4.6 The aroma is citrus, orange, pineapple and mango. Pours a thick cloudy yellow creamsicle with big whit head, mostly diminishing and excellent lacing. The taste is a very nice bitter. The body is velvety smooth the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. An excellent beer.
4.1 Burk. Disig gulfärgad med ett rejält och beständigt vitt skum. Dofter av mango, ananas, apelsin, örter. Smakinslag av mango, citrus, ananas, blomster, örter, vått gräs. Utmärkt komponerad och balanserad.
4.3 Pours hazy hazy hazy gold with a loosely foamed white head that has some nice legs. Aroma is fantastic topical citrus - mango and pineapple stand out. Silky mouthfeel and so smooth. Taste leans more towards pineapple citrus that resolves into some piney biiter. Super well balanced all the way though. Very rich flavors. A beauty.
3.6 Draught @ Kultainen Apina Aroma is sweetish with fruitiness. Flavour has grapefruit, sweet fruitiness, grapefruit. Surprisingly sweet after the DDH version.
4.4 Hazy yellow color with foamy white head. Nice tropical fruit aroma : Citrus, grapefruit, mango and hops. Taste is smooth with loads of tropical flavors: mango, grapefruit, citrus and pineapple. Finishes with grapefruit bite. Full body, average carbonation. Smooth and juicy with ferocius tropical bite, this is amazing
4.1 [Tasting - Ceresbyen, Aarhus] Aroma: Pineapple, pine, slight soap, tropical vibes, heavily hopped and citrus fruits Appearance: Cloudy yellow with a small everlasting white head Taste: Mildly sweet and heavily bitter, dominating pomelo, pineapple, pine, citrus fruits and grapefruit Mouthfeel: Thick smooth velvety mouthfeel with mild carbonation Overall: Awesome IPA! My can was 1 month old, but still quite nice tropical vibes 🍻
3.7 Fairly opaque orange with a fluffy white head. Aroma of grapefruit peel. Smooth mouthfeel and reasonable hop presence on the palate but not aggressively bitter. Lots of fruity hop flavors.
3.6 Fat på En trappa upp på Pitchers.Disigt gul med vitt skum. Fruktig och balanserad fruktighet i smak och doft
3.4 Draft. Pours hazy pale straw with white head and lacing. Tropical fruit aroma. Grapefruit and light malt. Medium body. Medium-long finish.
3.9 Tap at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 23rd March 2022. Pours a hazy yellow orange. Aroma is orange and tropical fruit, fresh fruit salad. Taste is smooth, fruity and easy to drink. Very decent, but doesn’t blow me away
3.6 It’s agood beer. With true classic ipa bitter firmness. This is sublimely balanced by the malty sweet body. Though it is a little acrid. It’s a nice balance between the classics and the modersn. Beertemple ams
4.3 very hazy pale yellow colour with floating (yeast) particles, large, dense and quite stable ecru-ish head; aroma of lemon peel, pine resiny, grapefruit, some dill, grassy, moderate pineapple and mango notes; taste of syrupy sweetness, definite hoppy bitterness and the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; great IIPA!
4.3 Tap. Moderate bread for the malt, moderate to heavy pine for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with mango, pineapple and deep dankness in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, white, with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy light yellowish amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes slightly sweet and acidic, and lightly bitter. Palate is medium, oily, with a lively carbonation and a moderately alcoholic finish. Superb Hazy DIPA with harmonious aromas and well balanced flavors.
4.2 Pint at a local pub. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a white head and decent lace. Sharp hop aroma, grapefruit and scallion. Bitter grapefruit flavor. Secondary citrus. As you get into it, there’s some faint pineapple. Bitter finish.
3.9 16 oz can. Smells of pineapple and citrus, tangy smell. Yellow orange with sediment. Juicy, tastes of citrus fruits, pineapple, and other tropical notes, flavors are good and robust. Finish is semi sweet with juicy hop goodness. Nice!
4.2 Smooth drinking DIPA with a hazy golden color. Balance of citrus and pine flavor.
4.0 US Pint can from Hi-Time Wines, Costa Mesa. Drank at my daughters place in Laguna Hills on 22nd December 2021. This was my last beer of a mini-session with myself. Hazy/cloudy golden body, huge white head of billowing bubbles. The Citra hop gives of it's well known flavours and esters, so it's an orange/pineapple/mango tropical fruit cocktail of a beer. I liked the alcoholic kick it held too. Nice!
4.0 My first can of King Sue, a tall boy at that. Great expectations, let us see if it delivers. I will pour into my New Belgium globe glass because it just seems to be the thing to do. I determine a very hazy, goldish orange body with a momentary head of large bubbled, near-white foam, settling to a skim. I will say, that is a fine nose, tropical with a bit of pine. A drink gives some good follow-up, pineapple, varnish, pine cones, lemon, some grassiness and orange juice. I like the juicy sweetness and the smaller bitterness. Good for the style, I like others more.
4.2 LCI. Uit blik geschonken. zeer smaakvolle dipa, bitter en zesty, volop citrusfruit in de smaak, hoppig en een prettige lange bitter-fruitige nasmaak. Mooi!
2.6 I'm not sure if this was a bad 4 pack? Every one tasted like they started with a spotted cow and added approx. 50% orange juice. I love Hazy IPAs, but this really was awful. I will try again & update if it tastes any different. Toothpaste, Orange juice & IPA. That's honestly what I tasted on this.
4.2 Great double hazy IPA that was slightly better than the DDH version. Topical and juicy with an even bitterness.
4.4 From can to tulip glass. Amazing beer! Aroma of papaya, citrus and wheat. Hazy yellow with white head that fades. Flavor is MASSIVE citrus fruit in abundance. This is so tasty!
3.9 Can thanks to Todd. Pours a hazy orange hue with a large white head. A big pungent orange citrus nose. Soft, bready sweet malt base, vanilla, huge citrus, smooth orange juice. Very flavorful.
4.6 Best 2IPA ever. Super citrusy, like drinking grapefruit juice. Amazing.
3.7 Draught at Peders. Hazy golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hops and citrus with notes of pine needles and exotic fruits. Fruity flavour of hops and exotic fruits with notes of citrus. Hoppy finish.
4.5 Can from Total Wine in San Jose near Cupertino (say what). Great to see Toppling Goliath here. Pours with a rich super strong pungent citra hop aroma. Well done. Hazy amber orange color. Some light yeast sludge in the back of the pour. Lots of mango, orange and pineapple flavors. Excellent!
3.7 Can thanks to Virby44. Cheers! Murky yellow with a frothy, white head. Big pineapple aroma. Resin and candy underneath. Taste is bitter the whole way through. Lingering, dry bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation. Good, but not exceptional.
4.2 Can, canned 05/20/21. Color: Very hazy milky orange, white head. Aroma: Grassy and bit pine hop, subtle citrus and tropical fruit. Taste: Over moderate to medium bitterness, dank, grassy / wet grass and pine, fruity mango, orange, pineapple, tangerine and stone fruit notes. Wheat malt background. Light sweetness. More bitterness, somewhat less fruity and a bit resinous and dank at long lasting and dry-ish finish. Medium body, average carbonation. I like the 'original' bitterness that's missing in a lot of nowadays (NE)IPA's. Very nice
3.9 Short lived foamy white head left a spotty cover on a hazy pale gold body. Mango, nectarine & hoppy aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth & soft on the tongue with a nicely carbonated clean back. Mango, peach, grape, sweet citrus & minty tastes with a long tangy finish. So tasty.
