3.7Bedankt – Kraddel – 33 cl. fles gedeeld.
3.3blonde, almost no foam. smells sweet, tastes ok, but somehow aged to me ( maybe the year in the fridge? ) wich is very unique for this type of beer, yet i still dont love it or wont buy it again...
3.1Bottle @ Christers. Gusher, pours light golden with a white head, lots of floaties. Aroma is malt, yeast, sweet fruit. Flavor is malt, yeast, honey, sweet fruit, booze. Medium body, lively carbonation, warming alcohol in the finish. 231012
3.2Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Hazy golden with a white head and lots of tiny floaties. Flavor is sweet, malty, fruity and yeasty. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 231012
3.2Bottle, 9%. Dark yellow with lots of floaties and small white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, phenols, fruit and spices. Flavour is malt, yeast, fruit, orange peel, spices, medium sweet, fruit with notes of alcohol.
3.3Pretty average tripel, but enjoyable. Orange peel, spice, Belgian yeast, apple cider. Overall mild.
3.9Bottle. Hazy golden color, bottle overflowed when opened. No biggie. Smells sweet. Very smooth on the palate, nice! Tastes sweet and a bit fruity (i.e. a more ’complex’ sweetness). Some alcohol burn. Feels a bit like a mellower Samaranth. Perhaps I am only connecting these two due to the brewery. Anyway, an enjoyable beer. Good thing I drank it quite cold, hiding the alcohol burn a bit I bet.
3.733 cl bottle @ hotel room, Brussels. Rated on 19.07.2010
Aroma is sweetish with lots of wheat, some yeast and ripe fruits. Flavour has fruits, some apricot, yeasty notes and some alcohol. A bit too boozy but good still.
3.8From notes, at Bar Volo. Clear yellow colour w/. nice foamy head and some lace. Nice hoppy sweet aroma, refreshing hop bitter.

3.8Nice beer right to style. Pours a bit cloudy and darker than expected almost brown. Sweet apple nose. Smooth yeasty applely medium bodied
3.7Pours a hazy amber with a thin head. The aroma is very fruity with sweet and sour notes along with some Belgian spices and a hint of booze. the flavor is also fruity and a bit of the booze warms the throat. There is also a bit of pepper and a nice bitter feel to it. Medium bodied and very refreshing.
3.8Bottle at Saraveza, pours a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma of tart fruits, stone fruits, Belgian yeast. Flavour is both tart and sweet, with over-ripe fruits, light Belgian yeast and more of the over-ripe fruits. Very atypical for a tripel, much sweeter and slightly tarter. Excellent, despite its unorthodoxy.
3.6Gold pour with a white head. Nose is green apples, dried fruits, alcohol, belgian yeast, and sweet. Easy palate, heavy green apples, sweet, honey, dried fruits, and a smooth finish.
3.5Serious gusher, somewhere between blonde and amber, hazy with quickly disappearing foam.
Nose of subdued hops (maybe because it wasn’t cold enough), slightly fruity, a little sweet.
Taste of grains and quite some alcoholic warmth, bitterness but not too strong, almost a hint of honey in there. Apart from the alcohol not such a strong taste but nice overall. Smooth aftertaste, lingering afterglow and a mix of hops and again that grainy character. A slight, delicate bitterness adds complexity.
This was a pleasant surprise for me, nicely balanced; not overly complex but it has an evolving, rounded taste.
3.9Bottle. Moderate grain and caramel for the malt, light lemon for the hops, moderate dough for the yeast, with ripe pear, white wine, honey and a hint of clove in the background. Head is small, fizzy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is hazy medium amber. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a carbonation between soft and lively and has a heavily alcoholic finish. There is a nice transition between all the flavors in this Tripel, this is a fantastic beer.
3.9750 ml bottle into chalice, 07/08 dating on the cork. Pours a very cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Thin wisps of lacing on the glass, with slight carbonation streaming up from the bottom. Aromas of big apricot, lemon, bread, pear, pepper, earth, herbal, grape, apple, honey, floral, and white wine funkiness. Some pretty nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of big grape, apple, apricot, pepper, herbal, earth, bread, orange, grass, candi sugar, honey, and slight white wine tanginess. Very nice balance of flavors, with good complexity. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly slick and creamy mouthfeel as expected. Alcohol is very well hidden at 9% with only a slight warming after the finish. Very easy to sip on. Overall this is a very nice Tripel! Age definitely took some of the traditional peppery flavor from this; but it was still nicely balanced and very smooth. Too bad they discontinued this one, I would really like to try this fresh.
3.8Bottle pours a hazy golden with a white head. Scent is fruit and booze. Taste is spice, yeast and malty.
3.7Brown 33cl bottle, best before 07-2011, drank 02-2010, poured, including whatever was at the base of the bottle, into my Westmalle chalice.
A dull orange body, which was misty and murky filled the chalice, a clean, fairly thick, white head sat on top, the head soon fell to a thinner wispy covering with a lacing collar. Hunks of sediment could clearly be seen gambling through the cloudy body of the beer.
Belgian yeast esters could be sniffed, along with the sweeter end of the citrus fruits (oranges and pink grapefruits).
The taste was a heavenly mix of flavours, the aforementioned citrus fruits, Cloves? Cinnamon? and a sweetness that isn’t pushy like some Belgian beers, sugar is however listed as an ingrediant.
The body tries to counter the heavy alcohol and almost manages to hide it, but fails, so the 9% ABV rears its head mid-way through the mouthfeel, getting stronger as the mouth dries.
This is very drinkable, the alcohol is evident, but the whole package seems to cope well with it, sadly I don’t have another to follow this one (but I do have two more beers from this brewery to review, maybe even tonight).

