Verdant Headband

Verdant Headband

Glowing orange colour. A beautifully balanced beer where the Pale, crystal and Munich malts really help amplify the hops juicy qualities. Layers of flavour: tropical fruit, citrus fruit, stinky cheese, caramel - all working together. Bitter and sweet. Lush.

Malt: Best Ale, Extra Pale Ale, Munich, Oats, Carapils, Crystal 150
Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Columbus, Chinook
Yeast: LalBrew New England

3.2 Burk från Kihoskh. Orangegul med vitt skum. Lite avslagen. Lite fadd i smaken.
3.9 A very smooth, easy light IPA, with lots of fruit, hoppy flavours and smooth. Lovely.
4.3 molto interessante da riprendere schiuma molto generosa - fare attenzione a versarla. Residui in fondo alla lattina che non mi aspettavo. Palato pieno e setosissimo. Saporita molto - siamo ai livelli di buxton - da riprovare
3.6 Tap, Lajbah. Pretty hazy golden, large offwhite head, lasting. Gentle fruity nose, quite shy. Gentle bitterness, slight citruses and mild peppery finish. Light body. Gentle aftertaste.

3.8 Can from my local off-licence ‘Wine Rack’. Pours a hazy muddy orange colour with a large bubbly off-white head. Aromas of citrus and tropical notes, citrus pith, some caramel, earthy hop and peppery spice. Taste is quite leafy, orange, apricot, peach notes with more earthy hop, peppery spice and some pithy bitterness on the palate. Thinnish body with fair carbonation. it’s quite nice but the few other beers I’ve tried from Verdant were better.
3.0 On tap at Ebenezers, Nantwich. Pours a murky golden orange with an “ice cream” style white head. There’s a slight citrus aroma, but not much. In the mouth there is initially tropical fruits (mango, pineapple) which fade to bitter chunky marmalade. The finish is bitter lemon, but thankfully not too much. Not really my kind of beer, but I quite liked it.
3.7 Cloudy appearance and a big head that took time to dissipate. Some fruitiness that took time to dissipate. Slightly dry but nothing to really write home about. A new brewery and one I have previously ignored as a brewery that is over expensive and highly hyped. This beer hasn't changed that opinion. A new brewery for me.

4.1 Can@home, from Kultainen Apina, Tampere, Finland. Medium, fresh and balanced nuances of fresh apricot, some citrus, pine. Averagely/highly hopped with clear hop profile. A hint of light malts. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with bit hoppy, fresh fruits. Medium, juicy body with medium carbonation. Overall, great product that is more US like than GB. Fresh and organic. Could have a bit more malt nuances. 8 3 8 4 18
