2.6Aroma; scents from caramel, malts, honey, tart, syrup, toffee, sweet grass. Look; off white good head, on clear amber body. Taste; flavours from caramel, malts, honey, tart, syrup, toffee, sweet grass, and finishes mostly malted. Feel; normal body and normal co². Overall; normal. [from bottle, b@ hypermkt PL, T@home waiting²]
3.7Bottle online from Beersofeurope.
Label says 5.8% abv.
Pours a clear golden colour with a large throthy white head. Aromas of grains, bread and honey. Taste has added notes of toasty bread. Medium body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. Nice one.
3.2500ml bottle from Beers of Europe: BB 25th Jul 2021. Drank at home on Boxing day 2020. Bright, clean and clear golden body, fast fading white head. Malty and semi-sweet from the off, I like the sweeter beers, so this was fine with me. Subtle winter herbal notes creep in as the beer warms a little.
2.6Deep gold with a frothy white head that fails to linger. Grainy aroma that feels both uninspired and stale. Taste has unremarkable grainy and herbal bitterness the whole way through, though there’s a touch of honey at the end. That’s about as complicated as this one gets. Body to the light side of medium, relatively mild carbonation. Drinkable in a pinch.
3.0A golden beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has maltyness, some grass, sweetness of honey. Taste has smooth maltyness, also sweetness, honey. Medium bodied. Nothing special here, but easy to drink.
3.80.5 l bottle from Alko Ympyrätalo, Helsinki. Golden, clear, nice head. German quality - herbal, slightly hoppy ending with a clean body. This was my first Christmas beer in 2020 and it kinda continues straight from the Oktoberfest beers. Sadly, Christmas markets are probably cancelled this year, at least in my home town - Lohja, Finland.
Frohes Fest miteinander.
2.4Aroma is dominated by diacetyl with a caramel, cookie notes. Taste is semi sweetish with a toffee notes, brown sugar, wort. Oh, really heavy for you belly, but not awful and undrinkable.
2.4# 1751; 1/2020. Malty, sugar, candy, spicy in aroma. Gold, brilliant body, long lasting head. Fuller body, malty, herbal, slightly candy and sugar. Quite sweet aftertaste. Above average Festbier. 0,5l, bottle, local shop, Eslarn (Oberpfalz, D).
3.6Bottle from that stall at the edin Christmas market.
Appearance - golden with a nicely proportioned head.
Nose - green beans and sweetcorn.
Taste - more green beans. Light herb and hop spice.
Palate - dry and refreshing. Light bodied.
Overall - good example of the style.
2.9Tight white head left a froth on translucent, dark gold still body.
Floral aroma with pale malt & confectionery.
Medium bodied, smooth on the palate with sticky back.
Berry, spices, fig, sweet fruit, banana & malt tastes.
Tasty beer bbut where's the Christmas
2.4Flasche 50cl.
3.3Bottle shared by Thomas thanks.
Small but lingering white head.
Neutral malt aroma.
Firm malty taste.
Good balanced bitterness.
3.2Złociste klarowne piwo z niezłą pianą. Aromat słodowy, trochę nijaki. W smaku lepiej, na pierwszym planie nuty słodowe w tle trochę goryczki chmielowej. W sumie typowy niemiecki festbier
2.1złote, z piana drobną i średnioęcherzykową, utrzymującą się. Aromat słodowy i tyle. DMS. W smaku tak samo. Badziew
2.0Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Grainy, bread, some corn, sweetish, oxidation, bitter finish, alcohol hint.
2.5At Dror's place, pours yellow with a small head, aroma of grain, caramel, toffee, flavor of caramel, corn, medium bodied
2.0ABV = 5.8%. 2018 version. BB 19.07.2019. Poured a crystal clear gold with a rapidly diminishing white open foam head that laced poorly. Carbonation very low, lively and coarse. Aroma moderately strong of pale malts. Taste moderately strong of pale malts with a slight sweetness. Light body. More of a festbier than a marzen. Disappointing.
2.4Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before June 2019. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, musty and just a little grassy aroma of grains and traces of straw. Moderately sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter, a little grassy taste of grains, light vanilla and hints of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Hardly enjoyable.
2.9Bottle from an Edeka supermarket in Berlin. Pours deep-ish gold with a white foam and a dry-grassy and golden corny-malty nose - this is a Festbier, not a Märzen. Chewy and moderately dry-bitter, but lacking depth.
4.6Bottle: Great X-mas beer, malty, hearty and tasty. Food Pairing: Turkey, dessert.
3.5Fles 50cl thuis. Wat malten, licht zoet, balans redelijk. (12-2016).-------.
3.0caramel, bread, hay, cereal, roasty, resin, floral, spruce, citrus, herbs, light body, medium body, full body, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, lightly sour, lightly bitter, light sweetness,
Couleur doré soutenu, presque d'or, à la clarté cristalline.
Puritanisme ...
2.80,5 l Flasche. Goldenes Bier, grobporiger, stabiler Schaum, kaum Gardine. Riecht würzig, hopfig. Schmeckt würzig, leicht nussig, grasig.
2.8Bottle. Poured pale gold with a frothy just off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, grass and yeast. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
