Toppling Goliath Golden Nugget IPA

Toppling Goliath Golden Nugget IPA

This spectacularly golden, medium bodied IPA was crafted from a winning combination of Golden Promise malt and Nugget hops.

Fall in love with the big hop aroma of our Golden Nugget as it mingles with fragrances of citrus and evergreen, followed by a floral sweetness. Tropical fruit flavors entice your taste buds before immediately captivating you with a bold, hop forward taste and a pleasant bitterness that lingers in the finish.

3.7 16 ounce can. Hazy orange gold pour. Frothy beige head. Fruity malt nose has a sulphury undertone. Tangy citrus notes with a touch of pine.
3.7 Can. It poured a hazy orange color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, pine and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more citrus, pine, hops, grass, tropical fruits with medium carbonation and a nice bitter sweet aftertaste. Nice.
3.7 My first from the legendary TG, that I recall at the moment. Dark blonde pour. Typical label. Single malt and single hop IPA, an interesting idea, good for educating the palate. Golden Promise provides a mellow, bready, English bitter like base. Earthy, mildly citrusy Nugget hops add an orange liqueur quality. Floral, lightly sweaty aroma. Nice combination & very drinkable.
3.4 Not much aroma; some peach and booze. Taste follows suit; some bitterness and dryness in the finish. Feels much lighter in body and taste than their potent Pseudo Sue "APA" I had earlier even though this is an IPA with the same ABV strength (although admittedly a Hazy NEIPA). I wouldn't be able to session the Pseudo Sue, but I could session this and end up more intoxicated than expected without knowing the ABV beforehand. At any rate, still a decent brew.
3.7 Can from Craft Beer Cellar Clayton. Pours a hazy gold with a quickly dissipating finger of white head. Dank aromas with pine, grass, citrus pith and light marmalade notes. Bitter grass and pine on the palate...quite dry with a soft mouthfeel and slightly lowish carbonation. Lingering pith and grass on the finish.
3.3 Can 473ml (BeerRep, no canning date) Murky orange colour, small white head. Riped mango and pineapple in the nose with some hop pellets. Medium-bodied. Juicy. Low bitterness. Pineapple and mango juice. Juicy well-brewed NEIPA but as such ... maybe a bit boring - another breakfast juice beer.
3.9 Draft at RnH. Pours a murky, rusty orange, thick foamy off-white head. Bright just, pine, grass hops. Light citrus. Good amount of pale malt. Tasty stuff.
3.3 Can, 50 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is malty and a little citrus in the nose. Taste is also malty with a fresh fruity flavour. Medium to high bitterness with a medium carbonation. Oily mouthfeel and a short aftertaste. Interesting and well made beer but not my style.
3.6 Can 473ml at Kultainen Apina. Hazy yellow beer, white head. Sweet tropical fruits, orange, citrus, lactose. Medium body, average carbonation, juicy finish
3.6 Copenhagen 6/3 2019. 47,3 cl can from Mikkeller Webshop. The can looks like bad clip art in Microsoft Word in green and yellow. Pours milky, golden yellow with small white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is sweetish with strong citric, bitter notes. Peach, melon. Grape fruit, citrus and pine. Perfumed. Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, prickly and lively texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little rough. Finish is dry. Fine and bitter NEIPA - although a little perfumed.
3.8 Can. Yellow-orange colour with white head. Citric aroma. Citric, juice, malt, tropical fruits taste. Medium body.
3.5 Yellow, hazy color. Nose of musty citrus. Taste follows with a bitter kick. Decent enough but NEIPA are not my fave.
3.8 Pour is a hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma is a nice mix of citrus and tropical fruit with some honey malt making an appearance as well. Flavor is grapefruit and orange and again I get some honey malt in the flavor. Finish is bitter and leave some hop residual on the tongue. This was a real nice single hop beer.
4.1 hazy pale yellow colour, moderate sized off-white head, which collapses quickly; aroma of tropical fruits, mainly pineapple abd lychee, some peach, grape, maybe pine, too; taste has the same notes wih some biscuity sweetness and minimal celery aftertaste; great IPA, many thanks for sharing, kapusil!
4.1 Can. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Aroma and taste of lychee, grapefruit, pineapple, green leaves and grape seed. Very lively tropical fruity IPA. Nice one.
4.0 473 ml can at home, canned 2.1.2019. Pours a very hazy dirty looking orange. The aroma is hoppy with citric fruits, tangerine, some orange and biscuity malt. Medium body with a soft carbonation a light to medium sweetness and a light to medium bitterness - very well balanced. The flavor is very hoppy, juicy with lots of citric fruits, tropical fruits, orange, mango, grapefruit, tangerine and some herbal, floral notes and some sweetish pale malt in the background. Finishes with a light hoppy bitterness. Very nice and loaded with juicy hops in the flavor which are perfectly balanced by just the right amount of bitterness and malt. Very good. 3.4 Extreme Beer Fest, can. Poured hazy golden, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, cedar, citrus. Taste was mild bittersweet, pine, rind, tropical fruits.
3.9 Gul/orange hazy, høj luftig hvis skum som forsvinder, lidt mudret i bunden. Overordnet et dejlig IPA, humle, citrus, gran, hø i aroma og smag, god balance og fylde, og fin lav/medium bitterhed.
3.9 Can, thanks SirLimpsalot. Hazy golden/orange with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, orange, pineapple, light malt and citrus. The same in the taste. A pleasant one.
3.8 Just white frothy head left a cover on a hazy light copper coloured still body. Big hoppy aroma with Tropical fruits, pineapple, confectionery & onions Medium bodied, sharp to the fore with a clean feel & crisp back. Tasted is as the aroma with Tropical Fruits, melon, sweet citrus, pith, zest & kiwi.
3.7 16oz can. Pours hazy yellow to golden. Aroma of tangerine, grapefruit. Flavor of grapefruit, tangerine rind, citrus, touch of pine.
3.7 From: draft Aroma: hoppy citrus and tropical fruits Appearance: hazy golden orange with a thin beady white head that leaves some wide lacing Taste: mango and citrus. Slight piney bitterness Palate: medium bodied medium carb Overall:
3.9 Burk från glasbanken.se. Disig gul med ett vitt skum. Dofter av apelsinjuice, ananas, blomster och örter. Smakinslag av tropisk fruktsallad, tall, malt och örter. Medelbeska. Fruktig avslutning.
3.8 Citra hops very noticeable in the aroma. Hazy orange color with a white head. Very drinkable, hops are there but not in abundance. More of a pale ale than an IPA. Nice palate. Very good, I would like to try it on draft.
4.0 Pours murky orange with a big fluffy white head. Aroma of orange zest and mango. Flavours of mango, citrus, oranges and some pine. Light fresh body. Light bitterness. Solid.
4.0 Can from Purvis Beer in IPA glass. Pours murky gold w/off-white head, aroma of orange peel, lime, pine. Zesty taste, low carbonation leads to creamy smooth finish
3.6 Can. Pours hazy gold. Aroma and flavor are citrus, faint melon, dank, faint pine, light wheat, and moderate bitterness. Medium body
3.6 From a can. Pours hazy gold with particles and a fizzy off white head. Tastes like resin, grapefruit hops, bready malt, some grass, and some leather. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like grapefruit hops, bready malt, grass, and resin.
