This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

2.912oz bottle. Filtered amber-copper body. Thin, off-white head. Malt centered, not much a hop balance. Medium bodied, lighter than most amber lagers. The aroma is a little unappetizing, earthy and stale. Drinkable, but definitely wouldn’t want a sixpack.
2.4Bottle. Pours amber with little head. Lots of large bubbles. Sweet malt and some vegetable aroma. Bit malt up front with not much on the back end, not balanced very well. Lots of flavor for the ABV but pretty forgettable.
2.8355ml can. Quizzical gusher. It pours fizy and highly-carbed with a short-lived head. Aroma is floral caramel,, hint of nuts and sulphur. It is highly-carbed, herbal, light spice, bready character underneath, slight watery. Coudl be better.
3.0Poured from a 12 oz bottle, standard 6-pack from Old Line Fine Wine, Spirits & Bistro. Appearance is clear burnt orange, on the lighter side, and a huge meringue-like head. Aroma is spices and cedar wood, and some maltiness. Taste is mellow blend of cedar, peppery spices, and nuttiness. Palate is light body. Overall its easy drinking, and kind of plain.
2.9Canned. Poured clear, bright reddish-orange with a short-lived off-white head. The aroma picked up fruity and caramel notes with light spicy accents. The flavor found sweet caramel at the core with fruity notes, some spices, and light oxidation around.. muddled finish. Light-medium bodied and tacky on the palate.. OK, but not the least bit exciting.
3.0Pours deeper copper with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, toast and light floral. Taste is mild sweetness with some light bitterness, well balanced. Light bodied with a smooth and inoffensive finish.
3.0Pours a clear amber with 1 finger head with good retention and mild lacing. Aroma of biscuit, toasted malt and caramel. Mild sweetness with mild bitterness. thin to medium body with moderate carbonation. medium sweet finish. Nice drinkable beer.
3.512 ounce bottle. Some toffee and caramel and a bit of vanilla. Very drinkable overall.
3.4Draft at Rhinehaus, served in a pint glass. Pours a clear orange-gold color, near the darker end of the spectrum, with a small off-white ring and film for a head. Notes of toasted malts, leafy hops, sugars, and straw - there isn’t much to this. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Uinta has some of the most straightfoward offerings of any brewery that bottles and distributes widely - maybe it’s the 4% restriction? - and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. In this case, it works.
3.2Light amber color with a fluffy off white head that left sheets of lacing on the glass. Light grain and honey nose. Some sour dough bread notes with caramel and honey sweetness and a bit of earthy bitterness in the finish.
3.3Fort Myers, Fl. - Total Wine & More - 12 oz can. Slightly hazy, but mainly sparkling light copper pour. Clingy snow white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma has an odd meaty essence to it, not unpleasant, some nutty accents. Flavor has some brief Christmas spices, some date-like fruitiness, some ripening vegetables. Crisp mouthfeel.
3.0Draft. Dark Amber, thin head, clear. Malty, medium body, lots of carbonation.
2.7Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a mild bready maltmwith some whiffs of caramel. Flavor is typical vienna lager with no bitterness and a bready malt. This is probably a bit thinner than the average lager though. A bit watery but it does have a decnt malt presence.
3.2Dark amber to copper color. Modest, but stable ecru head. Grainy, malty, bready scents. Just a hint of herbal hops. Mostly malty flavors with toasted and caramel malt. Light sweetness lingers through to the end. Could use a touch more hopping, but nt a bad amber lager (something I’m usually not real keen on).
3.1Canned, golden amber, small head, biscuity clean malt flavor with light hops, clean lager
1.5Looks nice in a glass with the thick head and amber color but that is all it does. Typical lager aroma or lack there of and a taste that is maybe better than some lagers but still just another lager and then we look at the thin body even for a lager and the lack of one more percent ABV to make it at least not a LIGHT lager.... Just sad for winter and on Christmas too.... :(
2.8Can at the Gnarly Barley. Pours clear bright copper with a fizzy, bubbly off white head. Tastes like caramel and bready malt, corn, some citrus hops, and musky grains. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like corn, caramel and bready malt, musky grains, and some citrus hops.
2.7Winter lager.

3.4Aromas of graham crackers, lager yeast, caramel and brown sugar. Pours amber/copper with moderately heavy foam. Taste is brown sugar, lager yeast, subtle caramel, graham cracker malt, wet cardboard malt and some maple. Overall, bit of more body than a standard lager yet still lacking.
3.412oz can pours a slightly hazy Amber with a large khaki head. Aroma of caraml malt and bready dough yeast. Taste of dry doughy bread yeast, lightly sweet caramel malt, and light hop. Not bad for an Amber Lager.
2.6Can at home. Clear reddish amber pour with a rocky head - good looking. Toast, caramel, some malt. Palate is a little thin. Pretty average Vienna.
2.1Clear amber with quarter finger head. Light honey and caramel aroma. Bland and watery. Honey and wheat flavor. Boring.
3.112 oz can pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of vanilla, caramel and toast. Taste is sweet malts and some biscuit.
3.5Pours clear bronze with a dense soapy beige head. The aroma is bready with a bit of toast, lager roundedness and a touch of dry caramel. It has a fairly light crisp body with a mild amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with dry caramel, some spice, crackers and a hint of minerals. The finish is very short lasting with a hint of hops and mild fruit. Decent.
2.6Has a descent scent but pretty bland in the taste. Still drinkable in a pinch but wouldn’t seek out.
3.6Had this on from the tap in a pub. Pours nice dark amber good flavors not bitter very drinkable.
2.7Can from Chevy Chase Beer and Wine. Nose is skunk, hoppy. Taste is grassy, hoppy with caramel. It’s a bit boring though. Not much going on. Dry finish with slightly fruity notes.
1.7Hazy dark copper beer with a fine head of small white bubbles. Nose is watery and metallic. The taste is sharp and malty but watery with a metallic hint. Body is fluid. Generally a watery beer.
3.412 oz. bottle from Smith’s grocery in Park City, UT. Light corn and biscuit aroma with a slight sour tinge. Crystal clear amber with a light tan head. Nice lager malt taste with some winter spice flavor. A bit of honey sweetness and a light rye-like dryness to balance it out. A good light winter lager that won’t cause you to have a yard sale if you have a couple.
3.412 oz can poured. Pours a copper color with a foamy head. Wet, malty aroma. A lot of flavor for such a light, low abv lager. Doesn’t really come off as a winter beer, but a decent sessionable beer overall. Not bad.
