Two Roads Lil' Heaven

Two Roads Lil' Heaven

A session IPA in a can. Made with four exotic hops - Azacca, Calypso, Mosaic and Equinox. Taste is of tropical fruits, specifically passion fruit, grapefruit and apricots. Finishes with just enough toasted malt character to balance.

3.5 12 ounce can from Ernie's in Lexington. A fairly dark orange color with some malt and citrus.
3.5 Sampled in the Brew Bus variety pack. Enjoyed this and the double IPA the most. The lighter strength gives a smoother and crisp feel. Some bold-ish flavors for the style. Nice citrus, pine, and medium hops. Overall a solid session IPA.
4.1 Smooth, light, fresh, and crushable....while still offering a solid IPA profile. The nose is crisp and fantastic with piney and gently spicy hops. Absurdly clean finish, unexpectedly so, while rendering all the hop profiles as almost strictly aromatic. A wonderful beer.
3.5 7 3 7 3 15 Can shared courtesy of my Mum. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon, bready notes, fruity hops and caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
2.5 Bottled 355ml (Alko web, BB 05/2019) Golden colour, perhaps slightly hazy, small white head. Bready and fruity aroma. LIght-bodied. Pale malty, bready flavour, some grapefruit and tropical fruits. Doesn't feel particulary fresh, I suppose this is 1/2 years old.
3.2 Bottle. Clear gold with a white head. Sweet fragrant orange mango hop aromas. Mildly bitter, not much else. Watery.
3.0 Pours a hazy gold wit a full slightly off white head that remains big and laces. Nose is grapefruit. Body is medium. Taste is grapefruit. Bitterness is mild. Foamy on the tongue. 12 oz can in Beer Bus variety pack Canned 6/6/18 Best Before Expiry 10/1/18 Oh, well :>)
3.2 Bottle. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is toasted malts, orange juice, piney. Taste is piney, toasted malts, herbal, bitter finish. Velvety mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Quite a classic piney Session IPA!

4.0 Tastes like heaven. I would love to dive into a big bucket of this stuff
3.9 12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/5/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a very nice session IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great hop profile as expected. Great mix of juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a nice bready Munich malt backbone for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
3.6 Pours orange from the bottle. A sudsy, frothy head lingers. An aroma full of citrus greets the nose. Hints of grapefruit and sweet, candied fruits. Taste is bitter with citric overtones. Dry and fruity at the finish. Body is medium, smooth, pleasing. Nice.
3.1 Bottle at home, Nivala. Color is slightly cloudy light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Pine, caramel, some hops and malts. Malty and musty.
3.7 On tap at Positive Pie. Pours a hazy gold with medium white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is pine and citrus. Slick body, dank, grapefruit pith, lingering bitterness, very good.
3.6 12 ounce can poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a hazy copper with a white head of foam. Sweet sugary notes with a tropical fruity and citrusy orange juice aspect. Low bitterness. More of a fruity, citrusy IPA. Medium body and medium carbonation.
3.7 From the 12 fl. oz. can packaged May 4, 2018. Slightly cloudy copper-yellow color with moderate carbonation leading up to a lingering white head. Robust aroma of fruity characters and herbal notes. Maybe orange. Distant white sourdough graininess beneath that. The body is smooth and medium. The taste seems to bring out a faded-hop note with the grainy malts being more noticeable. I'm still getting some fruitiness but it is more like a tobacco character.

3.1 On bottle @Salling. Pours hazy yellow with white foam. Scent: Fruity. Taste: Light bitterness, mango, apricot, sweet. Texture: A bit creamy.
3.3 Can. Orange with a bit of a yellow tint, active and topped with a thin but staying head. Piled deep with tropical fruit ... pineapple, mango, mandarin orange. Tangy and tart, but shallow in the background. (#7014, 4/2018)
3.8 Very strong, powerful aroma that really drives home how wild the hops are in this particular beer. Really interesting, complex palate. Well-Crafted beer but not one that you can just knock back.
3.7 Can from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Nose of tangerine, orange peel, apricot, grapefruit which segues nicely into the flavour. Like this one.
