3.4 Una cerveza de cuerpo castaño rojizo con espuma generosa y persistente, con notas a caramelo y moras. Una sensación acida y amarga al final, con un poco de dulzor.

3.6 How: bottle. BB: 27.08.21 Head: off white/ light tan, two fingers. Dissipates almost immediately after pouring, possibly glass has some soap residue. Colour: deep amber. Aroma: rye bread, caramel, red berries, some herbal notes, some alcohol. Rich. Taste: medium/ full body, average to lively carbonation, follows aroma with alcohol more as a gentle warmness. Caramel& rye bread in long warm aftertaste. Good sipper.

3.9 Deep copper, white head. Burnt sugar, dark berries. A bit on the sweet side, but balanced against a rich malt body.

2.7 Bottle, 50 cl. Decent, quite sweet. However, in spite of the ABV, I would have preferred more "bite": in the finish, mouth feel, etc. There are better, more complex double bocks.

3.1 Bottle. Caramel, nuts, breadcrust, raisins, chewy body. No flavour depth and a fast diminishing finish. Decent.

3.9 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours an almost clear mahogany colour with a thick creamy beige head. Lots of carbonation in the glass. Nice lacing. Aromas of dry dark fruits, berries, cherries, plums, caramel, nuts, fruit cake, brown bread and mild chocolate. Taste has the same notes as the aroma with some added mild notes of leather. Full bodied with a lovely smooth oily mouthfeel and a long slightly sweet dark fruity finish. Nice Doppelbock!

3.9 Clear chestnut brown with a nice ivory-coloured head. Nose: caramel, candy, dried fruit, treacle. Medium body. Taste: medium sweet, rich malts, dried fruit, esters, candy, chocolate. Light bitterness. Fairly good.

3.7 Ciemno herbaciany kolor piwa, które jest klarowne z solidną pianą. Aromat typowy dla podwójnego kozlaka, ciemne suszone owoce, karmel, dominują akcenty słodowe, praktycznie brak akcentów chmielowych. W smaku podobnie słodowe nuty z karmelem, trochę mdłe. Finisz lekko wytrawny

3.5 Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear ruby body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, chocolate and plum. Flavour of roasted malt and prune. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A mild, subtle Doppelbock. Drinks easily for the ABV but I’d have liked a bit more depth.

3.4 A dark brown beer. Interesting taste, herbal and chocolate. Probably best as desert.

2.7 Termin 17.10.2019. Butelka. Mój egzemplarz był sporo nagazowany, trunek barwy ciemno brązowej, z prześwitami. Piana wybiła mi wysoka, ciemno biała, złożona w większości z małych i mniejszej ilości średnich pęcherzy, pozostała w niewielkiej warstwie w pokalu. Zapach idzie lekko żelazem, do tego karmel, suszone owoce, odrobina kawy, likieru, alkohol wyczuwalny. Smak jakoś w pierwszym momencie nie uderza ten podwójny kozioł, jest raczej mdło i zdecydowanie słodko, do tego po czasie pojawia się czekolada deserowa, posmak kawy. Jak dla mnie słaby balans za dużo tej słodyczy i co za tym idzie mdlenia.

3.6 Pullo @ Alko. Kaatuu lasiin ruskeana ja valoa reunoilta läpäisevänä, noin kahden sormen paksuisella pumpulisella vaahdolla. Tuoksu on makean sokerinen, leipäinen, marjainen/kuivatun hedelmäinen ja hennosti tuntuu olevan pähkinää, joka saattaa kyllä olla paahtunutta leipäisyyttäkin. Maku on vahvan leipäinen, alussa, jonka jälkeen tulee marjaisuutta, makeaa hedelmäisyyttä ja kevyesti ihan sokerisuutta, sekä paahdetta. Suutuntuma on makeahko, keskitäyteläinen, juotavuudeltaan tämä on pelottavan hyvä. Laadukas doppelbock, hyvin tunnistettava, muttei älyttömän makea (onneksi), kuten ko. tyylissä silloin tällöin on tapana. Jää tyylin parhaimmistolle (Celebrator) runsaudessa.

3.5 Aroma: lots of toffee, caramel Appearance: clear dark brown color with a reddish hue with a tiny tan head Taste: toffee, caramel, herbal hop, medium-high sweetness, medium bitterness Palate: medium-full body, medium carbonation, bittersweet finish, very low booziness for 7.5% ABV. Overall: malt-forwards beer with relatively nice drinkability for a doppelbock. Nice.

3.5 Bottle, alko. Brown, cola coloured. Heavily malty nose, some powder chocolate, nutty sweetness. Thick bodied, warming, malty smooth. Nice drink

3.9 Smell of caramel malt, some earth. Bronze colour, high brown head. Aroma of caramel malt, some nuts. Sweet. Very pure flavours, very nice German doppelbock. Flat carbon, slightly oily palate.

3.8 Shared bottle at home. Pours clear dark copper with beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark malt, chocolate. Tastes sweet with almost balancing bitterness. Medium bodied, slightly sweet finish.

3.4 Bottle. Pours darker brown. Roasted malts and fruity aroma. Light smoke, plums, chocolate milk, medicinal herb flavor. Sweet taste remains. Not the best doppelbock ever.

4.1 Pours a reddish, deep, dark mahogany coloration with a large, creamy head. Smells of bready, caramel malt with notes of dark fruit: fig, plum raisin, toffee and light earthy/herbal hoppy notes. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by dark, slightly grainy, bready, caramel malt, reminiscent of pumpernickel bread, and strong notes of toffee and dark fruits: fig, plum, raisins, with lighter notes of coffee, molasses and licorice. There's also a distinct earthy/herbal hop note to this that really helps balance out the sweet malt notes. Finishes with a medium bitterness and caramel coated dried fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. This has a good complexity and exceptional balance of sweet malts and earthy/herbal hops to it that makes it quite enjoyable. A rather nice mouthfeel and well-hidden ABV further are also rather positive aspects of this. Definietly one of the better Doppelbocks I've had.

3.7 Creamy off white head left a cover on a rich mahogany coloured still body. Malt, syrup, brown sugar & caramel aroma. Medium to full bodied, creamy on the palate, with a fresh clean finish. Caramel, sweet malt, demerara, berry & plum tastes with a lovely tangy fruity finish. Top Drawer!

3.7 Bottle. Dark brown color with off-white head. Aroma has caramel, dark malt, bread, syrup. Taste is malty with long sweet aftertaste. Flavors of caramel, dark malt, dark fruits, chocolate and some coffee.
