3.0 Overall good--light and malty. A nice standard when you are looking for something tasty but inexpensive. Golden color, not a lot of foam, smell is nutty. Taste is a bit weak on the front end but toasty on the back.
2.7 Not bad for cheap beer but I haven't been disappointed with any trader Joes beers to date.
2.0 "i could skip this one. it IS smooth, but that’s because there’s not a whole lot going on flavor-wise, which makes it an easy to drink beer, but nothing more."
2.4 ラガーだけど&# 安くて飲みや& 355ml bttle. Pours a duller amber, struggls to forma cremay head. Aroma is sweet toasted malts, cherry, earth. Flavor is toffee, some diacetyl biscuit, slight grassy earty hops, very light and airy sweet. Not the greatest, kinda flat.

2.1 ほのかに甘い香り ラガーらしいスッキリした味わい 特にこれといった特徴はないか? Earlier Rating: 9/14/2014 Total Score: 2.6 ラガーだけどアンバーみたいなかんじ 安くて飲みやすい
3.3 Since the only real examples of Vienna lagers are from Mexico now, I found this to be an exciting beer. Malty with some residual caramel sweetness yet still very drinkable. Good beer
2.8 12 oz. bottle from the local Trader Joe's. Deep amber body with a medium tan head that fades quick and decent lacing. Smells of bread, slight hops and spice. Taste is again bread with a subtle sweetness and some ginger. Sight aftertaste.
2.8 12 oz. bottle. The nose was hints of yeast and malt driven esters, toastiness, caramel and smooth maltiness. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was good malt content, some lingering quality to the moderate. Very average beer but not in a bad way. Everyday drinking beer.
3.1 12 oz bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours coppery amber on the glass. Toasted bready flavor with a hint of citrus hops. Basic toasted malt aftertaste. Overall, its a decent brew but not too exciting.
2.5 Bottle, amber pour, white head, nose is lacking, some bitter, taste is average, some bitter, some malts, but nothing worth bragging about.
4.3 Strong carmel, almost stoutish. Sweet and mellow. Brown sugar finish. Not bad at all
3.3 Joseph Brau Vienna Style Lager has a thin-to-medium, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, amber appearance, and very little lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, brown bread crust, and a light molasses. Taste is of those elements, with caramel malt, and light hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light to medium and prickly, and Joseph Brau Vienna Style Lager finishes crisp and refreshing. RJT
2.6 Bottle from pikapp327. Amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is a little grainy and caramel. Taste is lightly bitter, toast, and grain.
3.0 Orange/light copper pour, willowy off white head. Nose is malt. Middle is sweet bread. Finish is light, with a slight wack of hops. OK
2.7 Decent looking but mostly bland Vienna. Nice creamy head, but aroma and taste are weak, and musty. My first experience with Trader Joe’s house brews. Not impressed.
3.3 12 oz. bottle poured to a fest goblet, showing a clear & bright amber color, with fairly persistent, fluffy/creamy, light tan head foam, and good cling to the waves & spots of lacing. The nose was hints of yeast and malt driven esters, toastiness, caramel and smooth maltiness. Medium bodied, with decent carbonation, the taste was good malt content, some lingering quality to the moderate, earthy bitterness, and just a hint of malty sweetness on the tongue. Fairly clean lager, and nicely drinkable.
2.9 12 ounce bottle from a mixed 12 pack purchased at Trader Joes in Davis, CA. The aroma is awkward. Sweet, fruity, floral. Some boiled vegetables, too. Pours a nice transparent copper color with a small, white head. Decent lacing, too. Starts with some sweet, caramel maltiness. Becomes a little nutty and lightly toasted in the middle. Finishes with slight metallic, herbal bitterness. Not bad, if you can get past the aroma.
3.3 12 oz. bottle. It pours a very clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is pretty neutral with some toast and mildly fruity Munich quality. The flavor is pretty dry, but has some noticeable caramel malts in the background. Darker flavor than some Viennas, but not a lot of character. Mild bitterness in the finish. A pretty decent drinker.
2.7 11/15/2012. Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Straw yellow color with a white head. Malty aromas with light hops, fruit, caramel. Bready flavors with caramel showing through. Medium carbonation. Meh.
2.6 Amber pour with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee. The flavor has some caramel, toffee and earth. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
2.8 12 oz. bottle labelled as Josephs Brau Vienna Lager. Pours a clear gold with a thin-moderate white head. The aroma is strong on lager yeast with a few notes of caramel and hay. The flavor is again dominated by lager yeast, although not quite as strongly as the aroma, with a bit of caramel sweetness. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied.
2.3 (12oz bottle, courtesy of Mora2000) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of grain, caramel, and biscuit. Flavor of caramel, toasted grain, earthiness, toffee, and golden raisins.
2.5 Labeled as Josephsbrau Vienna Style Lager. Bottle->SA. Copper with huge frothy offwhite head. Malt, corn, grass, spice. Not a fan.
2.3 Poured from a cold bottle. Clear golden color, light short lived white head, no lacing with soft carbonation. Yeast and musty aroma. Light fruity body, light watery butter flavor with a weak finish.
2.4 Very mild aroma of hops and yeast. Smooth mild flavor, great colour, palate has a hint of bread.
3.8 Some beers have me at hello. Like Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. I hate to drink it because it’s then not there to smell, and that’s where this brew grabbed me, by the nose. Maybe I’m not used to the style, but what 90 does with hops, this does with malt. Toasty sweet grassy grainy malt. As for the rest of the experience, nothing to fault. A bit sweet and sticky, but balanced well enough. Great for the price, like all TJ beer, probably not the pinnacle of its’ style, but plenty good.
2.7 Aroma: Heavy yeast aromas with hints of caramel. Appearance: Dark, clear amber with no head. Taste: Light sweetness with medium sourness in finish. Palate: Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, long finish. Overall: Much too yeasty. It balances in the finish, but barely.
3.3 Dark Clear Amber Color, Good Foamy Head, Lots Of Lacing. Faint Caramel Aroma. Sweet, Caramel, Malt, Light Bitter Finish. Medium Body. Not Too Shabby. Simple but Good.
2.3 Hmmm...well, this isn’t terrible, but it’s also not good. Very malty and slightly sweet with only a hint of hops. Hey, at least I can say I tried it.
