4.0 Clear gold color. Poured with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma of resinous pine. Moderately bitter.
3.5 12oz bottle at home - pours golden with medium white head - smells of hops and medium-low citrus - medium hops on the tongue and pallet
3.7 This is a backlog rating from 2011 from a bottle shared by Tmoney99, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time. Words to describe this beer are citrus, resin, earthy, grassy.
3.8 Draught. The beer has got a hazy golden color with a small steady head and smooth body. Aroma of hops and herbs. Taste of hops, herbs, pine and oranges. Smooth finish.
4.0 Nice light color, a nice e IPA scent. A good IPA taste without any aftertaste, nice to have any day
4.3 At first I thought it was just another IPA but as I took another few pulls I found myself liking it more and more. I also had with a burger and fries and it paired beautifully. Very pleased with the taste and hoppyness basic
4.0 Can into tulip glass. Amber with decent head and carbonation. Aroma has surprisingly strong malt notes with balanced spruce hop notes. Taste is similarly well balanced which is also a surprise. Some biscuit malt notes in there and not too crazy on the hop bitterness. I am not a huge IPA fan but this is decent for the style.
3.5 Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Nice hoppy flowery aroma. Starts hoppy and quite dry, bitter background. Fruity notes of grapefruit, some lemon. Finish less fruity, still dry with bitter aftertaste. Not bad.
4.7 Light color, citrus hops. Perfect session beer
3.8 Many thanks to Peter for this bottle. Fresh intense sticky nose. Lots of pine and resin, sticky with a nice dry bitter ending. Deep and refreshing, intense sticky floral, great.
3.7 12 fl.oz bottle shared with Erzengel. A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of bitter citrusy hops, pine, spruce. Taste of intense bitter hops, pine, citrus, some grapefruits, long bitter finish.
4.4 Draft. Very tasty, well balanced IPA. Robust hoppy aroma and flavor, but not too strong or astringent. Definite floral flavor. Appropriately bitter finish.
3.8 so so
3.5 November 8, 2018 - bottle from the hotel bar. Golden orange pour with nice amount of head. Nicely balanced with the malt and hops in aroma and taste.
3.5 Pours amber with a fluffy white head. Decent carbonation. Aroma of pine and hops. Taste is elegant, includes bitter citrus and resin. Palate includes a variety of hops on the nose. Good beer, hides the ABV well.
3.8 Bottle from Village Beer Merchant. Clear golden. Malty, grainy, caramel, pine and citrus. Fairly bitter, med bodied. Straightforward, good stuff.
4.0 Very strong powerful hops with lots of fruits and some mild bitter finish. Very refreshing. Very well put together. Carbonation is not too strong. Very drinkable beer. Well done!
4.1 Bottle - Pours a clear golden with a nice head. Resin and sweet citrus aromas. Full malt body with a lot going on, some sweet, juicy notes with bitterness in the finish. Great beer.
3.7 Clean golden color, small white head. Aroma of citrusy and grassy hops, caramel, malt, tropical fruits. Sweet dry taste with hoppy bitter taste in finish and aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice IPA, very drinkable.
3.8 Pours a deep golden with white head. Aroma is bready with strong citrus. Taste odds pineapple and pine. Love it.
3.7 First sample from Troegs. Has a clear golden to light orange appearance with a thinish white head. Leans towards west coast for the style, but has some tropical notes. A good amount of citrus and bitter notes. Light caramel malt. A solid easy drinking IPA.
3.4 16 ounce pint at Winking Lizard Macedonia Ohio. Draft. Medium white head, some film on glass. Smell some hops, but not overly aromatic. Mellow on the palate with some sweet hop after bite. Above average for the style. Cheers!
4.4 I only have a handful of favorite IPA's and in my opinion this one won't let you down. Smooth with plenty of hops, pine, and limited fruit characteristics with an even malty presence in the background. Very nicely balanced which sets it apart from some others that have rubbed me the wrong way. I will come back to it only once in a while because of the ABV. I'm not a one or two a night imbiber, but prefer to drink a six pack more infrequently and enjoy. My only advice on that is to drink it slowly and enjoy over a longer time frame. It is smooth, but subtly powerful. Definitely my favorite out of the stronger IPA's.
5.0 Excellent beer, my absolute favorite all around IPA. Never have trouble finding this on draft in southeastern PA.
3.9 (12oz bottle) AROMA: piney resin, hops, copper/metal, more herbal than fruity, underlying layer if roasted malt, coffee APPEARANCE: clear, coppery, amber yellow, light head, some residual tracing, slightly oily TASTE: heavily roasted grain, corn, small touch of anise and cloves, so a bit medicinal and metallic, pine, grass PALATE: solid medium body, but a light and smooth feel, crisp and clean upfront with a slow linger of bitterness OVERALL: a very nice IPA, different, not fruity/floral and citrus like many other IPAs, so more bitter ale like, not an every day IPA but unique in characteristics, a high quality brew that is worth a try.
3.3 Fat. Klar guldfärgad med ett vitt skum. Dofter och smaker av citrus, malt och tall. I smaken tillkommer örtighet. Besk avslutning.
4.4 bottle, great flavor and color. Not overwhelming on the hops, notes of chocolate or mahogany. nice beer

3.8 Had this from the bottle with Stefan in Philly. Brewed in Hershey, PA. Hops and malt on the nose. Short-lived head. Clear light amber-yellow color. Crisp mouth. Balanced West-coast hops with citrus and pine flavors with nice malt and 7.5% ABU but does not feel too heavy. F Avey
3.5 In Troegs country. Tastes better local than the last time. Smooth ipa. Harrisburg PA
