Trignac XII

Trignac XII

Kasteel Tripel aged in Cognac casks.

Thrill to that full, rounded taste, that delicate touch of cognac and the smooth, bitter aftertaste of this unique gourmet beer. Trignac is a real collector’s item.
Only a limited edition of Trignac is brewed.

Retrogusto a taninos, astringente y suavemente amargo, poco duradero.
2.5 Bottle sample at a tasting. Clear pale golden with bubbly white head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, yeasts, soapy, some fruitiness. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, yeasts, esters, soapy. Full-bodied.
2.6 Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Clear golden, white head. Fruity esters, some wood, alcohol, sweet, kinda boozy.
2.8 Bottle at a tasting. Clear golden, huge head. Fruity esters, earthy, soapy, spicy. Sweet, fruity, honey, floral, fruity esters, herbs, harsh alcohol flavors. Medium-bodied, fizzy. Disappointing.
3.6 75cl Bottle @ La tienda de la Cerveza, Madrid, Spain. Amber colour with a medium size white head. Aroma is malt, sweet, yeast, vanilla, hints of cognac. Taste follows the aroma. Medium body, average carbonation.
4.7 I waited to drink this one specifically today after supper. Brought it with us to watch the play in the theatre, just fantastic!
3.8 Colore arancio oro, schiuma media poco persitente, opalescente. Aromi di malto, vaniglia, crosta di pane, botte. Al palato vaniglia, cognac, sentori fruttati e vinosi, legno. Gusto mediamente dolce.
3.5 2015 vintage. Light orange pour, bit cloudy and not too much foam on the top there. Sweet and candy spice nose, somewhat estery. Tastes herbal sweet, candy sweetness, pleasant freshness there actually.
3.1 Amber golden color. Very smooth, nothing special at all. Very boring for the style and why bother
4.6 75 cl. bottle that comes in a carboard box. Bouth at La Tienda de la Cerveza, tasted at home in a Kasteel glass. Pours a clear amber colour, medium head that fades soon, small lacing. Aroma of vanilla, sugar, bananas, apples, dates. Wood and cognac are no too present but they are noticeable. Medium body, creamy, but a bit thin texture. Good carbonation.Finish but liquorous finish. Taste of vanilla, dates, apples, banana, and some cognac. Alcohol is well hidden. Complex, rich and subtle beer.
3.8 Amber color. medium sized , white head. Wood, baked apples , vanilla and yeast in the aroma. Rather unusual taste with moderate sweetness. Interesting beer.
2.1 Aroma: Medium rich, bready, over-ripe banana, vanilla, Medium-light pear. Appearance: Clear, with small floaters. Medium white head. Small bubbles, good retention. Flavour: Medium-high banana. Medium pear, bready, alcohol. Medium bitterness. Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium warming. Medium-high carbonation. Overall: Alcohol and banana is over powering. 750 ml bottle, poured, shared.
3.7 2017 version - Beer and cognac casks, very nice combo. - a bit over carbonated, sweet, boozy - i would give it more if it wasn't overpriced.
3.8 Fruitig en cognac aroma aanwezig. Sterk in alcohol.
4.0 From cervezaaespeciales. In Kasteel glass. Shared with Carlos. Nice tripel flavors, with light wood and cognac notes. Smooth, with abv well hidden but affecting head. Share required
Super!
3.8 Fles 75cl thuis. Cognac, alcohol, warm, wat zoeten. Weinig bier, meer cognac. (4-2015).
3.3 THT May - Kermis Leaving. Shared from bottle. Golden with white head. Sweet malts. Big booze and cardboard. I bet they didn’t tell you when they sold it. Big sweet and light bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation.
3.4 7 3 7 3 14 Bottle shared at THT May (My leaving The Hague edition). Near clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, herbs, yeast and citrus. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
3.3 Bottle shared at Kermis’ last THT. Slight hazy light golden with big fluffy white head. Spicy yeast, cloves, light malts, apple, soft barrel notes with vanilla, light pear, some more yeast, alcohol. Over medium sweet and boozy bitter. Over medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. OK.
3.8 Bottle shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of malt, maple, booze and fruit. Malt and funk flavor with apple accents and slight booziness before a dry grape finish.
3.8 2015 750ml bottle (2475/7300) a Christmas present from my daughter. Nose is cognac, vanilla, yeast, candi sugar, and a grassy hoppiness. Lightly hazy yellow amber with a big, heavy lacing, yellow beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, with a hint of musty funk. Really good
3.7 750ml Bottle from 2012. Cloudy golden colored beer with a small white cup. Tastes (some) cognac, wood, spicy (yeast), vanilla, malty, and some fruitiness.
3.9 750 ml bottle thanks to Steve. Pours a mostly clear golden color with a medium white head. A big sweet yeasty nose. Sweet cognac, fluffy palate, banana esters, toffee. Very good.
