Vedett Extra Ordinary IPA

Vedett Extra Ordinary IPA

Bottle: Unfiltered

The inventors of Indian Pale Ale may have originally added extra hops to help it survive the long voyage to India. But we just do it for the taste! Every drop as thirst-quenching as the last, Vedett IPA offers an explosion of flavoursome bitterness that increases with intensity towards the finish, tempered by an unparalleled velvety smoothness resulting in a very accessible taste. Fresh, fruity and floral notes give way to touches of caramel sweetness, while its superb, lingering aftertaste continues to tantalise the tastebuds long after. Here’s to a great-tasting, refreshing beer!

3.7 Slightly hazy pale gold with a frothy white head and a yeasty, fruity and flroal aroma. Drinks like a Saison, with an earthy, yeasty character to it, then a nice fruity bitterness comes in towards the finish
3.5 Bottle at Manola III, Brussels on 4th February 2022. Hazy, deep amber with shallow, loose white foam and full lacing. Spicy citrus aroma. Citrus and pungent spices in-mouth followed by a dry, grassy and somewhat peppery finish. Medium bodied with an engaging texture.
3.5 (bottle 0,33l from topvino.cz online shop) Overall: Good belgian IPA. Aroma: Fruity, peach, sweet, candy-like. Appearance: Clear golden. Persistent white head. Taste: Medium sweet, spicy, citrusy hops, light bitter. Palate: Medium body. Bitter, light harsh finish.
3.4 Can left in the Airbnb in Brussels. West coast hops pushed forward here. Quite sweet in aroma and ending, despite butch bitterness. It all works quite well. Not sure whether this needs to be classified as "belgian" IPA.
3.4 330ml bottle from a Sitis market in Reims, drinking 5/10/2021 BB 02.2022 Pours a slightly hazy orangy dark golden body with good amount of fluffy white foam on top and good lacing. Aroma of malt, kind of sweetish, really fruity, citrusy, grapefruit, orange zest, tropical fruits, yeasty and floral hoppy. Taste is moderately sweet with malt and caramel, quite fruity with again citrusy and grapefruit notes, orange zest, apricot, tropical fruit, spices and a good floral and bitter hoppy finish that i quite like. Medium body and oily texture, average carbonation. Very tasty and enjoyable IPA, balanced and not too boozy but fruity and hoppy.
Cuerpo medio. Rica

3.1 Bottle from Wolter's Grevenmacher, Luxembourg Pours: hazy golden orange with a high, soapy head Nose: yeast, citrussy hops Taste: very fruity, citrus and grapefruit, some passion fruit Finish: long lasting bitter hops, very grapefruit'ish
4.5 Pleasantly but notably bitter with a lot of fresh flowery scents
4.7 Bonne IPA classique
3.8 0.33l bottle. Golden body with a moderate white head. Huge orange zest notes in the aroma and taste with some coriander, dark sugar syrup, apricot and some grapefruit. Good one.
4.0 IPA com amargor equilibrado e refrescante. Uma das melhores que já provei.
3.4 33 cl bottle poured into a Tulip. Clear amber golden colour with a creamy off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, yeasts, floral hoppy notes and a slightly spiced hint. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Drying fruity finish. Fine Belgian IPA.
3.3 Bottle 0.33L Clear golden-to-amber body with an average, frothy, white head, mostly dominishing with some lacing, though; low density of tiny bubbles. Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (flowers, citrus) and light malty (caramel) aroma with notes of fruits (apple, apricot). Moderate bitter and light-to-moderate sweet flavour; average-lasting bitter finish. Light-to-medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.
Aroma a malta y ligeramente especiado. Sabor dulce muy plano sin ninguna complejidad.
3.3 Peu de goût
3.4 Golden pour with little retention. Aroma yeast and bread dough. Taste; big yeast hit, bitter but a slight sweetness from the Barley. Not a bad beer, very yeasty, not the best of the Vedett brews mind.
3.7 Pours unfiltered amber with a lasting white head. Good lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and biscuit malt, candied sugar, banana, clove, orange peel and some spice. Soft carbonation and satisfying mouthfeel. Taste is biscuit malts, candied sugar and banana from the yeast, spices, white pepper, orange peel and apricot. Finishes with a light to medium dry bitterness. Nice lingering yeast and hop notes. Lovely.
3.2 Bottle from the Beer52 Belgian selection. Refreshing golden IPA with orange and banana notes in the taste.
3.8 Nice standard Belgian IPA
3.5 Pours golden with a slight haze. Aroma of smoke, spices and bannana. Taste dominanted by malt on the front end which is followed by subtle spices on the back end with a clean finish.
3.2 From Beer52 had at home in April 21, 330ml bottle 5.5% OK. IpA.
3.9 Bottle frm Beer 52. Typical Belgian aroma of banana with some yeast and orange peel. Pours a golden yellow with a strong foamy white head and good lacing. In the mouth there is a very brief malty sweetness before a plethora of hops kick in (mainly old school but some citrus). Hints of spices and ginger as well. Finish is bitter but with juicy undertones. Very good but difficult to categorise.
3.4 Orange aroma and flavour with a bit of banana yeastiness. Creamy apricot mouthfeel, good stuff, attractive gold pour and pillowy head.
