3.2 Really janked up can. Someone must have dropped it. The bottle shop owner didn’t charge me for it, which is good because I thought I already rated it. Good karma. Rich honey and lemon nose. Cloudy amber, headless. Much less prominent honey flavor, applecore. A surge of dandelion, sudden but neither strong nor distinct. Raw potato finish. Despite the can being compromised, there was still carbonation, soft and unseen. Sessionable and unique.
3.4 Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours golden, light fruit, toffee, sweet, sugary, some caramel.
3.7 Tap at Crafty Crow, Nottingham. Hazy gold. Film of white head. Ripe banana. Clove. Light toffee. Taste is light sweet, turning dry. Light chew on the palate, but feels clean. Finish is dry, with a light bitterness.
3.3 Muddy color thin layer of head. Taste of malt, slight bitterness with a nutty finish. Decent
2.8 Pours a murky, dark honey-golden color with a short-lived white head with a greenish hue. Green grape nose. Full mouthfeel that ends up feeling a little dry. Pickled corn that starts out mildly sweet but gets funky toward the finish.
3.1 Rated fr0m a can-full... p0ured int0 a glass, 0f c0urse. It had a slightly hazed yell0w b0dy with 0range tints, plenty 0f fast m0ving bubbles, and a m0dest (but sustained) creamy head. The ar0ma was faint - h0ney, grain, lem0n... kind 0f t0nicy. The flav0r, t00, was light - mildly sweet grain, a dash 0f lem0n, and a very mild earth and zest bitterness. I’m n0t really sure what the p0ppy added, but it’s n0t a bad warm weather (0r s0 I’m imagining, in this p0lar Chicag0 Winter) brew.
3.8 16 oz can into a Duvel tulip. Pours hazy but rich golden with a dense and creamy white head. Nose is fruity/lemoncit, Belgian yeast, Belgian hops. Taste is sweet, strongly peppery/spicy with very nice floral hops, dries out somewhat but not before the rush of sweetness ushers in strong vanilla and lemon. Strong carbonation gives great bite, yeast is itself delicious, and the meringue/Orval head is always appreciated. Clean, medium body with a slight tang. Refreshing; I want more of this for the summer, this one has zing!
3.5 Appearance: medium honey-gold, with tons of tiny brown specks floating, suspension-like, throughout; a short, quickly fading bubbly white head; the appearance does not inspire confidence. Aroma: sweet and a little spicy on the nose, with notes of honey, a hint of clove and yeast, and some definite poppy undertones. Taste: excellent--honey, light graham cracker, lemon zest, poppy seeds, dry grass, and hay. Finish: slight zingy tingle and lingering sweet yeast, with a hint of funk coming through. Notes: This actually tasted a bit like Grandma’s lemon poppy seed bread, one of my all time favorite treats. Refreshing and light palate. Quite good, except for the rather unappetizing appearance.
3.3 Serving: 16 oz. can from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a deep gold color with a small white head. The nose is very floral. The flavor has a light, malty sweetness to go with those floral hops. Light to medium body with a medium finish. I can’t say I got anything from the poppy seeds. Good brew for a hot day.
3.6 Visual: Consistent artwork with their other Baltic Porter, the can features a drawing of the yellow poppy flower. Pours translucent golden orange with a decent-sized lasting foamy head, lots of activity and lacing. Nose: sweet hoppy malts with some chamomile undertones Attack: very cream-to-fizzy mouthfeel, 5/10-sweetness Mid-palate: bitter yet clean poppy seed, honeyed malts, hints of PEACH, RED APPLE Finish: crisp bitter bite, mellow hops, light sweet-bitter tingly malty finish. Summary: Another good beer from Uncommon Brewers. This one is much lighter on the palate than the Baltic Porter and is balanced from start to finish, first sip to the last. Though not particularly complex or rich, it is quite drinkable.
2.6 16oz can from Bytemesis, Thanks dude. This one lingered in the can too long and got too shook up courtesy of UPS/FedEx still a decent beer definitely easy to drink.. light and tasty, I’d move the rating to Golden/Blonde personally.
3.8 Muddy Unfiltered Dark Yellow, Huge Head, Medium Lacing. Yeast and Poppy seeds Aroma. Belgian Yeast, toasted Poppy Seeds, Sweet Malt. If i did not read the label, I probably wouldn’t be able to put my finger about the poppy seeds. When you know it, it does taste like it. You Could actually see some poppy seeds floating in it. Watery thin body. Reminds me of watered down Saison. Well Hidden Alcohol, very refreshing for high ABV. I’ve enjoyed it, Rather Nice.Plus, it is Organic, so it is good for you. At least, that is what you can tell your wife.
