5.0 Happy High on this brew! Tripel with honey Graham undertones baked in Lotus Biscoff dripping with creamy nutmeg.😋😋😋😋😋 Quaff it to believe.
3.6 Not sure how i haven't rated this one, but recently had a bottle care of Barry at lemon hill. Notes are classic tripel notes with boat loads of banana, clove, spice, fruity esters, and sweet malt. Color is orange with a full head.
3.8 Appearance is amber, clear, a 2-finger rocky white head. Aroma is spices, wheaty malt, bit of caramel, some honey. Taste is fluffy malt, toffee, caramel sweetness, Belgian yeast, spicy hints, bit of booze but it’s pretty well-hidden. Full and rich mouthfeel.
3.9 Bottle from Beer Gonzo and day 16 of my 2020 advent calendar. Lightly hazed golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma and taste sweet malty, dried fruit and yeasty.
4.0 This is a very nice triple and you won't be disappointed but there are better examples out there. I bought the 1.5l bottle. I find the beer more bitter and dry than sweet.
4.0 Hazy amber yellow color with a modest head. The smell is quite subtle yet warming. Yellow fruits with a hint of wine (red fruits). The taste is quite firm. The wine flavors become more pronounced. Warming, alcoholic, bready malty, full. Good body. Quite a rich, complex but balanced tripel.
3.6 Draught at Bootleggers Clear golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hay, citrus and spices with notes of dried fruits. Fruity flavour of hay and citrus with notes of hops and alcohol. Fruity and warming alcoholic finish.
3.8 Pours a clear golden with thick white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste. Defined candy sugar and Belgian yeast flavor with a characteristic spiced note. Notes: on tap at Pub, first when lived in Belgium in ‘10, finally rated when I returned in Jun ‘20
3.5 Tap @Luppolo Station (Rome-Italy). Great pour, golden bright a bit orangey with a tick medium cap. Nose: esters, yeast, banana-clove hints, spices. Mouthfeel: alcohol is a bit over the top, pretty sweet malty with a light spiciness.
3.4 on tap oro quasi limpida buona schiuma buona persistenza piacevole speziato esteri leggera frutta sciroppata non molto corpo per i gradi etilico nel finale amaro medio
4.9 Impresionante!!!
3.7 On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Ambrata viva, un filo torbida, schiuma bianca media, molto persistente. Al naso esteri, frutta gialla, frutta sotto spirito, leggera speziatura. In bocca è dolce all'attacco con chiusura amara, etilica. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Più Belgian Strong Ale che non Tripel.
4.4 From tap @ Staminee de Garre in Brugge. A great chunk of beer. Light white lively head over a golden hued body. Heavily malted with glacé fruits and honey and a hint of spice. Not overpowering at all. To me, this is Bruges in a beer glass. A must for every beer lover visiting Bruges.
4.1 양재 beercoop.
3.9 From tap @ Staminee de Garre in Brugge (visited 30/11/2019). F: huge, white, extremely long lasting. C: deep gold, light hazy. A: rich malty, mellow fruity, honey, spicy, orange peels, banana, bit yeasty, quite nice. T: very sweet malty, spicy, yeasty, honey, banana, not as sweet as I expected, good balanced harmonic bitterness, bit straightforward yet tasty and location makes this almost great, soft carbonation, fully enjoyed.
4.9 Had in Bruges , probably helped by the ambience of the place but so easy to drink and for the strength too. So far my most memorable beer
4.2 Draft at Jessops. Lightly cloudy golden, huge rocky head. Buttery, grainy, yeasty aroma. Full mouthfeel, smooth. Sweet, savory, buttery notes. Truly wonderful.
3.0 Dark golden colour, frothy head with beautiful lacing. Aroma is alcohol, some apricot. Light sweetness. Too alcoholic.
3.9 Dark golden pour, frothy white head. This beer tastes so much like Brugges to me. Nose is yeast, pepper, clove and some woody booze. Spice comes through as expected, some apple and white grape peel. Embodies the region well.
4.3 Triple sucrée et contrairement à la triple karmeliett nous n'avons pas cet effet amer en fin de bouche ! Très appréciable.
3.7 Quite good. Not so spiced and quite strong in alcohol leves but still respectable as a Belgian tripple. Nice foam and cool shape.
4.2 Tap from the bar in Bruges. Pure gold colour and a shimmering sparkling white head, looks magical! Aroma of raisins, raw sugar cane, and a touch of honey. Taste is tingly spicy with alcohol and bitter sweet. Full bodied, but possibly a little thinner thanni was expecting. Very good
3.4 22 December 2018. De Garre, Bruges. Cheers to Madoc! Finally rated the house beer of De Garre, located in 'de Garre van Kornee', one of the narrowest alleys in my hometown, after I discovered I still hadn't yet. Pours clear golden to orange with a big, lasting, frothy, white head; lots of lacing. Looks dashing. Aroma of white pepper, white bread, yeast, yellow apple, canned peach, pineapple, some white cabbage (but not overly DMS-like to me). Taste is medium fruity sweet, hints of pineapple & peach on a malty white bread basis, rendering a yeasty effect too. Light to medium spicy bitter then, white pepper, faint clove, somewhat phenolic & typically Van Steenberge in that aspect; sourish lemon or wheat in the back. Dry, peppery & grassy hoppy finish, lingering yeast, bread, phenolic again, finally some warming jenever alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Good stuff but not very sophisticated; surprised to see it's in the top 50 of Abbey Tripels... Probably says more about the style, then?
3.6 Tap at De Garre, Bruges. Orange-golden. Loads of head. Sweet and creamy taste. Notes of lemon, herbs and caramel. Very drinkable. Really good tripel.
4.5 Bloody lovely
4.2 Tripel perfettamente bilanciata, dolciastro sempre più acutizzato fino al retrogusto, in cui spicca l'alcol comunque meno percepito rispetto alla sua reale portata.
3.8 Huge white fluffy head on a translucent golden body. Banana & spice aroma. Medium bodied, super smooth on the palate. Banana, Belgian yeast, spices & vanilla tastes with a strong alcohol presence on the back.
3.7 on weekend with parents in-laws from tap in staminee the garre gold blond colored body with a large white head and with a yeast vanilla fruity malt hop aroma a malt hop vanilla sweet creamy fruity alcholic bitter taste with an alcholic bitter finish
