Tree House Doppelganger

Tree House Doppelganger

This beer is an imperial version of Alter Ego. It is intensely kettle and dry hopped to produce a pungent and flavorful Double IPA that is super pleasant to drink. It is simply and easily described as a juicy and dank citrus bomb.

4.3 Can HUGE thanks to John M. Pours deep yellow orange, white head. Pungent peach, dank mango, ripe fruits, resinous pine. Awesome dank guy.

3.6 Hazy yellow body with small white head. Tropical fruits aroma, herbal kick, mild hoppy touch. Taste is dank, tropical fruits. Herbal finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth texture
4.3 Poured from can, thick foamy head that keeps pillowy and degrades at different rates forming peaks and valleys. It is really not pungent as advertised, but citrus is present. Tastes fresh, restrained and extremely drinkable for its alcohol content. Pineapple, grapefruit, kiwi and juicy fruits.
4.0 Can. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop balanced aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy earthy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This standout beer exceeded my expectations.

4.0 Can shared by alexsdad06 pour hazy dark gold with large white head. Nose big resin, grass, citrus peel, light dank. Lots of hops on nose. Taste moderate bitter up front, grassy, resin, green flavors. Not as tropical fruit as most NEPA.
3.9 Such a delicate feel for an ipa! Smells fantastic. Aroma is robust with hops. This is a terrific ipa!
4.0 16oz can enjoyed at our last Lake Dennison camping trip that turned out to be a weekend of Tree House madness. Jeff and I both showed up with huge coolers of Tree House selections and we did our best to get through all of them. Every single one was top notch, impossible to pick a favorite, can't go wrong with any of them.
3.8 On the hoppier side for NE style. It’s pretty good, but not the best.
3.9 Pint can, thanks to mansquito. Pours hazy orange. Orange juice, mango, papaya, pineapple, touch herbal, little toffee. Good body. Taste is a little thinner than the nose promises. Still very good.
3.4 Aroma is a hint of white pepper, with mineral notes and a bit of funkiness. Pours a hazy gold without much of a head. A dry mouth feel with a mineral taste and slightly chalky finish.
3.6 Can from Chris: pours lightly hazy with white head. Aroma is tropical fruitiness generally, some piny notes, some onionish hints. Taste is moderately sweet, especially toward the end and finish. Fruit flavor is good but a little underwhelming. Some light bitterness. I was not impressed.
4.3 16oz can. Poured cloudy golden color with an averaged sized head. Citrus, pine, dank and a lighter juiciness.
3.7 Can sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Yellow-orange with white head. The aroma has notes of orange juice, pine, some onion, a bit "green", dank. The flavor is mild sweet and mild bitter with notes of orange juice, pine, a bit "green", onion, some alcohol. Slightly dry, medium-bodied.
3.7 Can at a tasting. Cloudy golden, stable creamy head. Very fruity aroma, lots of hops, piney undertones. Sweetish, flavors of citrus, resinous, fruity hops, bitter finish. Smooth and easy to drink. Very nice.
Lite mer utav granskott än i doften. Bra tryck i, härligt punchy. Tuggig, kletig humlejuice storlek större utan att bli för mycket. Fantastiskt gott!
3.2 Taste from a can. Pours a pale, straw color, with a small, white head. The nose is pine, syrup, some floral hops and perfume. A little sweet and sugary, with an astringent bitterness. Hard mouthfeel. Probably too old...
4.0 Can. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma was dank with citrus, mango and pineapple. Flavor was juicy and hoppy with tropical fruit, pine, citrus, mango, pineapple and light grapefruit. Excellent drinkability.
3.6 Can @ Malt & Mold sampling. Pours hazy bright orange with small frothy white head, faint citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter lemon peel taste, thin body, long lemon peel finish. Tasty

4.5 Pours a murky deep golden color with a thick white head. Aroma is of hops, grain, earthiness, and citrus. Heavier palate. Flavor is of super fresh hops, citrus, grass, weed, earthiness, and grains. Leaves nice lacing. Finish leaves a fresh citrusy hop finish. Great stuff!!!!

4.4 Aroma: peaches, pineapple, tangerine, mandarin, mango and papaya. Color is reminiscent of pineapple juice and the head is white and soapy. Taste: peaches, pineapple, tangerine, mandarin and papaya. A nice hop burn in the finish.
5.0 Another very excellent and easy drinking beer. Even for those that don’t like IPAs generally.., they’ll love this beer.
4.0 This is a strong, dry, green IIPA. It offers a lot of peppery tingle on the palate and pleasant floral notes in the nostrils. The pour is classic NE style - tan and cloudy with a fluffy head. Another winner from a brewery that has to make no effort at all to sell their beer.
3.8 Pours a super hazy orange juice color with a fluffy off-white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of juciy, citrus hops, with a touch of peppery notes on the back end, and a wheat sweetness. Taste follows, citrus and pepper hop notes over a touch of sweet malt and light booze. Soft mouth, minimal bitterness, nicely done.
3.3 Pours opaque apricot with minimal head. Aroma offers dank, pine hops.plus tangy citrus. Flavor presents woody hops, tangy citrus, fresh hops, a woody undernote. Texture offers fair body and peppy fizz.