3.0 Lys orange med let hvid skum, dufter af guldøl :), let sygelig gær smag, humle, parfumeret eftersmag Free Føroyar!!!
2.6 Thanks to Tim and Rachel for sharing! Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow from the can with little to no head or lacing. Aroma is Belgian yeast and associated wheat esters, banana. Taste malty sweetness with a touch of Belgian yeast in there. Meh.
1.8 Thanks Tim and Rachel, maybe.... Gold color no head. Taste like blue moon gone bad filtered through dirty pennies.
2.8 47 cl can @ home. Pours clear golden with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is citrus, spices, sugar, and yeast. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a slightly dry finish.
4.1 GOLDEN INDEED// very beautiful smell must be the yeast pours like a real belgin beer gorgeous// nice white head maybe off white more fruity aroma now// WHAT A FLAVOR// fruity hay like very smooth and refreshing damn// ORGANIC TOO WHAT A BREW
3.1 A bit plain and thin, but the flavour is definitely nice, with some lemon and grass. Quick finish, like this review.
4.1 16 oz can. Cloudy pale orange hue with a collapsing white head; leaves a little lace and a constant ring of foam. Aroma is peppery, clovey, floral. Taste is lightly sweet, savory and full of spices--clove is strong. The Belgian yeast used imparts most of the character in this brew; I’m not really sure what toasted poppy seeds even taste like--I suppose it’s a little nutty. Palate is a little thin, but this being a summer beer, that’s probably the brewer’s intention. Very, very tasty and well-crafted. I could see myself pounding down quite a few of these in the hot summer heat.
4.1 1 pint can from BrewDog. Hazy amber brown colour, not much head. Mild resin hop aromy. Light spicy flowery yeasty flavour. Smooth with yeasty aftertaste. Quite light & refreshing. Good one.
3.1 16 oz can courtesy of bvc. The pour is a hazed golden orange, with a noisy two inch egg white head that falls loosely with spotty lacing. The aroma is straw, an herbal, round sweet floral, and a bit of a unique nuttiness. The taste starts big with the sweet floral, an unsweetened honey element, the straw from the nose, and then the nuttiness is present in the lingering finish. The herbal medicinal along with the sweet floral is the big part of the flavor profile here. As the beer warms, the floral sweet turns closer to sugar sweet, detracting a bit. The palate is medium bodied, a low, almost flat carbonation level, though this is balanced by the pleasant unfiltered mouth feel. This was a weird beer, though certainly unique. Thanks Brandon.
2.6 Old can in the discount bin... It is a shadow of what it probably was. Now a weak stale-malt tasting golden.
2.9 Draft at East of Everywhere (1-Feb-13) Light sweet fruity aroma. Hazy amber colour, decent white head and spider suds lacing. Sweet candy fruit hop yeast spice flavour. Finish is a bit of a clumsy sweet fruit medium bitter herbal hop and candy sweet fruit aftertaste. Can’t quite put my finger on what went wrong,... perhaps a bit too sweet, that destroys the balance.
2.6 16-oz can. Pours a clear medium gold with a loose white head. Big artificial powdered sugar nose. Sticky medium body with little carb. Reedy caramel and powdered sugar mid palate. Long sticky sweet finish.
3.6 Pours hazy golden-orange with a thin white head. Aroma of pronounced fruit and yeast, reminiscent of a wit, but sweeter and maltier. Flavor, likewise, has those prominent yeast characteristics: fruity esters, some banana, a hint of spice. All very smooth and drinkable, with an almost creamy texture. Some mild medicinal/boozy notes on the finish detract from an otherwise quite pleasant beer.
3.3 16 fl oz can. Clear golden amber colour, white head that diminishes leaving alittle lacing and a fruity yeasty aroma. Initial light bitterness, sweetish malt caramel and fruity banana taste with slight poppy seed notes through to a tangy sourish dry bitter finish. Light to medium body and carbonation. Quite OK.
3.0 hazy gold pour with very little head. Sour, fruity yeasty aroma. Taste is slightly sour, fruity and malty, some spice.
2.3 Can with Carla. Pours a clear orange yellow with no foam. Smells sweet of barley and maybe some honey. Tastes super sweet with hints of belgian yeast, honey, peanutbutter and two-row barley.
3.8 draught@Erzbierschof - hazy orange beer with no head retention; aroma of raisins and sour cherries; notes of tea; pretty sour, mediumbodied, juicy and tasty; long sourish and fruity finish with more notes of grapes and apples - very nice one !
3.1 Can from Brewdog. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, yeast and spices, typical belgian.Taste is sweetish, sugars and fruits, light sticky and syrupy mouthfeel. Light hoppy and alcohol at the end.
