Tuckerman Pale Ale

Tuckerman Pale Ale

Tuckerman Brewing Co.’s flagship beer. Our interpretation of an American style Pale Ale, it is brewed using English and Belgian specialty malts and four different domestic whole hops. It is dry hopped and bottle conditioned, creating a beer with a strong malt character and a floral yet spicy hop quality. Tuckerman Pale Ale will be available year round. Currently, it is our introductory beer and is our only brew available.

3.2 Pours a pale amber with a thin, foamy white head that lingers. Nose is fresh and malty, with a hint of citrus. Taste is well-balanced. Leans to the sweet side. Light, refreshing brew.
3.1 Thanks Grant for sharing this one. fresh 6-pack I poured 4 ounces out of a bottle to enjoy. a golden yellow very tiny head. Nose is oats, rye and sweet almost corn like with a faint english bitterness. Nice mouthfeel. a sharp piney bitterness. I get a very mild grapefruit taste, light oat and a decent sweet malt finish. Not a huge flavor here but it’s pretty drinkable. would love to try it at the source.
2.6 Golden orange in color with frothy white head. Soft carbonation, more malty than hoppy. In fact, doesn’t taste much like a pale ale at all, just looks the part. More along the lines of a weak blonde. Not bad, but not good either.
2.8 A smooth pale ale with hints of bitterness and a medium, frothy head. Flavors are toast and apricot.
3.4 12 oz bottle pours amber with a white head. Aroma of malts, floral and citrus. Taste is malts and a hint of citrus.
3.0 Decent pale. Had it on tap and it poured a nice pale amber. Aroma of malt and some citrus. Light in taste and a bit thin.
3.1 Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy sun-colored orange with a decent looking glowing white color near to the top of the beer. There was a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute with a decent light lacing. The smell had a blend between floral and spicy notes. The taste was slightly floral and spicy. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and showed a decent sessionability about it. Overall, I’ve actually had this several times and personally I used to love to have this with some BBQ in the Summers back in Maine.
1.5 Not a bad beer, very light on the palate but not too hoppy. Could be a solid beer for refreshing drinks during the summer.
3.0 Bottled 3/4/14, a freshie. Waffle-malt and light floral aroma. Sediment filled orange. Basic malt sweetness, a touch of hops, really a classical interpretation of pale ale. Very soft and extremely drinkable. Neither great nor bad.
2.9 On tap at the Holiday Inn, Portsmouth, NH. An attractive golden amber pour with a thin white head; perfumed aroma; light biscuity malt taste; and a soft fruity finish. Quite refined and elegant for an APA.
3.8 Good overall taste... Very drinkable and smooth with a lightly hoppy finish.
3.0 Draft at dinner last night with my wife. Clear golden pour with a white film for a head. Not much going on with the aroma, bready malts, some citrusy hops, but very muted. Taste is just plain beer, not overly malty, not much hop character, just beer. Easy drinking and brewed in NH, so that scores some points with me.
3.3 Solid beer a little bit low on flavor but overall a good pale ale. I would like to visit the brewery.
3.0 Pours hazy amber copper with a small thin white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus and a hint of earthyness. Taste is mild bitters with some sweetness. Medium bodied. More malty then hoppy.
2.8 10/3/2013. From bottle. Pours hazy amber color with a white head. Aromas of caramel, malt and light fruit. Bland flavors with caramel and almost no hops present.
3.0 Pours a cloudy, dark gold. Nose of malt...lacks citrus typical of APA. Taste of sweet bready malt, followed by some muted bitterness. Almost like a cross between an APA and a pilsner. Very drinkable, but not all that interesting.
3.2 Bottle - via Ale in the Mail. Light golden-copper color - very cloudy. Aroma is both malt and hops. Pretty good - both malty and hoppy, but with some esthery flavors.
3.3 12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and citrus. Taste is similar. Very easy to drink. Nice session APA.
3.1 BOTM club. Pours a hazy golden orange with dissipating off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is faint, bready biscuit grains and a metallic twinge. Taste is better, slight hop presence up front, then a dry pale malt back. Decent, but nothing crazy.
2.9 Hazy golden pour. Off-white head. Not much to it. Some piny hops, light body, a bit of tartness. Eh.
2.9 Bottle. Very light biscuity malt and citrus aroma. Hazy straw gold with a large off-white head. Fruity biscuit malt and light grassy bitter flavor. Light body, soft carbonation. Easy drinking, but rather bland.
3.3 Thanks, Marshall, for contributing this beer-of-the-month selection to our "balcony time." Slightly cloudy ruddy gold, thick rim head, specks of lace. Taste begins with dry malt, becomes more bitter through the palate, but doesn’t lose track of the fact its a pale ale. A little watery, but still quite satisfying. Good session ale.
2.8 Orange-golden with medium white head. Aroma malt and faint hops. Medium body, somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Flavor is very malty and probably too sweet, missing the crispness needed for this style.
3.2 Clear gold with a cottony white head. Light fruit, caramel aroma. Taste is sweet, mild caramel with a slightly fruity bittering. Very smooth. Not bad.
3.1 This beer pours a cloudy orangish yellow with an average white head. There is a lot of grain flavor here, it is slightly sour and sweet with a little bit of spice to it. This beer finishes moderately bitter.
2.9 Bottle. Light toffee malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet orange malt and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Body on the light side. Easy drinking but on the bland side.
2.9 Bottle to glass. Pours a hazy rich gold/light amber color with 1 inch head, some lacing. Aroma is a little bit of orange/citrus with a bit of resin, balanced by a little malt. There is moderate bitterness on the tongue, a mix of citrus and resin, as well as a bit of sweetness mid-taste. Carbonation is medium-high. Medium mouthfeel with a medium finish. Drinks fairly easy and would be good session beer. Finish is a bit much to really enjoy though.
2.7 Draft. Pours murky orange with zero head. Little to no aroma or carbonation. Slightly more flavorful than a typical mass brewed beer. Very forgettable.
2.4 12oz bottle. Pours a lovely clear deep amber with white head. Light aroma. Light flavor. Forgettable.
