Superlekker al die lekker laag alcohol bieren die perfect bij het soms zonnige weer passen. Maar sorry. Zelf drinken we toch echt liever een beuker van een IPA. Na het winnen van de Gouden medaille voor beste ’Double/Imperial IPA’ van nederland met de Big Fat Double 5 IPA, vonden we het tijd voor een stapje meer.
Deze Vullingen-uit-je-bek springende IPA is een 11% IIIPA (3 streepjes, als in TIPA of Triple IPA) met een shitload aan Chinook, Centennial en Amarillo.
Het strip etiket is gemaakt door Gerben Valkema, en het bier door ons. Goede deal he?

Dark yellow pour. Fruity but also piney nose. Tropical fruit tones, some caramel and a boozy aftertaste
Amber color. Malty, smooth. Full mouthfeel.

Pretty hazy. Very deep copper colour. Fairly small head. Aroma is pretty boozy with some orange. Taste is lots of burnt sugar, orange, and yeast. Quite boozy.

Ruikt uit de fles vooral hoppig, maar in het glas beetje alcoholisch. Erg lekker maar erg sterk.
330 ml bottle. Pours with a hazy, dark amber color and fantastic off-white head. Nose of overipe tropical fruits, resinous & pine aroma. Taste is nice hopy-bitterness and starts with a slightly sweet fruityness . Lots of grapefruit-peel at long lasting finish. Good work guys!

On tap at Vrtška 2018 in Belgrade-Serbia. Cloudy amber pour a bit muddy, not a foam per say but just a lacing. Nose: feel of an old beer, gone by far, that malty note is unpleasantly there. Mouth: can’t finusg it, I assume it is a bit old or suffered. Sweet malty and dead hops. A promise, I will look for it and re-rate.
Bottle from Mr. Hop. Hazy orange colour, white foam. Sweet nose of pineapple, caramel. Boozy, lots of tropical fruit, medium bitter finish.
Troebel oranje kleur. Ruikt en smaakt moutig en citrusfruitig in de zin van sinaasappel. Bitterzoet, volle smaak en veel body.

Bottle from the Beer Cave. Pours clear amber orange with a thin white head. Aromas of resinous hops and orange. Taste is more resin, pine, faint boozy heat. Low carbonation.
Draught, beer flight, at Tap Zuid. Patchy surface, fair lacing, misty amber coloured body. Promising aroma of toffee and herbal hops. Rather comprehensive taste profile of caramel, liquorice and dried fruits, jam-like impression. Bitter long-lived tail, with subdued alcohol sweetness. Likable. (Amsterdam 08.03.2018).
Tap @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich bitter hops, fruits, flowers and has a nice bitter and fruity finish.
330ml bottle. Pours reddy orange with a large head. Aroma is piney caramel and alcohol. Taste has caramel and piney hops throughout. Sweet low bitter finish. Alcohol is hidden well.
Color anaranjado, ligeramente turbio, con capa de espuma blanca de dos dedos de grosor y buena retención. Carbonatación suave. Textura entre oleosa y cremosa, tirando más a oleosa. Aroma a fruta dulce, fruta madura, cítricos difusos mezclados con fruta tropical difusa, malta caramelizada, miel y resina. Bastante dulce pero bastante lupulada. Entra dulce en boca, con fruta tropical difusa y cítricos, fruta madura, fruta dulce, miel, malta caramelizada, recuerdos de vainilla y resina. Amargor ligero al final del trago, acompañado de un mínimo de alcohol a medida que va atemperando (muy ligero, todo hay que decirlo, teniendo en cuenta esos 11%). Postgusto frutal, acaramelado y dulce, con recuerdos licorosos. Muy rica.
Keg at Struise beer shop in Brugge, Belgium. A hazy orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, hoppy, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes the same, sweet, hoppy, malty, caramel, slightly fruity. Really enjoyed this DIPA from Netherlands.
Tap@Uiltje TTO, Taphouse, Copenhagen (16/11/2017) - orange coloured pour with a white head. Fruity and malty with notes of citrus marmalade shred, grapefruit, citrus peel, caramel, malty, hoppy bitter close.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, over ripe fruits, alcohol, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, over ripe fruits, hops, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish.
From tap. Pours hazy orange. Solid hoppy. Pine hoppy. Toaste malt, hoppy and pine. Bitter and dry herbal finish.
33cl bottle. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is gluey malt, tropical citrus, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, rich malt, fruity, light pepper spice, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

W smaku żywiczno cytrusowe, lekko kwaskowe z długą, średnią goryczką.

Bottle thanks to Borresteijn. It pours hazy deep golden orange like with a creamy off white head. The aroma is sweet malty and sweet fruity hoppy with ripe berries and some marmalade. The flavor is spicy fruity with sweet malty notes. Barley wine like notes. US way. Awesome malty backbone. Only a whiff of alcohol. I like!
Bottle at home. Strong triple ipa, pours dark orange, brownish with little to no foam. Taste as if tea infused, but with a f*cking strong alcoholic kick. Nice one!
Vom Fass auf den Berliner Braufest 2016-09 getrunken. Dieses Tripel IPA trumpft mit kaum Hopfenbitterkeit und kräftigen Fruchtnoten auf. Auch der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Erstaunlich süffig und verdammt lecker.
W nosie i ustach: Biszkopty, sosna, , dżem ananasowy, grejpfrut. Alkohol wyczuwalny na języku, ale podkreśla gorycz. To połączenie likierowego chmielu z dżemem ananasowym wyjątkowo przyjemne.
Kolor: ciemnozłoty, zamglony.
Piana: niezbyt wysoka, drobnopęcherzykowa, w mirę trwała.
Zapach: sporo aromatów słodowych, ale tylko delikatnie karmelowych, wyraźne aromaty chmieli, owoców, alkohol delikatny.
Smak: wyraźna pełnia, lekka oleistość, trochę nut słodowych, słodyczy, wyraźne nuty chmieli, goryczka konkretna.
Wysycenie: średnie.
hazy orange colour, medium sized dense creamy yellowish off-white head; aroma of pine, marmalade, orange zest oils, grapefruit and biscuit; taste of marmalade, biscuity-syrupy and pine resiny notes, sweet, overripe fruits, celery, raisins and some grapefruit; spicy-horse-radish like aftertaste; great and complex IIPA...if it was labeled as barley wine, I would easily accept that, too
