3.8 12 oz bottle. Hazy yellow color with a soapy white head. A very sweet green apple smell with white cracker. Yeast, mellow citrus, juicy apples. Significant visible carbonation. Dry, crisp, and bubbly. Champagne characteristics.
4.2 Gift from a volleyball friend, thank you Caroline. I was eager to try this reknown beer, I was surprise how good it was throughout the entire drink. Well done.
3.0 Definite apple aroma in a straw pour. Definitely different flavour profile - but maybe one that’d appeal to a cider drinker more than it does to this beer lover. Not a fan...
4.0 25.4floz (750ml) bottle (BBD: 12.09.2017) that I bought for the discounted price of $3. Poured into a large snifter glass. It appears medium-yellow in color, and has a thin, retentive off-white head. Aroma is a great combination of straw from the wheat, and apple from the added fruit. It has been a long time since I’ve had this beer, and it has held up well from what I thought of it then. Lightish in body, low bitterness, fair carbonation, and finishes dry on the palate. Mostly grainy in flavor with gentle overlay of apple make for a good occasional beer. Yet, due to everyday tastes, limited store availability, and cost for what it is relegates this beer to having once a decade or so.
3.5 LCBO bottle: slightly hazy orange and gold beer with a white head that disappears along with its lace. Lively carbonation. Aromas of grain, citrus, apple and hops. Taste is delightful as far as fruit beer goes. Bright flavours of sour apple, wheat and funk. Light and crisp finish. Delicious.
3.7 Draft at Epcot. Pours hazy gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like wheat, banana, light clove, some bubblegum, and some orange. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like wheat, banana, light clove, some bubblegum, and some orange.
2.8 Bottled. Best by 07/28/17. Pours clear honey color, white head. Aroma is lots of apple, sweet granny smith apples, mild Belgian undertones. Flavor is wheat, clove, plenty of apple, light Belgian spices and esters. It’s fine. Very carbonated. Too much.
1.5 Aroma: chemical apple flavour, wheat ; Taste: very sweet, no bitterness, light acidity ; Palate: medium to light body, lively, sweet finish. I could not finish it, I didn’t like it at all
3.3 Unibroue disappoints rarely. This one is just a notch below the others. Poured into a chalice glass. It is a hazy yellow with a persistent finely-bubbled white top. It smells floral and fruity. The taste is mild, apples and peaches with a nice sweetness. An easy drink. I like more challenge in a brew.
3.9 unibroue has changed my thoughts on fruit beer this one has a fine apple taste could drink it all day
3.4 Pours an amber from a bottle. Nice apple aroma follows through in the flavor along with some nice yeast and barnyard notes. Good beer.
3.9 BB backlog, This used to be one of our go to Belgian beers back in the day. Bottles and drafts, this was on tap at PJ’s Pour House with John and Mike. Pours hazy yellow golden with a large head. Crisp carbonation. Smell and taste are granny smith apples, candy, light malt, and other sour fruit skins. Medium bodied. Really enjoyable fruit beer from Unibroue
3.2 Poured from bottle..pours cloudy gold...nose is apples bananas funk...mouth is sour apples...not a sweet beer but a tad sour or tart.
3.4 Draft. Aroma of apples, some hops, plenty of fruit. Peach? The taste is refreshing and doesn’t have too much apple. Very enjoyable.
3.0 Bottle from the LCBO in Kitchener Canada. Blonde hazy color. Thick soapy almost creamy head. Aroma of yeast, banana, vanilla. Taste mirrors plus green apple. Good.
2.8 Bottle. It poured a straw gold color with a big frothy white head that quickly dissipated to a nice rention covering. Green apple aroma with some sense of artificial candy flavoring. It has a dry finish but not sweet like cider.
3.8 I am not normally a fan of friut beers but this was pretty darn good. First off, the aroma was of green apples, so much so it reminded of apple jolly ranchers. Although it was nice it borders on artificial. The body was a deep, murky hazy yellow, with a light brown tinge, a mid sized head with plenty of carbonation. The flavors of wheat and hints of spice and coriander, the apples show up in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel was a little light but it was well balanced. Originally rated on 11/11/08.
3.8 I’m not usually a fruit beer guy but this beer was done right. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is ganny smith apples and honey. Great balance of wheat and apple. Really enjoyed this beer.
3.4 bottle. Pours hazy golden with fizzy head. Yeast, spices, and granny smith apple are all prominent. Bubbly. Interesting and refreshing.
3.8 341ml bottle. Pours a deep golden colour with half of finger lasting head. No lacing. Aromas of apples, honey, and a hint of bananas. High carbonation takes over in the beginning which leads to a fruity finish. Mildly spicy aftertaste. Recommended.
3.2 Pours darker than your standard white ale. Aroma of apple pie, bread, clove. Flavour is a nice balance of beautiful soft wheat beer flavours with a bite of apple. Nice quaffer.
3.7 Pleasant apple aroma. The body is a hazy yellow amber with soda bubbly head that thins quickly. Has sweet tart apple taste with a hint of maltiness. Has a apple cider like dry finish. As close to an apple beer without being a cider as I’ve tasted.
3.0 Pours a burnt orange color with lots of sediment and a white head. Coriander, wheat and apple aroma. Coriander, apple juice, wheat, and light spice flavors. Light body and lively carbonation. Coriander and apple finish. Tons or coriander and the apple taste a bit artificial. Bottle from at least a year ago.
3.3 Part of the Unibroue Semoliers Pack Smells very potently of apples over a Belgian Dubble. Pours a light gold colour. Head disappears quickly. Taste is that of a Belgian Dubble, with a hint of apple, Not overpowering. Good amount of carbonation. No aftertaste. I had left this beer for last as I wasn’t too sure on an apple beer. But I was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn’t buy a 6 pack, but if it was park of the Mixer pack again, I wouldn’t turn it down.
2.5 Fuck no. This is dreadful. Pours a hazy dark gold with small white head. Aroma is of straw, wine, and big dank. Tastes of fake green apple, wheat, and bubblegum. Has a dry finish and medium body. Very Jolly Rancher like in a bad way.
3.4 I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a cloudy orange color with a big white head and lacing. The aroma is apples, banana, and yeast. The taste is green apples, Belgian yeast, and lemon. There?s a nice balance of sweet and sour. This is a pretty good summer beer.
3.7 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange color with white head. Yeasty, green apple, slight straw aromas. Apple, fruity, yeasty flavors. Good mixture of belgian beer and fruit beer. Tasty.
