taste. This is a fairly routine blonde which definitely tastes of 8% but remains fairly anonymous. Strong beer and thats about as far as I could get. Pretty average fare in all with bit of a kick
3.5 bottle - Pours slightly hazy gold with a two finger head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is of malt, yeast, hops, and banana. It tastes mostly sweet with notes of citrus and banana and some mild hops in the lightly dry finish.
3.5 33cl Bottle at Café De Paas. Slightly hazy golden yellow colour, nice frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, malty and hoppy. Flavour is fruity, malty, Some spice like coriander, slightly yeasty and hoppy, with a nice hoppy bitter finish. Medium bodied. Just a bit over-carbonated imo. Nice tripel.
3.0 Bottle: Almost clear, small amount of floaties visible, small stable lacy off-white head; sweetish-fruity nose with grainy traces and some lonesome hops in the background, light phenolic traces, too; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, medium bodied; sweetish malty-fruity finish with a light acidity, followed by an even fainter hoppy tartness. Not bad - but boring.........
3.4 Apperance, Golden and cloudy. Flavour; Fruit and a bit of citrus. Some bitter aftertaste.
3.4 Flaske. Meget lys trippel med et fint lille skumhoved. Parfumeret duft som også slår igennem i smagen. Et lille humlebid til sidst gør at det ikke bliver for meget. Udmærket drikbar øl.
3.3 Pours a nice blond, very small head. Nose is fruity- plums, cherries, apples, and some spice too. Taste is sweet but balanced with some bitter on the finish. Pretty good, may be a bit too sweet for me. Medium mouthfeel, well carbonated.
2.9 Bottle, 330ml. A hazy golden colour with a small head. A barely discernible hop aroma. Flavour of barley, wheat, yeast and spicy hops. A slightly herbal finish with citrus notes.
3.2 Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Golden body, frothy head. Fruity aroma. Sweet taste with fruits, including oranges and apples. Smooth finish.
