Trillium Melcher Street IPA - Double Dry Hopped

Trillium Melcher Street IPA - Double Dry Hopped

The spicy, resinous, herbal aroma bursts with nuances of tart citrus, tangerine, clementine, and subtle green onion. 3.8 Deep yellow-orange pour. White head. The aroma is great. Lots of pineapple and tropical fruit. Pale malt, lightly sweet with a honey flavour on the back. Orange juice, pineapple and light lime. Pretty tasty.
4.5 I like good beer. This beer is tasty. I don’t want to say the same things everyone else says so I’ll say this is a world class beer for me personally.
4.0 Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is cloudy light yellow-light brown with no discernible sparkle, ring of off-white head with good retention and mild lacing. Aroma is herbal, grapefruit, pine. Taste is as aroma. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste with mild astringency. Overall, delicious strong aroma and flavor with minor flaws here and there.
4.1 16oz can via trade from MA. Cloudy orange with an off white head that fades away completely. Tons of fresh juicy tropical, citrus, peach. Soft carb, medium body. Juicy, very bitter finish. Delicious.
3.7 Draught @ Trillium Fort Point (10 May 19). Extremely hazy orange-yellow with very small frothy whitish head, light apricot-citrus flavor, low carbonation, mildly bitter orange-pineapple-apricot taste, smooth somewhat thick body, long finish. Delicious.

3.9 1 pint can, canned 07/30/18. Shared by Werckmeister, many thanks! Dark orange, juicy body, with a small, yellowish head. Aroma of dankness, earth, grass, pine, juicy apricot, lychee, tropical fruits. Tastes quite similar, with more juicy fruits, some honey and vanilla. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes medium dry, moderate bitter, tangy, piney, moderate dank, a bit sweet, with juicy tropical fruits. Very nice. More on the heavy side, with a quite broad malt body. Still with lots of juicy fruits and also some tangy, piney and earthy notes. Not among my favourite NE IPAs, while still quaffable stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 15

Canned 07/30/2018. dark orange murky color, small white head. smells earthy, citric, grassy, peppery, dank. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, earthy, spices, peppery, bit leathery, rather dank, light mango, lychee, light alcohol, light old hops. finishes dry and medium bitter with notes of earth, citrus and some spices. Nice one but expected almost a bit more, rather heavy, even a bit boozy. Still quite drinkable though.

4.1 473 ml can from Sander - many thanks! - at home. Canned 30.7.2018. Pours a murky light orange with a white head. The aroma is pretty hoppy with peach, pineapple, resin, pine, mango along with a light dankness, onion, grass. Medium to medium-full body with a soft carbonation with a light to light-medium sweetness and a light to medium bitterness. The flavor starts with fruity hops - peach, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, some mango - followed by distinct resinous, piney notes and some biscuity malt, some dankness. Finishes rather dry with a lasting light to medium hoppy bitterness. Really good - really hop forward with pretty much resinous notes along with juicy ripe stone fruits and citric fruits. 4.0 Big thanks to Noah Haber for hooking me up with this. Murky mango golden orange pour with two fingers white head. Nose is dripping with grapefruit and tropical juice, earthy dank allium notes float around in a mix of spicy citrus rind and subtle pine resin. Boss.... Medium bodied and moderately bitter, very much so citrus juice with just a touch of zesty rind. Green hoppy dank notes as well. Very nice moderate carbonation and long long lasting hop character. Wonderful.

3.9 4/21/2018 (16 fl oz can): Fresh, hoppy aroma of guava and ctirus; pale, cloudy gold/yellow color with a puffy off-white head; nice pine-resin, citrus, watery pineapple with a splash of mango, caramel malt, some residual sweetness, the dry hopping isn't over the top or like eating raw hop pellets; medium-light to medium body; very good, finally something that isn't the usual NEIPA as this has a bit more West Coast hop flair to it.
