Two Roads Ol' Factory Pils

Two Roads Ol' Factory Pils

Traditional in concept with a Two Roads twist…dry hops. We use a combination of classic German as well as American hop and malt varieties in our Pils. We renovated a 100 year-old factory building and designed this Pils to have “extra” aroma…so, pardon the pun! Crisp…refreshing…refined.

2.5 Gulbrun klar med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter metallisk, noe maltig. Lett. Søtlig maltig, metallisk, noe honning og maltekstrakt.
3.7 Clear light golden with a thin pillowy white head. Brisk biscuity pale malty aroma with a slightly doughy bready undercurrent and lagery tones. Light and crisp flavor that's lagery and biscuity and dryish with golden Germanic Pilsner grains and a nice cool finish. Exactly what a decent Pilsner should be.
3.7 On tap at hotel bar. Pours gold with a creamy white head. Nice pils with a touch of hop bite.
3.7 Crisp golden coloured body with a smooth, two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of crisp malts, a touch of lighter, more herbal hops and a nice yeast quality, with a fresh citrus kick and a touch of metallic notes. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong dry grassy flavour with a noticeable bit of grain, citrus and some smooth sugars near the end. Aftertaste is robust and very clean with the malt showing first, then some light hops and grasses and finishing with the mild sugars, but all very crisp and clean throughout. Overall, a very nice lager with some noticeable Czech roots that make this clean and crisp with more of a dry and grassy note than anything else, but very refreshing for the summer and a well-executed beer, especially for the style! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 11-August-2017 for US$11,99/six pack.
3.2 Can at BeerDock Leek. Pours a clear pale golden colour with a medium white gead. Aroma of grain, straw, slight lemon, subtle honey and some floral hops. Taste of grain, straw, slight lemon, a little mineral, a hint of grass and some floral hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, crisp, slight citrusy, floral hop bitterness in the finish. A crisp, dry and refreshing Pils with minimal off flavours and good hoppiness. Good.
3.3 A golden blonde pilsner with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with German hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with German grassy hops, light mineral notes, light chalky notes, pleasant. On tap at Level One.
3.0 bottle. clear yellow 2 finger whit head. almost no aroma at all. dense and very soft carbonation. crispy and some very bitter orange peel flavor. old hops, old grass, with a zesty lime finish. weird one.
3.1 355ml bottle. Lightly hazed gold pour. It is light and herbal, drinkable, the bottle isn’t super fresh, but its okay.
3.2 hits the spot. on the style american pils. approachable. on tap at yhe only cafe.
3.5 Can. Grainy and corn on the nose. Nice bitter grassy base. Some wood and citrus. Pretty tasty.
3.5 A nice and tasty, quenching and full-flavored pilsner. Green apple, lemon, orange hops and a bitter green wood center. Nice and fresh.
3.4 Draft at Dominion Wine and Beer. Hazy gold pour with a white head. Biscuit and citrus with some nice hoppiness. Pretty decent pils.
3.0 Good pilsener. Nice noble hops like the prince doing skiprope. Golden pour with decemt head. Crisp finish. Tap at Churchkey.
3.4 Can from appellation wines dalry road. Pours hazy gold. Nose of pineapple, lychee, citrus. Taste is bread, lemon, marmalade.
3.4 Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - lemon and sweetcorn. Taste - corn and light green vegetables. Dry pithy finish. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good pils but I didn’t really get the dry hopped element.
3.3 Lager funk aroma with a bready malt. Taste is a crisp full bodied Pilsner with a bit of the lagerish funk and a bit of a dry hop bite to the finish. Well made Pilsner and some good flavors, but not my favorite style overall. Do not notice the dry hop flavors much, but does give a dry bitter bite to the finish.
3.3 Draft notes from Whole Foods PM. Hazy gold pour with white head. Nose is pale malt, hops, grains. Smooth taste, medium to light palate heft, decent hop level.
4.0 Solid local brew....My favorite Two Roads product. Beer is smooth going down and not too bitter.
3.5 12 oz can shared by a friend, thanks Mike J! Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of malt, grains, wheat. Tastes of malt, wheat, light citrus. Light body with a dry, crisp finish.
3.0 Fresh grassy scent. Pours clear pale yellow with a tight white head. Good lacing. A sour yeasty pils flavor. Very straight forward with mild sweet undernotes and a short hops finish. Basic.
3.6 Nice, rounded and very drinkable pils. Not one of my preferred styles, but as a Christmas present and drank after a large Christmas dinner it was very pleasant.
3.7 Can at home. Clear golden yellow with a white head. Nice hop note and moderate malty. Clean and crisp. Very pleasant.
3.1 Can from Rehills, Newcastle. Pale straw coloured with a thin white head. It has a floral fruit and grassy flavour followed by earthy, herbal and almond notes with a slight sugary sweet finish. Not bad.
3.6 can courtesy of tom10101, thanks man! pours hazy bright gold with a very nice white cap offering some creamy and sticky lacing. sticky cushy pils maltiness, very fruity as well - peaches perhaps; decent amount of wooden, grassy and spicy noble grass, very clean yeast, lots of minerals - salt mostly. moderate carbonation, light body; clean grassy-herbal finish. very quaffable and well crafted american pils. quite enjoyed whilst starting a campfire before dinner.
3.3 Hazy straw yellow pour with aroma of grass, grain, and some lemon. Lemon, pepper, and grain flavor with some hop presence. Clean, crisp, and refreshing. Very nice.
3.5 Can (12 oz) bought at Village Market Waterbury. Clear pale bright green-ish golden with a medium white head, good retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is grassy with some traces of a dry hop that already has a few months, mild spiciness and cereals. Taste is also grassy and slightly sweet with mild spiciness, cereals and hints of raisins. Light-medium body. Medium-good carbonation. Grassy and rather dry finish with an unfortunate raisins aftertaste that ruins a bit the drinkability. Otherwise it’s a clean and well-made Pils.
3.6 Can from Freshfields, Croydon. It pours clear yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is fresh, straw, grass, some floral notes, cracker, lemon and white bread. The taste is crisp, soft, clean, bitter - sweet, lemon parfait, grass, straw, light creaminess, cracker and a touch of pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A well executed oils. Crisp, refreshing and moreish.
3.8 Two roads ok factory pills is fresh crisp and refreshing. Not a big Pilsner fan but like this as a great hot summer day beer. Not a plain old pills has some good flavor - grab some!
3.5 12oz can packaged somewhere in Feb-Mrch 2016. Pours a clear pale golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is a little fruity and resinous, dryhopped indeed! Some light peppery aspects, too. Taste is dry and gently bitter, offers some lightly crackery cereals. Lightly fruity with more resinous hops. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is quite oily. A fine americanized pilsner. I might pick it up again if I see it again in a fresher state.
3.1 Pours a clear light gold with a pillowy head which lingers.....aroma is the smell of an old day tap room, unmistakeable pilsen grain, yeasty notes......taste is thin though mouthfeel is full, quick hit of grain, very, very slight hop note and both disappear quickly and leaving a lingering bitterness. OK pils, not amazing.
