3.0 Bottle from Rewe Velburg - clear dark brown color, beige head. Taste is caramel, dark malts, chocolate. Overall flavors are quite weak. Okay, but a bit thin.

3.4 Pours clear caramel with a thick and persistent beige head. Aroma offers toasted malt, banana, caramel and subtle wheat notes, inviting a sip. Flavor yields toasted malt, banana, caramel and wheat with a hint of woody hops. Texture provides decent body and perky fizz. Dunkel your pleasure, weizen your fun.

2.8 Half liter draft at Cocoa Village Bier Garten, Cocoa, FL. Opaque root beer color with a small off-white head and decent retention. As expected, the yeast overpowers the dark malt flavor. At least it's less yeasty than a true Hefeweizen. Not bitter.

3.4 A light brown body with a finger of head. Looks great. Aroma is barnyard hay and earth. Taste is darker malt, mild fruit, mild bitter. Texture is thinner and crisp. Enjoyable.

3.6 Pours hazy mahogany with a full, tan head. Aroma is roast, banana, clove and dried fruit. Taste is date and light toffee, moving to clove, banana and roast. Finish is date, banana and clove. Good hefe.

2.1 Unmistakably a hefeweizen, even with its dark Marzen appearance, albeit more biscuit flavor from the malt than a Blue Moon for instance. Don’t like hefes and this one is no different, so wouldn’t order again. Could be decent with the right food pairing, but definitely not standalone

3.7 In ellegnt ottle. Dark cola color with a nice thin beige head. Strong wheat malt aroma with notes of banana and caramel. It has a light sweetness upfront and a very smooth finish. Very enjoyable.

2.5 gut genug um mich als bayrisches Dunkelweizen zu begeistern und schweitert so an der hohen Messlatte. Es hat schon die richtigen Aromen, aber diese sind mir zu unharmonisch und schwach. Kann man trinken, muss man aber nicht.

3.2 Bottle at home chasing styles from ivory tower. Light brown small foamy head. Nose is faint fruit and wheat. Tastes of light roast, plum, chestnut, wheaty. Watery palate. Touch bland.

2.7 Optisch wunderbar, satter Schaum. In Nase und Trunk sehr malzig, süß, etwas pappig, Nelken. Geht schon.

4.0 Sour on the tip of tongue. Citrus and yeast but banana-like. Like banana bread. Nice head and caramel color.

3.1 2 August 2018. At Salino, Bamberg. Cheers to Anke! Pours hazy brown with a lasting, foamy, tan head; little lacing. Aroma of caramel, honey, baked banana, bubblegum, cake, plum, cookie dough, yeast, wheat, some clove. It tastes medium malty sweet, tones of banana, honey, bread & butter, and light spicy bitter, clove-like, a bit yeasty. Dryish, spicy finish, lingering yeast & bread, a bit peppery hoppy. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Plain good.

2.2 0,5 liter bottle. Nope, not that good. It's hard to make a decent weizen without the nasty aftertaste.

3.0 0.5 bottle @ home Hazy, dark brown with a huge, white head. Some bananas and spices, caramel and a bit of syrup - not too heavy for a weizen. Sweet taste, quite malty, not particularly wheaty. Medium, creamy, average. Medium long finish. Overall, not particularly interesting.
