V chuti lehce sladovost, kává a pražený slad, bohužel ne dobře vyváženo. Pěna slabá, rychle se vytrácející. Na Belgii člověk čeká více. I tak ale díky za zkušenost.
2.1Aromat anyżowy, apteczny, karmelowy, cukrowy. Kolor czarny brąz. Piana wysoka szybko opada do pierscienia. W smaku slodkie karmelowe miodowe slodowe przyprawy korzenne slodka kawa. W odczuciu nieco mdłe. Niczym nie zachwyca.

Nytral lett frisk lukt med preg av mrk malt, humle, gras, kakao, litt lakris. Lett beisk smak med preg av mrk malt, humle, nitrogen, sur kaffi, beiskt gras, umoden banan, gjr, sjokolade, karamell, lakris. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Grei.
3.0Bottle. Pours dark chestnut with off white frothy head. Aroma is dark chocolate, little coffee, dark caramel, winey - dark grapes aromas. Flavour is smooth chocolate, dark caramel, alcohol. High carbonation. Thin, but good.
2.0Belgische stout hmmm.
3.6Black color with a medium white head, aroma of chocolate, coffee and belgian yeast, light sweetness, lightly bitter, medium body, ok.
3.7330ml bottle from De Garre, Bruges (€4.50):
Quite a strong beer at points but still not as overpowering as some imperial stout thanks to the good balance & the nice sweetness coming through from the chocolate, dark fruits & even a little caramel malt. It was drinkable with a smooth feel & good complexity as well. An interesting beer that I'm glad I managed to try, although there are definitely better imperial stouts out there to be had.
3.3Bit disappointed with this one. The body is a bit thin and the head disappears pretty quickly. Taste is roasty malts, bit of sweetness. Okay, but nothing special
3.8Donkerbruin met romige off-white schuimkraag die langzaam inzakt. Donker fruit, dadels, rozijnen, kandijsuiker, beetje koffie en chocolade. Redelijk zoete stout, zacht van smaak. Milde bitter in de afdronk. Goed te doen.
3.4The beer has got a deep black colour with a small head and smooth body. Aroma of chocolate and dark bread. Taste of malt, roast, coffee and dark chocolate. Smooth finish.
2.615-05-2018; bottle; at home (bought at an unknown location).
The looks of the beer are fine. It isn't the best looking Imperial Stout I've seen. The beer is a bit lighter than most beers. The color is a relatively light ruby reddish brown. The beer seems clear. On top of the beer there is a nice light brown layer of foam. Foam retention is average. A thin drape is left after a while.
The smell of the beer also doesn't really say Stout to me. I smell some meaty yeast...some simple malts and that is pretty much it. The smell is simple, mild and it misses everything that differs a Stout. Not to great.
The taste of the beer is a bit better. There is a bittersweet maltiness. There is a smoky roasty touch, but hardly there. Bitter hops are also present. Meaty heavy yeast is also there. It is unbalanced and misses everything a Stout needs. This beer is definitely not a Imperial Stout.
The palate of the beer is also not my jam. Medium body, sticky texture and medium carbonation. The finish of the beer is short. It has some roasts, but lots of meaty yeast and bitter hops. It is short, a bit dry and not to nice. All in all, a bit of a disappointment. This beer misses al the assence of a Imperial Stout. I expected way better.
3.4Pirkts Beļģijā. Vienkars viegls ķermenis. Apiņus praktiski nejūt. Diezgan gazets.
3.7330 ml bottle from Beers of Europe,bb 04/10/2019.
Very dark brown/black.
Nose - dark and dried fruits.
Taste - sweet, dark fruits - mostly cherries - plus prunes and some stewed fruit.
Mildly bitter aftertaste.
Whoever calls it stout has no idea what stout is or should be. This one hovers in proximity to dubel/tripel but lacks prickly carbo I love. Drinkable anyway.
3.4Keg at Little Delirium, Brussels. Pours very dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is creamy, fruity vanilla roast. Taste has fruity roast throughout with a yeasty finish.
3.5Dark brown clear.
Fruity, roasted, dried cherries, prunes.
Sweet, light sourness.
Some vinous and spicy alcoholic notes in the flavour.
Good.
3.7Bottle. Pours almost black with a beige head. Short head retention and very little lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, and malt but also heavy raisin, plum and yeast aroma. Sweet with a light bitternes. Medium heavy mouthfeel. Almost sits somewhere between a quad and a stout.
2.7Not much to say, confused the aroma, dark brown with a thin head, medium body, quite flat, sugar and intense sweetness...not fo me.
Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso y gas. Normal.
3.7Bottled. Hazy deep brown colour. Well-lacing capuccino-coloured head. Stays. Aroma: caramel, toffee, toast, fruit esters, Belgian yeast, a touch of nail polish. Medium body. The taste follows the nose with the exception of minor roastiness present. Medium sweet. Warming. Low to light bitterness. Stout? No way. Just a middle-of-the-road BSDA with a minor roast nuance.
3.4Bottle at home. Brown, some red, color. Beige/brown head. The taste is a little soft compared to the abv of 9%. For an imperial stout I expected more taste.
3.9bottle @ home
dark brown, brown head
milk chocolate, cream, caramel, roasted malts, light smoky
sweet malts, milk chocolate, light bitter, creamy, raisins, balanced roasted malts
4.0.
2.8Best before date: 28/08/12. strong malty aroma, notes of chocolate. black in color with fast fading head. taste is malty, faint chocolate and raisin. fast fading taste. possibly from age? smooth and clean finish
3.8A: Reddish black with a large, off-white head
N: Dark roasted malts. Some fruit.
T: Dark roast malt and coffee. Molasses. Plums. Excellent complexity.
P: Full.
O: Great stout.
3.8one of underrated beers. dark brown with medium tan head. average retention. smells caramel, dark fruits and chocolate. taste is overly sweet and fruity for an stout. roasted malt, tons of candied sugars and overly fruity notes. med-full bodied, moderate carbonation. dry and slight sour finish. I accept it as a strong belgian ale.
3.7Bottle 33.
3.3Medium brown color. Off white head. Big Belgian yeasty nose with a bit of winey character. Thin body for the style not super balanced. Despite how bad it looks for the style and how thin it tastes, it’s not that bad.
