2.9 Соломенный цвет, заметна сильная газация, пены почти нет. Аромат газировки Дюшес. Водянистое.
1.3 Whiskey strange flavour and nothing more, quite fizzy, amber, light body, again caramel and whiskey...terrible.
3.2 Clear copper with a white head. Aroma is very light, almost non-existent. Some caramel notes and a bit of smoke. Taste likewise subdued. Some banana and bubblegum notes, light caramel, but not much else.
2.6 Fcking Craft Pub, Moscow bottle: pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is light citrus and bread. Taste is lightly bitter. Mild aftertaste. Pretty light.
3.1 Poured from a stubbie. Nose is much like a dry English Ale, bready malt, a touch of banana, a little coriander, just a hint of whisky. Appearance is a typical larger. A clear gold beer with a light foamy head. Taste is heavy sweet and a little bitter. Palate is thin, watery, high carbonation. Kind of like a weird cross between a mild wiess beer and English bitter. Very little Scotch... Disappointing.
3.2 Bottle. Amber and gassy appearance. Malty, with an acidic aroma. Light fruitiness with hints of banana. An easy drinking beer but a bit disappointing overall.
2.4 Cloudy golden-orange color with small white head. Aroma is bitter caramel, butterscotch and toffee. Taste is slight caramel, some earthy old world hops and toffee. Quite sweet and a bit honey. Feels light. Low carbonation. Not too harmonious and a bit weak, although quite drinkable. Combined with food, a ridiculous booziness evolves.
3.0 From Hipercor. In Teku glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 2x05. Less disgusting than expected. Maybe because its softer than other whisky beers. However, at the end it still becomes a bit tiresome. No foam. Avg 2.7 27 Jan 2018. In Teku glass. From Hipercor. At lunch, after futsal match. With macarroni bolognesa + san jacobos. Malt forward, with a good, smooth, even chewable body and a low dose of whisky flavors that give it some interest. 1 month after bbf date. Muddy aspect. In this case, I got some foam
2.4 Bottle from G&B, Hammel. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma and taste is malt, caramel, some fruits, hops. Soft carbonation. Dry bittersweet finish.
3.2 Bottle, 330ml. Pours light golden colored with white head. Scent of light sweet malt and some fruity notes. Tastes quite sour with moderate sweetness. Light hoppy bitterness. Flavors of honey, apple, citrus. Some fruity hops. Pale malt. Slightly earthy and very light smokiness. Nice medium carbonation. I wouldn’t be able to tell that it’s made with whiskey.
3.0 Bottle share at Leighton’s, BB Feb 2016, 7%. Dark yellow / pale orange, lightly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is light with oak, wood, butter and plastic. Body is medium to light, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is sodawater, buttery, biscuit. Just a hint of whisky maybe. Fine I suppose.
2.5 Bottle split at LKS, thanks to Daniel, 03/09/15. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off White covering. Nose is caramel, paper, grassy, vanilla. Taste comprises much the same, sweet and rather bland, paper chase all the way through. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Dull ... wars of tim.
2.1 Bottle sample. Clear golden with small white head. Light sweetish aroma with notes of port wine, raisin and honey. The flavor is quite alcoholic, medium sweetness, notes of whiskey and raisin. Flat, medium-bodied.
1.9 Pours orange to bronze with a nice head, aroma of alcohol, malt and caramel, flavor of alcohol, malt and caramel, light bodied.
3.1 Brown bottle, 330ml, ASDA Aberdeen. Pours medium golden transparent with a thin white head subsiding quickly. Scent is toffee malts maybe hickory. Taste is medium toasted malts and wood, resin. Finish is residing sweetness and a little harsh but good.
2.6 330ml bottle from Asda. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of butterscotch, daunt spice. Taste has a faint whisky note, but you do have look for it. Dry finish.
2.1 Bottle. Cloudy, amber, frothy, tan foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation, & long finish.
3.0 Bottle BBE: April 2016. Chilled. Bright coppery amber body with a small white head. Low intensity nose, principally malty caramel with some doughy character. A touch of butyric, but generally fresh. Hard to detect any whisky on the nose. Heavy, fruity sweetness to taste, with a medium dry bitterness to follow. Some sourness. Quite full-bodied with a chewy texture, average carbonation and a lingering oaky finish. Overall impression is a bog-standard ale improved modestly by barrel aging (or similar). Not bad.
2.6 03/04/16Bottle from Asda Bridge of Don. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is sweet, biscuit, grainy, light vanilla, white sugar, honey and some earth. The taste is sweet, sugary, white bread, earth, toasty grain, cereal, sweet whisky twang and honey with a dryish finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. I wasn’t expecting much and that’s what I got. Pretty sweet and not depth whatsoever. I would choose I&G over this. 2.5 For real. 03/09/2015 Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours clear pale orange with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, icing sugar, dried apricot, dried mango, booze, vanilla and apple. The taste is crisp, sweet, peach, nectarine, mango, sugar, sweet bread, cake, soda water and wood with a short, dry finish. Light body and average carbonation. Watery and weak. So-so. 2.7, so 2.6 avg.
1.7 Light oragen color with a consistent head. Smoked and wooden notes. Surprising citrus flavor with not much body.
3.0 Bottle during RBWG. Pours a cloudy amber with small white head. The aroma is toffee and caramel. Thin mouth, sweet fruit, bready malt, boozy finish, decent.
2.1 Bottle from a Glasgow ASDA. Pours golden with a thin white head. The taste is fairly fruity citrus with smokey whiskey notes. There’s a fairly unpleasant dry after taste. Not good.
2.9 Aroma: fruity and whisky. Flavour: fruity sweet and nutty with notes of barrel aged whisky. Color: golden amber with a fading white head. From: eurospar in fuerteventura 011114
3.0 Bottle at home. Pours golden amber, nose is toffee, vanilla, taste is similar, floral.
2.5 Pours clear medium gold with one fingers of dense white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, patchy minimal lacing (3/5). Nose is sweet malt, honey, faint whisky and oaky vanilla (5/10). Taste is aggressively sweet with faint whisky notes, finishing bitter (4/10). Light to medium body, moderate to low sustained carbonation, with a lingering sticky bitter and faint whisky finish (3/5). I’m not a big fan of scotch ales / wee heavies at the best of times, and this doesn’t come anywhere near the best. Aggressive sugary sweetness and only a hint of whisky conditioning, on top of a sweet malt base and no hop character. About the best thing I can say about this is, at least it’s not peated malt. (10/20)
2.7 The lightest touch of whisky I’ve ever experienced in a "whisky beer". Clear gold with a thin white head.
2.8 220314: Clear golden color with a little foam. Light wood aroma. A little water taste with a few fruity notes.
2.4 (Bottle) pours light amber with almost no head. Red wine aroma with buttery, oaky tones. Notes of butterscoch, also a bit acid. Flavour starts really buttery/fudgey and sweet but continues pretty wine-ish with dry notes at the end.
2.4 Clear copper with a frothy head. Aroma of sweet malts and whisky, some fruity hints. Taste - very sweet and cloying, caramel malts, medicinal flavors with alcoholic bitterness. Light-bodied, too strong sweetness makes it difficult to drink. Could be better.
