Two Roads Honeyspot Road IPA

Two Roads Honeyspot Road IPA

The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.

3.7 355ml Flasche. Golden, opalisierend und mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Süffig mit Grapefruitnoten. Herb im Antrunk. Erfrischend mit rundem Abgang.
4.0 Honey-yellow, slight haze and a big frothy white head. Slightly soapy citrus aroma. Fizzy lemon and lime with a sharp bitter finish. Very drinkable, light and refreshing like a kolsh.
3.3 Bottle. Light golden color, white foam. Aroma: specific, melon, brett, apple, fruity, unusual. Taste: a little pharmacy, dry, Brett, citrus and zest, bitter, light bitterness, strangely.
3.4 Nothing really stands out on this one, yet is a good all-around IPA. Sort of reminds me of a white IPA in style, but a little lighter on the tropical and yeasty notes. Has a clearish medium yellow-golden color. Mild on the tropical flavors and hops....I guess the Pacific Northwest hops make this closer to a Northwest IPA? Decent, just might be one of those that falls through the cracks with so many out there now.
2.8 Pours a clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma of hops. Tastes like an IPA with distinct, yet light, citrus notes. Palate includes citrus, hopes and a distinct cedar flavor. Drinkable.
3.5 Bottle. Clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has malt, grapefruit, grassy hops. Taste is malty with quite long bitter aftertaste. Flavors of grapefruit, wheat, grassy hops. Nice mouthfeeling.
3.6 Pour from a 12oz bottle. Hazy golden brew with thick white head. Aroma is tangy citrus, tropical fruit. Taste is tart citrus up front, moderate malt backbone, Ends with citric notes, tropical fruit, very clean, refreshing and tasty. A really agile and interesting IPA.
3.2 Bottle. Unclear yellow color with white head. Aroma is piney, sugar icing, forest floor, biscuity malts, a touch honeymelon. Taste is honeymelon, piney, sugar icing, biscuits, rather sweet, a bit sticky, bitter finish. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Good.
3.5 Bottle. Cloudy golden, low white head. Detergent citrus on a chreme. cheese bread. Dry light sugary base, lightly sticky resin, good citric impact. Good despite the age of the bottle.
3.7 Light gold, slightly cloudy, nice fragrance. Pretty good balance.
3.5 12oz can from BeerHawk, poured into a sniffer on 15-Jul-2018. Hazy pale colour with a large white head. Aroma of citrus, malt and pine. Medium body and soft/medium carbonation. Taste of orangepeel, grapefruit, honey and floral hops. Medium bitterness and a decent hop profile. Bittersweet fruity finish.
3.3 Bottle. Clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has malt, grapefruit, grassy hops. Taste is malty with quite long bitter aftertaste. Flavors of grapefruit, wheat, grassy hops. Nice mouthfeeling.
3.3 Cloudy, pale yellow colour with some white frothing. Aroma is honey and lemon, kind of lemonadey. Light bitter taste, sweeter towards the finish but pretty light overall. Low medium body, soft carbonation, smooth mouthfeel.
3.1 Bottle 330ml at home. Bottled 2018-01-06. Hazy yellow beer with white head. Pale malts, wheat, citrus, sweet floral fruityness. Medium to thin body, watery texture and average carbonation.
3.2 A tasty and crisp IPA, fairly light but still flavorful with a 6% alcoholic content. I am pleased with my choice and preferred this over the Road 2 Ruin (Double IPA), which was too strong-tasting for my liking.
3.4 From a beer hawk mystery case. Pours hazy golden. Aroma of light orange peel. Taste of hops , malt , citrus. Nice hop aftertaste.
3.4 $2.65 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is citrus peel, light skunk, melon. Flavor is melon, orange peel, orange pulp, light pineapple finish. Smooth, but not a ton of flavor.
3.9 A really lovely IPA with a very smooth mouthfeel. I really appreciate the wheat presence as it seems to smooth out this beer.
3.2 From can dated Feb 23, 2018, it's hazed pale gold with some head retention. Aroma is hop-dominant, showing as tropical fruit, pineapple, turning more green, grassy, and raw (like pellets) as it opens, showing some resinous aspects that as less pleasant. In the mouth it's medium-light bodied, a little flimsy and watery without much lift from carbonation. Bought a six pack after enjoying a single, and while it's an easy drinking without any major faults, it's not much of an inspiring drink. Back to to Luponic 9 as my go-to IPA...
2.7 Not at all impressed. Pale pour with no head. Seemed flat to me. Aroma was bland and the flavor followed.
3.3 Medium aroma and taste of honey, melon, pears some hops and white bread, a little bit to sweet for my taste.
3.0 0,355 l bottle from Beer Supreme, Oldenburg. Unclear pale golden nearly yellow in the glass. Smallest fast fading head. Fruity hopy smell, more tropical than floral. Taste starts with grape and yeast. Some hop bitterness. Smooth palate. Increasing dry bitterness in the second part. Okay.
3.4 Pours orange from the bottle. Frothy white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma is fruity with a bit of spice. Taste is bitter with a bittersweet aftertaste and hints of dough on a solid malty backbone. A touch of caramel. Medium body, a bit squishy. Good.
3.0 very light citrussy IPA, tastes more like a pale ale. looks brightly yellow, taste does not live up to lemon aroma
3.3 Bottle, 33cl, shared in two. Bought @ Beershoppen, Kolding. Pours light hazy yellow with a small, staying, creamy white head. Aroma has sweet malts, citrus, wheat, melon. Medium carbonation, fine dry and fairly light mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet malts, wheat, citrus, light piney bitterness.
3.4 Cloudy yellow beer with smallish head on top. Aroma has wheat malts, slight tropical fruits and grapefruit hops, very mellow maybe because of the wheat. Taste starts with wheat malts, slight hop bitterness with grapefruit and citrus. Sweet fruits too. Medium body and medium carbonation. Maybe too easy, with wheat there should've been more hops.
3.6 Can. Pours gold, tight white head. Aroma is heather herbs syrup. Initial taste is quite sweet but there's a decent bitter backbone to it. Good.
3.5 Cloudy pale yellow, white head. Grapefruit and lemon aroma. Citrusy, malty flavour. Malty sweetness with honey-like notes.
3.8 this beer is just a bit on the sweet side with sugar and pure white fruit punch with touch of tropical puree like flavor and slightly chunky mouth feel. still nicely beery it clearly is an ipa not strong and with a pleasant yeasty caramel backbone. not strong and not weak therefore it has no chalk and the carbonation is smallish and sudsy with just a bit of syrup that does not offend in any way. to me a great beer for any time of the year. lingering aroma of mild wheat and hop. oh yeah and the honey is evident but fits in well.
3.5 330 ml can ,bb 17/05/2018. Golden,myriad of tiny floaters. Nose - Belgian yeast,citrus fruit,grain. Taste - fruity,grainy.
