3.4 Together with Yves and Bart at Bart's home 0.75 l bottle hazy amber brown colored body with a large off white head and with a spicy herby malt hop aroma a spicy herby malt hop fruity sweet slightly sour alcholic bitter taste with an alcholic bitter finish
3.2 Tasting @ Havregatan 20171110. Bottle (330 ml) from boxbeers.dk. Malty, pretty and caramely, vinegar, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and malty with bretty notes.
3.5 Beer tasting @ Jorn69 10/11-17. Bottle from boxbeers.dk. Fruity and bretty with vinegar and a touch of spices. Body is medium, the finish is dry and fruity.
3.4 Bottle from boxbeers.dk. Pours a bronze like colour beer with a medium head. Yeasty and spicy with notes of brett and vinegear. Dry finish.
3.8 07-OCT-2017, bottle @home, from Arnes Bottleshop, Westmarket, with Ulkløbben. Hazy orange with a huge, fluffy, off-white head. Huge brett. IPA'ish but very Belgian. Sweet, bitter, herbal, fruity. OK.
3.7 Barnyard, black pepper, peach, apricot, cereal. Light bitter, light sweet, light sour, tart.
Klasse!
3.9 Bottle from a bottle swap, thanks Monster Magnet! Sweet funkiness. Some slight fruitiness and honey. Taste is a bit siur and honey sweetness countered by lightly bitter finish and high carbonation
3.7 33cl bottle. Hazy golden orange with a medium off-white head. Brett, citrus, fruity and herbal. Good.
3.2 Deze tripel is wat onbestemd. Zurig, wat bitter en ook fruitig. Daardoor is het eigenlijk vlees noch vis. Mooie oranje kleur met vettige schuimkop.
3.2 Tap @ c4. Pours hazy golden with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are brett, citrus, caramel, and yeast - with a dry finish.
3.7 Bardzo fajne, owocowo-brettowe piwo, czuć, że jest mocne, mimo tego, że alkohol nie uderza.
3.6 On tap at Gillys Fine Wine and Craft Beer in Rockville, MD in May, 2017. Pours all head from the tap, but eventually settles to a hazy, darkish golden orange with excellent lacing. Aroma of bread, banana, funky tropical fruit, lemony citrus, green grapes and sour light fruit. Taste of sour stone fruit, bread, lemony citrus, banana, green grapes, mild coriander, cloves and funk. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. Not much of the hopping has survived. I would have classified it as a sour triple, rather than an imperial IPA. The is some fruitiness though, which like comes from the now-subdued hops. If you can ignore the classification issues, it's a fairly pleasant sour.
3.6 KRS091216. Deep golden-orange color with an off-white head. Aroma is brett, citrus, malt, hop, herbs . Flavor is brett, citrus, malt, hop, herbs, vinegar. Easy drinkable nice beer.
3.4 Bottle (750ml): Copper to dark copper coloured, hazy, stable off-white creamy and stable head; slightly sourish-fruity, but mainly nutty and caramelly nose; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; caramelly and spicy citrussy and lemony-hoppy finish. Good, but not breathtaking...
3.6 (bottle, 75cl) Hazy, bright orange to amber colour with a short off-white foamy layer. Yeast-funky, mildly wheaty and sour-fruity aroma with notes of citrus, gooseberries and peach. Slightly bitter and sour-tart flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Funky wheaty and fruity taste with notes of citrus, apricot and peach; slightly bitter with a delicately sour-tart fruity finish. Pleasant. 28.IV.17
3.3 Backlog. Bottle at home. Hazy amber with an off white head that lasts well. Aroma of stone fruit, spices, sweet dough, tropical bubblegum. Quite a lot of brett and spices in both aroma and taste.
2.8 .33l bottle with friends, amber beer with soapy head. Sour taste, triple hop is not really coming back. Slightly bitter beer, but mostly sour. High carbonation, light body.
3.2 Nose- sour funk, citrus peel, strong malt and caramel, barley. Taste- mild sour funk, creamy full mouth, resin, pine and wood.
3.9 Pours orange, hazy, big white head, nice lacing. Strong banana, than almost lambic-like sour scents, grapes, alcohol very well hidden, bretts, . Nice sourness, some bitterness. Medium body, fizzy, long finish, suprisingly drinkable.
4.1 Draft at BitterCreek. Hazy golden, soft silky head. Aroma is light and fruity, kind of floral. Taste notches up the tartness, still fruity and juicy. More yeast than hops. Doesn’t present itself as a big beer, but it’s there and it will sneak up on you. Not your typical IIPA.
4.0 Taste comparison with the regular magma. The aroma is completely dominated by the brett, no hoppyness... Only sourness, like a geuze. Taste is softer and more balanced but sadly also a less distinctive altough it is still spicy. Aftertaste not bitter but spicy/sour. Less alcoholic than the regular one. Now that I am getting a bit drunk ( this is no "cat pee" ) I am leaning more towards the brett if I had to make a choice... So I’ll let my drunken "innocence" decide and give an extra point to the one I’ll grab first... the brett then...
3.4 December 2016 - Bottle picked up in Belgium and shared at One Canada Square. As ’Troubadour Magma Special Edition 2015 Triple Spiked Brett’, 9.8%. Amber orange, translucent with a huge foamy off-white head, full lacing. Aroma is apricot and apple, some citrus. Body is light, tingly to spritzy carbonation, frothy. Taste is a little sugary, apple flesh, metallic and dusty with a soft sour vibe. Decent beer. (3.4)
3.4 bottle bb 6/8/20 amber orange hazy good head brett wood cellar light resinous good dryness light acidity ambrata arancio velata buona schiuma media persistenza naso infetto brett legno cantina filo resinoso buona secchezza un leggero acidulo forse acetico buon smaro alcool piuttosto nascosto
4.4 Beeroda.hu Tasting Sessions @ Budapest. Orange pour with cream head. Very a acidic and sour, think the bottle may have been bad.
3.5 I really like the regular one (been a while since I had one though) and this isn’t an improvement. The hops and fruitiness is replaced with sourness. Also there’s a metallic taste present which I really dislike. Not the best sour beer.
4.0 Bottled. 15cl sample. The aroma has citrus, funk, bubblegum. Bit hazy, copper coloured beer with a slight off-white, medium head. The taste is light-moderate bitter, very funky, has bubblegum, citrus, bit biscuit, hint of barnyard and tropical fruit. Very nice beer. It is made with Brett so no way this is an Imperial IPA.
3.5 Backlog, ocena przepisana z untappd, w ramach uzupełniania profilu na ratebeer.
3.4 Bottle shared on Level 42 12/12/2016. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. A light hazed golden orange coloured pour with a a loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet malts, apple, funky brett. Pineapple, plum. Flavour is composed of tart plum, raspberry, woody, mould, funk, sour, tangy, stale. Palate is sour, highish carbonation,