Pours amber color with medium head. Aroma of spices, caramel malts, hoppy fruits and grass. Flavor of malts, fruits, spices and mild yeast notes.
3.2Big front nose of fruit - apricots and whatnot, and yeast. Orange peel hue, persistent head and pretty active. Sweet, sugary taste with an almost rummy backend, which is the only hint as to the strength. Medium body, minor zest. Another big one from the Belgian tradition. Not too big tough.

3.833cl bottle, a bit of a gusher... Cloudy dark gold. Apricot, spice and boiled sweets on the nose, dry and peppery yet fruity body, a bit yeasty (surprise!), dry finish with a little honey and apricot.
4.0aroma, fruit nose, yeast, old maltness, all crecends into balance
color, amber, white foam, head is active,
taste, sweet fruits, some like banana and tropical, malty backend
overall had 25.5 ozer, bottle, nice artwork, very good triple, mellow not overpowering with the yeast!
4.6cooked vegetables, basement aromas, citrus, chocolate, caramel, rotten eggs, smoke, brown, cloudy, white foam, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, heavily sour, umami, full body, sticky, oily feel, average carbonation, long finish,
2.6Bit of a gusher so ends up with lots of residue in the glass and almost no fizz. Aroma quite yeasty. Flavour is a bit unrefined. The bread dough taste overpowers the light sweetness.
3.6come tripla merita molto, aroma non molto forte, gusto che presenta sempre note speziate, finale altrettanto amaro e speziato..unico difetto:la schiuma quasi assente!
3.5Draught:
Had this one many years ago and found some old notes that I updated and spiced up a bit.
Off white head and a hazy orange colored beer.
Smell sweet as in fruits and malts/barleys.
Taste is more bitter than expected still some sweet grains, yeast and some hops and dough.
Another beer from Urthel that I thought was pretty decent.
3.4Golden, slightly hazy and a very good head. Typical Belgian tripel taste with that spice and yeast funk. Nothing stands out - just a solid Belgian.
4.0Bottle. Dark golden colour with a white, fluffy head. Aroma of citrus and fruits and some alcohol and belgian yeast. Full flavour, starts of sweetsourish of lemon, ends like red wine. Alcohol detected in flavour as well as some spices. Full bodied flavour.. great tripel, great brew..
