Trappistes Rochefort 6

Trappistes Rochefort 6

Bottle: Unfiltered
This beer, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

3.7 Taste and aroma of malt, hops and yeast. A little bitter. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook and Instagram for more pictures and ratings.
4.0 Aroma: caramel, pear, dark fruit, nice earthy note, some floral fragrance. Appearance: hazy amber-brown color with a two-fingered beige head. Taste: caramel, pear, dark fruit, earthy note, medium-high sweetness, medium bitterness. Palate: medium body, medium-high carbonation, easy to drink considering its appearance. Overall: Rich in flavor yet easy to drink. The earthy note is obvious and tempting.
3.6 33cl Bottle @ LaBIRRAtorium, Madrid, Spain. Dark amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, yeast. Taste is malt, sweet, yeast, slightly herbal. Medium body, average carbonation.
4.4 Amber darkish pour with a white, firm head. Aromas of malt, fruit/red berries, bread. Well rounded tase with fruit, malt, dark chocolate. A long, pleasant aftertaste - very enjoyable, goes well with desserts.
4.1 Pours a cloudy, dark amber coloration with a medium, frothy head and some floaters on final pour. Smells of bready, caramel malt, toffee and fruity/spicy esters, with notes of apricot and clove. Taste is an excellent balance of bready, caramel malt, toffee, fruity and quite spice esters, with notes of apricot and clove, as well as some subtle, floral and bitter hoppy accents, with just a hint of orange rind coming through as well. Finishes bittersweet, with a light bitterness and some toffee and esters lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and medium carbonation. This actually reminds me a lot of their Triple Extra, or perhaps that should be the other way around. The general flavor profile is rather similar, with this being a bit less rich and sweet, but still feeling quite satisfying. It does feel like a bit of a cross between a Dubbel and a Tripel overall though, being a bit lighter in color and more toffee-forward than your average Dubbel, while the flavor profile seems a bit closer to a Tripel than a Dubbel in general. Still, this makes for a very enjoyable brew in its own way, that's quite rich and satisfying, with a great balance of sweet, estery and slightly bitter notes.
No taka okejka.
3.5 Light brownish color, and white with brown touch in head. Medium head, good retention. Honey, caramel, yeasty. Bit too light, obviously after 8 or 10. Hint of alcohol. Light to medium body and carbonation. Nice finish.
3.8 Brownish orange pale pour with a soft off white head and bands of lacing …. Aroma of fruits, earthy, tea, belgian candi sugar, caramel malts and roasted malts …. Taste is of fruits, candi sugar, earthy, tea and a light spice to it …... Body is medium …. Mouthfeel is soft, smooth and creamy…. Finish is spicy with earthy notes, fruity with candi sugar and tea ….. easy drinking and mouthfeel is perfect
3.8 Bottle of 33cl, in a Trappist glass; from the fridge. Drinked @home. We are in front of a copper beer, with a nice white head. Good carbonation. Aroma and first taste are yeasty, slightly malty. Good Trappist beer.
3.8 Kola och banan toner
3.8 Poured from 330mL bottle. Cloudy bronze orange with small beige head. Dark fruit, caramel, floral, feint sour note. Quite nice.
Nasycenie spore.. Zapach: owocowy, estrowy, trochę pieprzowości, słodowy. Smak: Słodkawy, lekko karmelowy, owocowy, przyprawowy, goryczka lekka. Cena ok. 15,0 zł/butelka 330 ml
5.0 Simply awesome. Bronze ish color, Thick foamy head that lasts. Very malty aroma. Brisk energetic mouthfeel. High carbonation. Bold but smooth flavor. Good qualities last as beer sits in the glass.
4.6 Smooth, malty, creamy taste. Awesome to pair with spicy foods to balance out. Pricey but worth a try.
3.6 Piwo barwy bursztynowej, zamglone. Pokryte obfitą czapą piany w kolorze złamanej bieli, zbudowanej głównie z drobnych i średnich oczek.
3.8 11.2 oz bottle. Smell is of cloves, banana, lemon zest, slight caramel. Brown in color with a hint of red, cascades of carbonation rise to the surface. Tastes sweet. Getting hints of banana, toffee, coffee and a bit of fruit, fig perhaps? Semi sweet finish with lingering banana and toffee notes. Quite nice!
3.9 Amber brown appearance with a fluffy light tan head. Aroma of toasted malt, rustic yeast, mild caramel and light herbal/floral notes. Similar taste, malty, rustic and semi-sweet with a light spicy bitterness. Medium body with a soft mouthfeel and a smooth finish. Well done.
3.3 330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Murky looking brown-amber, brief fizzy head which only lasted two seconds. Mmmmm...is something up with this beer? Aroma is very subdued for a Belgium ale but with caramel malts, spice and some fruitness notable. Not looking hopeful. Medium bodied, slight stickiness and a high carbonation. Taste is good with sweet malts, caramel, nuts, pear, yeast, tea, some alcohol warmth on the way down. Still even here I feel the flavours maybe subdued considering the reviews below. I stored the beer well and it has an expiry date of 2025 so who knows, I can only review what's in front of me!
4.5 Slight caramel taste but still refreshingly bitter
3.9 Slightly hazy amber with a good and lasting off-white head. Aroma: Malt: Bread and a lot of caramel. Hops not pronounced but a hint of orange. Mouth: Sweet. Not a lot of bitterness but some fresh fruitiness to keep the sweetness in check. Soft and very pleasant. Medium body.
3.7 330 ml bottle from an online store. Pours an enticing hazy maple colour with a rapidly disappearing yellow head. Aroma of a ton of banana esters, together with some molasses, alcohol, prunes, strawberry and creaminess. Taste of some esters, caramel and a fair bit of bitterness to balance out the sweetness of the malt. Medium to high sweetness here. Heavy mouthfeel and medium carbonation with a tinge of alcoholic taste. Definitely a really good for money beer.
4.0 Bottle, I forget from where. Dark gold, massive airy head that really sticks around and looks fantastic. Spicy herbal nose, hints of orange peel, yeast notes. Flavor has complex brown sugar, fat yeast overtones, smooth rounded malty bread notes. Mouthfeel is full and the carbonation is magically effervescent. Great one, monks.
4.0 330 mL bottle. Reddish brown. Big khaki head. Smells of fruity yeast notes, bread, and light spice. Tastes quite fruity. Banana, lightly spicy notes, and dark fruits. Breast malt. Fruity yeasty finish. Medium body and pretty high carbonation. Delicious and dangerously drinkable.
Aroma a malta, caramelo y levadura.
3.3 Bottle from Edeka Rindermarkthalle - hazy deep amber/reddish color, white head. Yeasty, malty, some red malts. Medium boozy, some sweetness. Okay.
