3.3Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak piney aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish.
3.3I’m not sure about this one, poured surprisingly clear and bubbly, aroma was great - sweet - I was taken aback, by the biting/carbonated nature of particularly the second drink. Not my cup of tea. Tea.
3.3Bottle thanks to Douglas. Poured a clear pale amber with a near white head that dissipated to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a good amount of grain with some floral hops and a hint of grass. Flavor is similar with grain and hay in the start with some floral and grass hops coming out int he finish.
3.6On tap at Capones during Philly Beer Week. Pours a clear amber with off white head. Aroma is citrus grapefruit with some caramel background. Taste is sweet with medium bitters. Easy to drink. Hope to see more Uinta on the east coast.
2.8pale yellow in color with a white head. Insignificant Aroma. Slightly Sweet to start. Corn-like quality in the middle. Slightly floral taste in the finish. middle of the road palette.
3.012 ounce bottle. Pours a brown amber color with a quarter inch beige head that lasts. Taste is of hops, pine, citrus, fruit, caramel and some malt. Has decent full body that is oily. There is a fair amount of bitterness and dryness in the finish. Easy to drink and satisfying. Would be good on a warm summer day. Wouldn’t mind picking this up again.
3.6Bottle at The Rake, London. Pours a hazy amber, with a small off white head. Pine, pineapple, lychee, mandarin, sweet caramel, berries, toffee and a light spice. Light bitter finish.
3.5Bottle from Beer Ritz. Amber pour with a white head. Nice hoppy nose. Pear, pineapple and marmalade aromas. Tangerine and pineapple flavours with a little hop seeping through. Refreshing.
3.1Nice pale ale from Uinta. Slightly hoppy aromas. Smooth hop and malt flavors of citrus and toffee. Overall quite drinkable.
3.3Bottle; had this many years ago, guess I never rated it. Poured an orange-caramel color; with a firm off white head. Aroma of caramel, vanilla, earth, fruit, flowers and must. Flavor was nice and solid. Caramel and bread up, moving to earthy, alcohol and fruity flavors.
0.5Treacle. Sweet and thick. The hops get overwhelmed by this thick, unctuous treacley sweetness. One is OK. More than that is just not pleasant. This is not a good APA, it’s almost like a cautious home brew. Would like a t shirt of the label though.
3.1Bottled 355ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove. Orange gold with white head. Quite a sweetish malt flavour, lemon with light sugariness. Simple hop notes which struggle against the sweetness. Easy drinking pale but lacks bitterness.
3.1Bottle at The Grove, Huddersfield. Amber pour with a small white head. Sweet malty aroma with some fruit and hop notes. Similar flavour. Hoppage seems a little stifled giving this a slightly poor balance. Vague metallic tang lurking in the shadows. Drinkable but pretty unspecatcular fodder.
3.1Pours pale amber with thick creamy off-white head and foamy lacing. Predominately notes of spruce or pine. Balanced taste a bit on the bitter side, but not overly so. Crisp and pleasant drinking.
3.6bottle. Pours great looking copper orange with medium sized frothy yellow tinged head, quintessential APA look. Aroma is more malty than hoppy, featuring cake and light citrus notes. Flavor is pretty balanced, a blueberry pound cake malt backbone with the hops coming through more on the finish, citrus and apricot. Less hoppy than most APAs out there right now, it’s actually a nice change of scenery, although there are enough of a hop presence to give it a decidedly crisp bite. Medium bodied, creamy, and highly sessionable, this is a classic american session pale ale, could drink it till i drop.
3.5Bottle. Dark bronze beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly floral, malty and hopped, and the flavour is mildly spiced and hopped with a fairly long heavily bitter finish. Overall a reasonable quite strongly hopped and bitter beer with a touch of spice.
3.3Bottle. Amber with a thin head. Aromas are toffee, caramel and toast malts. Raisins with bready yeast and stewed pear. Lightly spicy with citrus. Flavours are sweet malts with yeast and chocolate. Peppery on the palate with pine bitterness. Decent.
3.6Bottle. Bronze and clear. Malty and quite sharp with a medium body. Pleasant and easy to drink.
3.5Beer of the month selection. Stands out compared to some of the other average Pale ales that BOTM sent. Tasty. Serving: Bottle
3.5Draft sample at BBQ, Brews and Blues. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a large fluffy white head. The aroma is pale malt, floral, hints of caramel, light citrus and grassy. The flavor is similar; moderate sweetness, pale malt, light citrus, grassy with nice balance. Medium bodied, decent.
3.1Poured the beer into a glass to drink. It had an amber-copper color with a creamy, large off-white head that had good retention and cling. The beer had a fairly malty aroma for a pale ale, with some caramel, and a good bit of floral and grainy hops too. The taste is bitter and grainy with a bit of a sweet-sour complement mixed in. It does not have a strong mouthfeel, with average carbonation, and a light creaminess.
3.5Bottle. Pours clear, golden-copper with lots of sediment and a faint, white head. Nice earthy, floral hop aroma with some malty caramel. Flavor has a brief, sweet, caramel-honey beginning, then mostly bitter with pine and earth. Medium body with lively carbonation. A pretty well balanced, full-flavored pale ale. Good.
3.3Draughts copper and cloudy, smokey and full. The thick, white head is a good asset. Pale malt and fresh spring air aroma. A little nutty and a little hoppy. Smooth, cool, and full body and taste. Takes you to another place. Mountain... fishing... yeah, go there.
3.4Pint on tap pours a pale copper color with minimal head. Aroma is very floral and hoppy with some citrus. Taste is bitter but not too overwhelming. A little sweetness also present. Palate was smooth and body was full with a nice refreshing aftertaste. Good pale ale, drinks more like a solid IPA.
3.4Copper pour, light head. Light citrus hops, crackers, honey and some grainy notes. Flavor is smooth and a bit malty sweet with a light spicy hop finish. Pretty ok brew.
3.012oz bottle. Pours a lightly clouded, golden-orange colored body with a big, two finger-width, frothy, white head that collapses slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is sweeter caramels and a light crystal with floral citruses and a hint of apricot. A touch of grainy toast as well. Flavor is grainy and sweet with floral citrus-apricots and a bitterness that seems a bit off to me. A hint of toast as well before this dries and leaves a medium length aftertaste. Light bodied and a higher carbonation level. Overall, an interesting pale ale. Very floral and sweet with a decent bitterness, but something doesn’t quite blend perfectly. This isn’t offensive, but I wasn’t a huge fan of it.
3.4(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Clear amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, orange peel, apricots and fresh, floral hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with citrus, rose petals, caramel, grainy malt and floral hops in a moderately bitter finish. Medium body, well balanced sweetness. Tasty and refreshing beer.
3.212 oz bottle. Drank Mar 09. Poured dark/copper orange, whit head. Aroma is floral, citrus hops, slight malt sweetness. Flavor is sweet grainy malts, citrus hops, nice bitterness that finishes to a sweet balance.
