Two Brothers Wobble IPA

Two Brothers Wobble IPA

Two Brothers set out to make a wide variety of creative and complex, yet balanced beers. But…once in a while we feel a need to “wobble” on the edge of really hoppy. Wobble IPA is golden in color with subtle malt character, big complex citrus and piney hop notes throughout.

3.7 Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, modest hoppy-dry, more and more fruity with notes of apricot, some grapes. Mild bitter background. Finish well balanced, soft-hoppy-fruity. Nice.
3.3 Begint goed met een aangenaam aroma maar helaas is de smaak een beetje te vlak.

3.6 355ml bottle, LotNR 1507, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Stable pearl white head over a hazed orange coloured body. Lacing rings down the glass. Decent aroma of apricot, pine and bread. Well balanced hop fruity taste, moment of orange and apricot, nice doughy backbone. Hints of citrus peels to a rounded bitter finish. Medium bodied. Likable version of the style. (Tromsø 23.02.2018).
3.4 355ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy, slightly piney, minimally floral, hoppy aroma, biscuity, pale malty background, notes of lemon, lemon drops. Taste is sweet-ish, biscuity pale malty and citrusy, minimally grassy-herbal hoppy, moderately to heavily bitter, notes of lemon, a piney touch.
3.5 (bottle, 35.5cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly biscuity malty and citric, slightly earthy hoppy aroma, accompanied by hints of peach and resin. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Mildly bready and slightly biscuity malty base with moderately fruity and slightly earthy and resiny hops; dry-ish and moderately bitter finish. Fairly well-balanced IPA. 02.II.18
3.3 Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, malt, and citrus fruits, leading to a bitter finish.
3.8 Bottle. Pours clear golden with a small, staying creamy white head. Aroma has pepper, piney, apricot, citrus and lime. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet malts, doughy, fairly crisp. Good citrussy hops, some pine. Fine elegant bitterness. No frills IPA.
3.9 Aroma has a floral hoppy quality to it, and some citrus, as well. Orange body, hazy, with a white head, with a lots of lacing. The flavor is hop forward, but does have a nice sweetness. Feel is rewarding, a wet and hot finish.
3.0 Copenhagen 9/11 2017. 35,5 cl bottle from Ørsted Vine. Very 1970 design label with a lot of wobble and Two Brothers whirling logo. Some discrete hops hangs around. Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with big white head. Settles as very thin layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate Lacing. Aroma is not very strong for an IPA. Some malty sweetness, exotic fruit and citrus notes. But subdued. Low carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and citric. A little weak in the aroma but a fair amount of bitterness in the taste. Not exceptional - but certainly not bad.
2.6 @ Stockholm Beer & Whiskey Festival 2017: Maltig och ganska tunn. Antaligen mycket trött
3.7 12 oz. bottle pours a clear golden color with small but lasting off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma has light citrus, some crackers, and a bit of pine. Taste is bitter with some bready sweetness in the middle before a long dry finish. Body is medium with average carbonation. Two Brothers' description made me hope this was some sort of extraordinary hop bomb, but its just another solid, enjoyable IPA. I don't regret buying six.
3.3 Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Lillehøgda. Gyldengul. Høyt kritthvitt luftig skum som daler sakte. Pen lacing. God plommearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken litt grapefrukt. Tørr avslutning.
3.6 12 fl.oz bottle. A clear pale golden beer with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of bitter orange fruits, peach, soft reddish malt. Taste of intense bitter hops, orange fruits, citrus, peach, not bad!
2.9 Aus der Flasche getrunken (Händlerlueferung). Dunkelgold mit weißer Schaumkrone. Schöne, satter Hopfennoten nach Citrus und Nadelwald.
3.4 Bottle poured a clear tarnished gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, pine and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, pine and a hint of grapefruit with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.
3.7 clear gold color with a nice white head; bright, citrusy hop aroma; very smooth; nice citrusy hop flavor on a light bodied, bready malt base; creamy and smooth
3.2 12 oz bottle. Smells of citrus. Pours gold with a white head that quickly dissipates. A lot of lacing. Orange and apricot tastes. Mild carbonation.
3.5 Pours a very clear light amber fluffy white head. Lightly sweet aroma not overly hoppy. Flavor is just a bit off not sure if the combo of hops or some other off flavor. Still a bit warm so may clean up a little a bit cooler. Finish is fairly clean it just might be a particular hop i am not loving.
3.6 Bottle. Clear golden color with tiny white head. Aroma - Citrus, malt, caramel, pineapple. Taste - Medium bitterness, light sweetness, citrus, pine, malt, lil soap.
3.5 Bottle BEST BY 07/28/17. Nose dough, light grain, strong caramel and malt, dash earth. Pour a very pretty saturated golden, clear with average carbonation and a sudsy off-white head. Watery light-medium body with light but rubbery bitterness, relatively dry, good golden malt character with light pine, dash earth, dash floral, somewhat restrained citrus. Cleansing with slight resin, clean, refreshing. Goes down easy, set it and forget it. [2017.06.16: 3.3] Upgrade: sweetness accumulated quickly and the rush of citrus (grapefruit, orange) peel accumulated along with medium pine and a really nice musk character. Yum! [3.5]
2.0 On tap at Two Brothers, pours a clear dull golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out faded sweaty hops, with a touch of pine and dry biscuity malt. Flavour has a nasty sweaty quality to the hops, with herbal, sweat sock notes. Dry biscuity malt on the underside. The sweatiness really ruins this. This is very bad.
3.8 Tap at Pour House. Brilliantly clear amber color. White foam. Big hoppy nose. Citrus, pine. Light sweetness but hops dominate. Dry flavor. Resiny hops, moderate bitterness, sweet grainy malt flavor. Finishes semi-dry.
3.0 12oz bottle. Small off-white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pine, light orange. Taste is moderately sweet, pine, some orange/grapefruit. Low carbonation, light-medium body, light resin.
3.5 Crisp, very hazy golden coloured body with a nice, smallish pure white head that perhaps is nearly two centimetres tall. Aroma of fresh grass, very floral notes and quite a bit of piney bitterness, with a smooth malt scent and a touch of alcohol, all noticeable. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy flavours with a distinct herbal quality, some flowers and a bit of malt, all with a smooth, but bitter finish. Aftertaste shows the hops in a decent light, albeit a definitely herbal and grassy twinge, along with some malt that supports the bitterness and a touch of fruits near the finish. Overall, a relatively smooth IPA with some good flavours, a solid profile, yet a very easy-to-drink and approachable beer with a slightly lighter-than-normal alcohol content. I sampled this twleve ounce bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 21-January-2017 for US$2,00 sampled at home in Washington on 17-February-2017.
