4.0 Really delicious! Had on tap at a Troeg’s tap takeover at Liberty Craft House. I tried it alongside Golden Thing. Both were solid IPAs - this one a little less aggressive and more balanced. I like it!
4.1 A very impressive white IPA, good in summer Twelve ounce can. Hazy yellow in color, great aroma. This is probably one of the three best beers that Troegs makes.
3.7 On tap at The Presidents Sports Bar (Rennaisance Hotel), Washington DC on 14-Mar-2018. Clear pale amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma of malt, citrus and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Taste of sweet malt, caramel, orange, mango and floral hops. Medium bitterness. Lots of juicy tropical fruit and decent hop profile - sweetish fruity finish.
3.0 Can @ Grotta Azzurra, NYC. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aromas of perfume, citrus and pine. Flavours of perfume, nectarine, citrus, herbs and grass. Sticky texture.
4.3 Pours light golden and hazy with a one-finger white head and an aroma of citrus. Tastes of orange, citrus and some pine with mild to moderate bitterness. It’s slightly sweet and medium bodied with minimal to moderate carbonation. Sweet orange and pine!
3.4 It smells great and it looks perfect for an ipa. The flavor is a bit bland and has a sour after taste. I like troggs, but they have some much better beer out there.
3.5 drank out of bottle. malty nose, fair hops that come forward now in the mouth. pretty well balanced with resinous finish. nicely done ipa
4.0 Glowing golden with a bright white head. Very pretty beer. Hoppy IPA with plenty of resin, pine and citrus. Medium body. IFNish has a decent mid-range bitterness. A very nice IPA.
4.6 Hazy yellow pour with minimal head. Aromas of pine, hops and citrus fruit. Taste is light, but flavorful; citrus with a little pine and grapefruit. Goes down easy and is delicious. Very nicely done winter IPA. Will definitely be enjoying a few of these.
3.7 2017. Interesting and effervescent. Nose had more malt than I would have expected, but thankfully little was evident in the taste. Solid and unique IPA
2.7 Pours a hazy light amber from a tap. Dank pine and pot aroma is nice, light citrus in the background. Flavor is a citrus pine mix, but not terribly interesting. Watery and thin. Okay beer.
3.6 Hazy IPA with nice hop and floral notes. A little tamer compared to some other New England brews.
3.6 Nice wintery IPA. Seems like it was very piney, citrusy, fruity, and had some sort of spice. Medium bodied. Enjoyable.
1.6 Aroma:1.cheese like 2.a bit of ester in the nose. 3 small amount of hops detected in the nose but does not linger especially for a Specialty IPA Appearance: Golden true to style Flavor: a touch of banana but still a small bit of hop bitterness does seem to creep out which dissipates fast. Mouthfeel: light to touch of medium body with a silky texture. Overall Impression: Is this an American Bitter if there was a style for this? This years 2017 Winter IPA not what i expected. 80 ibu's is what is listed.Really?.Still a drinkable beer but no Hop Backbone in the backround. I will not buy this years again. golden, hazy, cloudy, hazy, rocky head, frothy, light sweetness, lightly bitter, salty, light body, creamy, average carbonation, astringent,
3.2 Pours a hazy dark yellow with a foamy white head. Crisp aroma of dank hops. Full mouth feel with a light bitterness. Fairly smooth finish with a lingering hoppy taste. Not as good as I expected but not bad.
4.0 Here is a very nice Troegs beer that I remember as only OK from last year. The aroma is apricots and a bit of dry hoppiness. The appearance is very cloudy and mysterious, much like a so called NE or VT IPA. The taste is a delectable torrent of tangy transcendence with a pungent pouncing of plum peel and happy hops. It is extremely dangerously drinkable and one I will buy again while it is still in season. Good for maybe finally actually watching 300: Rise of an Empire after several false starts and disco cuddles with boo boo.
3.7 Dark yellow with a well maintained white head. Not much to the nose (is there but nothing to write home about) but the taste and mouth feel is quintessential IPA.
3.2 Above average IPA. Bitterness and aftertaste not bad compared to other some others. Doesnt taste like 80IBU. Decent ABV at 6.4%. Would possibly drink again.
(Rating #7477)
3.7 Can. Hazy milky yellow with an average white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, bread, hay, and grains. Taste is grapefruit, orange, grains, lemon peel, and juicy summer fruit. Juicy overall and semi dry.
3.9 Sweet citrus grain aroma. Hazy yellow body Grainy citrusy grain dry taste.Enjoyable and drinkable.
3.7 Very cloudy yellow with small white head. Aroma citrus and hay. Medium-light body. Minor carbonation. Hoppy lightly bitter flavor, mostly orange/citrus with some spice and grass. Pretty nice.
3.8 From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with an expiration date of 04/18/17. It is an amber-orange tone with a moderate off-white head and lacing. The aroma has a distinctive fruity, citrus, and orange zest to it with a more muted white bread graininess behind it. The body is medium and tangy. The taste also has a vibrant orange and fruity flavor with an invasive bitter bite at the finish. Lingers some.
4.1 Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow-orange with greenish tinge, no sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is strong grapefruit and pine with milder citrus, tropical fruit, resin. Taste is tropical fruit, grapefruit; bitter resin stronger than in aroma; late pine. Palate is medium bodied with slick texture, soft-to-average carbonation with mix of piney, grapefruit and resinous finish. Overall, a lot of complexity in the aroma and taste. Nice.
3.5 A hazed blonde ipa with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, mandarine pulp, tropical fruit, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, pink grapefruit, light mineral notes, nice and smooth. On tap at Flashback Lounge.
3.0 Bottle. Pours a golden hazy yellow with a quickly disappearing head. Lightly hoppy and pleasant on the nose with notes of malt, nuts, cream and perhaps clove. There’s a spiciness I can’t quite place. The palate is a bit coarse and short, with a mildly bitter but smooth finish. Not the nicest Troegs I’ve had.
3.8 Another fine beer from Troegs. A rock solid beer I would drink year round if available.
3.5 Bottle. Hazy bright yellow with foamy whitish head, citrus peel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter citrusy taste with mango, smooth body, longish medium bitter finish. Tasty and flavorful.
3.9 Draft offering near hershey pa source, so must be super fresh, great hazy orange color reminiscent of dipa, aroma is dank hops with some weed, wintergreen action abound, taste is smooth full of that nice refined hop dankness, this is a nice session type ipa that is tasting good in the brisk temps
3.3 Tan bodied, ok head, decent carbonation. Mild pine and citrus hop aroma and body. Minimal malt backbone. A simple, straightforward beer that drinks like a session IPA
