3.8Très bonne, a racheter !! Alcool peut présent,
Pas mal sucrée
3.7Couleur brune, mousse épaisse qui se dissipe rapidement. Forte carbonation. Levure très présente.
3.7Reddish brown, slightly hazy. With a generous slightly off white head.
Aroma: Yeasty. Also malts toast, tobacco a hint of caramel.
Aroma: Mostly sweet but also some fruity bitternes. Yeast is notable. Medium body.
3.6Bottle from Belgium?? Anyway, pretty non existent aroma. Lovely mahogany brown. The flavour is quite sweet with a dry ending. The fizz and feel of a classic Belgian brown. You really cant beat the Belgians sometimes. (31/8/21).
-----
Bottle from Belgium or system, who knows. Gentle, somewhat boozy aroma. Quite thin brown apperance. Really tasty though - chocolate and English brown ale notes, but with hops coming through. Easy ending with some booziness. Not mind blownigly profound but a lovely beer for sure that would be dangerous on the long run. 3.7 to 3.6.
3.80,33l bottle from local alko. Pours brown with beige foam. Yeast, kind of caramel notes, hint of dark fruits. Dryish, sweet and bitter all at the same time. Quite easy to drink and not overtly complex, liked it still.
3.933cl bottle from store in Bruxelles, drinking it on 25/07/2021 BB 30/03/2023 Pours full brown - amber with thin beige foam on top and great lacing. Aroma is quite fruited and rich of esters for a belgian dark ale. Also quite yeasty and notes of dried fruits and lightly nutty. Taste is warm and smooth, a bit woody with notes of roasted malt, yeast, dried fruits, toffee, licorice and plums, some caramel. Drinkable, but nice warmth from the high 8% abv. Medium to full body but kind of creamy yet really easy to sip, addicting taste. Medium carbonation, not too sweet or bitter taste. Really good, had some high expectations after the blond and this one fulfilled them, incredible trappist beers.
3.8Good solid drinkable beer
4.5Caramelised, pleasantly bitter
3.5Jäst. Karamell. Syra. Ngt vimla?
3.82018 bottle drunk 6/15/21.
Clear, ruddy, mahogany with a small, off-white head showing low retention.
Lovely minearl-like yeast notes are elegant showing none of the unwanted clove, intense pepper and with well-developed malts adding a mix of honey, vanilla and caramel. Moderate dark fruitiness on the end adds complexity and no alcohol or flaw is noted.
Malty in the mouth. Not sure if these are finely-filtered then bottled with yeast like many of the bigger Belgian trappist/abbey ales, but it doesn't seem like it as there's more malt depth/softer texture here. Prune-like acidity balances the honey-and-chocolate sweetness from the malts while an interesting array of esters and phenols develop (sans clove/banana/bubble gum). Fairly tight carbonation. Light alcohol warmth and a bit of bready-like oxidation, to be expected, on the finish.
3.5Aroma: Sweet malt with caramel and nuts.
Flavour: Malty and fruity sweet with caramel and nuts. Aftertaste is sweet with nuts.
Colour: Brown with an offwhite head.

4.0As expected a pleasant brown appearance and poured with no head.Excellent nutty flavour with a surprising and frightening lack of alcohol presence. A classy and understated beer. Also a new brewery for me.
3.8Brunatne nieprzezroczyste piwo z niezłą pianą. Piwo dość mocno wysycone. Aromat likieru, czekolady, bananów, przypraw i karmelu.
Aromas a caramelo, maltas tostadas, frutas maduras. En boca frutas rojas, caramelo, fruta madura, levadura. Alcohol perfectamente integrado. Buena dubbel.
3.7This is a backlog rating from 2008 from a bottle, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are dark fruit, yeast, sweet malts, light oak.
4.3Intense sour/sweet/fruity aroma. Clear reddish brown with a very long lasting tanned head. Medium sweet, light sour taste with a slightly dry touch. Medium body, creamy texture & soft carbonation
3.8Bottle, 33 cl, bought at SB. Pleasant Trappist: dry, clean, smooth sweetness. ABV well tuned.
4.0Good!
3.0[Butelka 7.12.2019, kapsel złoty golas] Barwa brunatna, nieklarowne.
Lätt beska smyger in på slutet. Fantastisk dubbel, en av de bästa.
3.8Pours dark brown with a lasting creamy, light beige head. Nose on Scotch, licorice, milk chocolate, a little banana. Velvety, creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation, caramel, roasted malts. Complex, reminds me a bit of Rochefort 8
Torr avslutning.
4.30.33l bottle from Csakajósör. Dark brown body with some red component. Pillowy beige head, long lasting. Fruity fresh aroma, bit sour as well. Later honey and caramel comes forward. Taste is complex, Sweet caramel and nuts, balanced by a moderately sour, fruity (raisins, maybe some berries) taste. Moderately sweet aftertaste. Mid-strong carbonation, creamy palate, surprisingly light for this alcohol content. Nice, very harmonic Belgian beer with a lot of complexity.
4.004-12-20 // 330ml bottle. Drinking trappists is always a joy. Rich malty, a higher carbonation. Drier finish.
3.9Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be.
Pours a dark chestnut brown colour with a large thick creamy off-white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel and a little candied sugar. Taste has more dry dark fruits, caramel, a little sweetness and a lot of peppery spice. Very well balanced. Medium body with a lively fizzy palate and a slightly oily mouthfeel. Very nice Bruin.
4.033cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful dark reddish, with fine cream foam. Aroma is intense, malty, caramel, chestnuts. Body is slightly dense, with quite a carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, but a little balancing bitterness. Final is fairly short, thin.
