With nice, malty sweetness and a soft aroma of clove, vanilla and banana, this German-style hefe weizen is unfiltered for a glowing orange hue.

2.7Bottle. Cloudy straw yellow with a very small head for a weiss. Banana, what, grass and medicine. Not impressed by this one....
2.412 fl.oz. bottle. A almost clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of banana and phenolic esters, some clove. Taste of clove, mild sweet banana, phenolic esters, nothing special.
2.2Good morning Illinois from Germany! 0,355 l bottle from Beer Supreme, Oldenburg. Murky flat yellow in the glass, small one finger head. A lot of chewing gum and a little bit citrus on the nose. Taste? Not a lot. Also some chewing gum, less caramell, maybe some orange. Watery. Below average.
3.9A superior Hefeweizen. Even better tan the Two Roads version. Equal to the many German ones I have had.
3.312 oz single bottle from Hy Vee Wine & Spirits - Council Bluffs (Madison Ave). Mostly clear, bright orange appearance with a small head. Aroma of wheat, toasted grain, light hops and hints of banana/clove. Similar flavor, adding mild malt sweetness and a touch of hop bitterness. Light bodied and easy to drink overall.
2.8OK but not weiss beer lacks any significant head and is just flat on the palate.
3.2Pours a hazy maize color with no head. Aroma of clove and banana.Vanilla, banana flavor with some wheat. Very nice.
3.512 oz bottle. It pours a light golden color as you take in the aroma of bananas. There is a very good banana/wheat taste to it that make for very smooth and easy drinking.
3.3Tap at GABF. Pours a clear orange gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is strong floral, banana, clove, yeast. Medium body, clove, banana, light dry finish, good.
3.5Sampled at GABF 2015 and posted my my lasting notes. In the tasting glass cloudy yellow. Nose of banana and clove. Medium body. Flavor is banana, close, and citrus. Finishes drew. To style and good.
3.3Decent hefe but not great. Hazy pale with no head. Light on banana and clove with sweetish wheat and some lemon. Taste is a bit sweet and muddled and laxks clarity.
3.9Fruity and bright, with a full palate and a crisp finish. Everything a Weiss should be: refreshing, but substantial.
3.5Hazy , golden color. Thin , weak head . Banana , clove and wheat malt in aroma . Sweet, fruity and yeasty taste. Well brewed hefeweizen.
3.4July 27, 2015. On tap at Spuyten Duyvil.
Cloudy yellow with a small creamy white head. Aroma is sweet banana, wheat, grain, some cloves, white pepper. Taste is medium sweet with ripe banana and cereal, light bitterness with a dry spicy touch and some floral notes in the finish. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.
3.2Hazy yellow pour. Aroma is wheats and floral. Flavor is sweet, some orange and what but not too heavy. Sweet finish.
3.3On tap at Beer Culture. Orange body with big head. Nose is floral, fruits, bananas and oranges. Taste is similar of fruits, sweet, some vanilla and similar notes. Nice and creamy texture.
4.2Hefe with strong banana notes. I’m a banana beer fan, so this is high on my repeat list. If you don’t like banana as the front runner steer clear.
3.4On tap at the Pony Bar NYC. Pours hazy yellow with a big white head. Smells canned fruit, fruity hoppy. Tastes fruity hoppy, canned fruit, banans, a bit sweet with a mild bitter finish.
3.9On tap numerous times, including at Warrenville brewpub. Prototypical and perfected Hefeweizen. Notes of clove and banana. IMHO the best American take on the Hefeweizen. Only slight cloudiness and light body. No grit in the mouthfeel. Very good.
3.7Bottle @ Jungle Jims / Eastgate OH --- Hazy light orange amber, white head cover, light lace streaks. Taste is malt and wheat that move through a solid carbonated swallow, adding caramel toffee and light bittering in a medium length finish. A very appealing Weiss - recommended.
3.4Not bad but not too Weizen. Nice to drink, cloudy and good smell. Refreshing and great features..
3.3Cloudy gold pour. White head diminishes quickly and leaves spotty lacing. Typical hefe nose-- banana bread. Faint floral hops. Medium body. Lots of banana and spices, bit of floral hops in the finish. Clean and no overpowering flavors. Not my favorite style, but enjoyable.
3.4Bottle. Cloudy honey-orange with an expansive fluffy head of white. Aroma blends clove, banana, vanilla and orange, with an emphasis on the fruits. The flavor is soft and sweet, with mild fruity wheat fading to vanilla and mild banana before a gentle tang at the finish. Creamy medium body; moderate pinching carbonation. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
2.9Deep honey color with no head. Sweet thick fruity aroma. Flavor is champagne like, a bit heavy. Too heavy for me. Tastes like wheat wine. Sticky and thick.
3.2Draft at warrenville. Huge banana aroma with light bubblegum and clove. Taste is less yeast forward. More of a creamy wheat flavor and a silky mouthfeel. Not much banana in the flavor but overall a decent beer.
3.312oz bottle. 8/23/15 code date. Appearance: Cloudy light golden, with minimal white head, especially for style.
Aroma: Banana is strong, with some clove as well. Typical weizen yeast.
Taste: Sweet, grainy maltiness, with a hint of banana and strong clove. Bitterness is minimal.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a slight creaminess and slickness in the tongue. Carbonation is low for the style.
Finish: Banane esters and clove phenols linger retro nasally long after the swallow.
Overall: Great weizen yeast character. This serving is under carbonated for the style, but well wishing code date on bottle. Tastes good but a bit overly sweet, almost cloying
3.4The beer pours a cloudy golden color with a large white head that fades somewhat quickly. The aroma has a lot of banana, but there is also some wheat sweetness and vanilla. The taste is quite sweet and a touch sour with a strong banana flavor supported by wheat graininess. The palate has an average carbonation, which should feel pleasant on the tongue, but the thin texture and medium-light body don’t support that carbonation bite on the tongue.
3.912 oz bottle, poured into a tulip glass at approximately 40 degrees F.
Appearance: Pours a bright and sunny straw gold, mildly cloudy beneath a fluffy white head.
Smell: Fruit and spice drifting above a ripe wheat field, redolent with notes of banana and clove. This is one of the first US "hefeweizens" I’ve smelled that has given me hope that I’m actually about to taste a traditional hefe.
Taste: Tradition confirmed. This beer billows with banana and bubblegum esters, atop a tastefully understated mix of clove and coriander. While nothing particularly stands out, that’s not exactly a bad thing - this actually drinks like a hefeweizen.
Mouthfeel: Light while bordering on creamy, this is a quaffable brew!
Overall: I am quite pleased to have found another US version of a hefeweizen that is not a pale wheat ale with a misleading title. Will definitely repeat.
3.9Good palate and nice aroma with a complex taste and lighter appearance. Had this in chi town.
