3.9 330ml bottle from Drinks of the World, Basel (5.40 CHF): A nice change up for a Swiss beer after a lot of lagers & spiced beers. Good bitterness & hops with a caramel sweetness to back them up. The balance was good & the alcohol was well hidden which made it an easy one to drink & one of the better Swiss offerings I’ve tried.
3.2 Bottle. Gusher. Hazy yellow with a huge head. Fruity and earthy hops aroma, a bit soapy. Sweetish, fruity, piney, notes of citrus, grass, yeasty touch. Light bodied, long lingering bitter finish.
3.1 Bottle sample. Thanks zvsn. Hazy orange with huge off-white head. Sweetish aroma with notes of citrus, piney and soapy with hint of butterscotch. Very bitter flavor, piney and soapy with notes of lemon and citrus peels, grassy with light malty sweetness, lingering citrusy bitterness. Very carbonated, medium-bodied.
2.8 Not a bad ipa, little fruityness, good bitterness. However it tastes slightly soapy...
3.6 Bottle [from trade with CH-303] @ home. Hazy yellow to light orange color, full sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, lovely hoppy, nicely fruity. Taste malts, again nicely hoppy, nicely fruity, lightly bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not bad at all.
2.8 Many thanks to CH-303 for this bottle! A bit gushing. The beer starts floral with a nice bitterness in the background. Fresh and slightly grain, quite sweet. Piney-floralness with a very sweetish body. Fresh with a sweetish and floral-bitter ending. Round and highly drinkable, but way too sweet for me.
2.7 very overcarbonated and find the body to be very light to be considered an IPA. i found it underwhelming and over rated.
3.4 Wonderful piney earthy hop aroma. Taste is light and crisp with a grassy bitter hop kick. A great Swiss IPA.
3.7 Bottle from Drinks of the World, Geneve. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. The taste is spicy and quite dry with bitter resinous pine notes. Good long finish. Nice beer.
3.8 thanks alex bottle golden hazy good head resinous citrus peach good bitterness nice ipa oro velata buona schiuma persistente agrumata legera resina una nota fruttata ( pesca). Buon amaro discreta secchezza buona beva finale fruttato resinoso
3.4 Pours cloudy caramel gold with a rocky white head and good lacing. Distinct hoppy citrus aroma. Balanced tart sour IPA flavor with big citrus hops and a long lingering astringent finish. Nice carbonation and a well constructed character. Very good IPA that mirrors some of the better American versions.
3.1 Dark orange color with medium white head. Aroma is fruity hops: peaches, grapefruit, a bit herbal. Taste is juicy-fruity, but not sweet, dry and bitter finish, more grapefruit lingering. Fine carbonation. A solid IPA, but nothing special.
3.1 The color is cloudy orange with reasonably long lasting foam. The smell is flowery hoppy. The taste is moderately bitter with matching carbonation an a shy body taste. The aftertaste is a bit dry and leaves a slight bitter notes in the mouth. Again, heavy metallic finish, that ruins an otherwise perfectly fine beer occurs not so seldom. The one with metallic aftertaste is rather 2.4
3.2 bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Cloudy dark amber color, frothy white 2" head, thick bands of lace. Taste is caramel malt that adds spice and toffee in the palate, then hops make brief appearance before yielding to an alcohol presence that seems well beyond the 6% abv listed. A reasonable brew.
3.8 Bottle from Au Grain D?Orge - Hazy golden color with a huge persistent white head, good lacing - Aroma is citrusy, mango, passion fruits, flowery (elderflower), malty - Flavor is citrusy, grapefruits and malty, light/medium body, medium bitterness, fizzy carbonation, dry, dry bitter grapefruit finish - Light ipa, well balanced, easy drinkable, good malt backbone, really good
3.4 Pours a slightly hazy orange color topped with extra hefty off-white head. There’s a pleasant citrusy aroma with notes of caramel. Very decent hoppy bitterness all the way from the start. Some herbal notes in the finish and aftertaste. Pretty good.
3.6 Appearance: Unclear orange golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing. Aroma: Citric/grapefruit hoppy, herbal and mild tropical fruity Palate: Medium (+) body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation. Taste: Fine fresh mild grapefruit hoppy, mild malty and mild tropical fruity. Overall impression: Nice fresh easy drinkable IPA. Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with CH-303
3.5 Hazy orange colour, moderate sized off-white head; aroma of grass, bread, intensive earthy-yeasty notes minimal citruses and some sauerkraut, maybe green tea; taste of malty sweetness, tropical fruity notes and some sourness; not bad, but they are not yet there
3.6 BOTTLE 33 CL from CH-303. Look: hazy golden-amber, ivory frothy head. Aroma: fresh and rich fruity hops - sweet orange, mango, hints of pin. Marmalade fruitiness, possibly a bit catty (?). Taste: again, fruity juicy hops, balanced by light malt sweetness with hints of fruity acidity, moderate clean bitterness. Nice medium and drinkable body. Very good!
3.5 300ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a slightly hazy orange colour forming a big white and bubbled white head. Good retention and lots of spotty, chunky and soapy lacings formed and left in the glass S: Sweet malts, flowery hops, grapefruit, caramel, pine. Delicious T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of grapefruit, caramel malts, caramel, pine and earthy hops. Medium bitterness. Well balanced M: Medium body. Good carbonation. Malty and very flowery aftertaste O: Excellent drinkability. Great American IPA made in Switzerland [ BA Review @ 11/11/2009 ]
3.3 Bought at Drinks of the World. Pours a slightly cloudy orange and comes with a citrus aroma and a dominant bitterness. Medium-bodied with a soft carbonation.
3.6 Ambrée orangée, trouble. Mousse blanche peu persistante. Faible carbonation.
3.5 Pours clear orange with small white head. Tropical fruit aroma with pineapple, mango, oranges. Taste is hoppy grapefruit, some candy sweetness, nice bitterness. Body is fairly thin and soapy. Pretty good.
3.1 At BdF 2014. Poured hazy orange/amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of bitter floral hops. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, lightly sweet, medium bitter.
2.7 Grassy grapefruit aroma. Orange with a white head, Strong bitterness. Aroma is not lasting. Unbalanced. IPA for sure, not my favorite.
