Verzet Kameradski Balsamico

Verzet Kameradski Balsamico

Kameradski Balsamico is a hybrid of Russian Imperial Stout and Oud Bruin. Opposite attract. This sweet sour marriage combines the viscosity and robustness of a Russian Imperial Stout with the winy delicacy of Italian Balsamic Vinegar. Tasting this beer is like a Soviet bombardment on your senses that throws you from Moscow to Modena and back, to find balance somewhere in the mddle. The aroma reveals chocolate, raisins and Syrup de Liège, with a sense of port wine. The thick, sweet start creates the expectations of an antitussive that pampers the throat. The tantalizing sourness when you swallow, though, crushes that expectation immediately, so you have to start all over again. Comrades, unite and drink this oil of brotherhood!

4.0 Bottle shared by Leighton at SHIG Crashes the Bottle Share at Hazlemere: Poured a deep black brown with a light brown head. Aroma is barrel, boozy, funky cheesy, fruity. Taste is roasted malts, cheesy, dark fruits, port.
3.9 Bottle split at the Hazlemere Movember and chops tasting, thanks to LKS12/11/21. Black with a good sized tan covering. Nose is tarte dried berry fruits, funk, dark fruit balsams, spice, herb. Taste comprises dark fruit balsams, spice, charr, dried fruits, dark fruit rinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost with an acidic bite. Decent.
3.8 Bottle shared in Hazlemere - picked up from an online shop, I think Beergium. Medium sweet, some honey, tangy balsamic, dark malts, old wood. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly warming, dark malts, more honey and sweet balsamic. Novel.
3.9 Bottle shared at high Wycombe tasting. Thanks to Leighton for this one. A dark black brown coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Spicy blackcurrant, jammy port, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of light tart. Plastic, jammy fruit, port, dried fruit, light spicy vinegar.
4.1 Pours very dark brown, near black with a beige head that quickly dissipates to leave a thin line. Complex aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits, balsamic vinegar. Interesting balance of flavours black cherries and rich malt with some sourness and that hint of balsamic. Vinous mouthfeel. Good stuff.
4.4 Wow, what a beer! Opaque dark brown with a reddish tone. A moderate warm tan head. Aroma: Malty aroma (tobacco, chokolate) is there but clearly dominated by lots of dark berry aromas, cherries, black currants. Mouth: Vinous. Sour. Sweet. The vinegar reference i appropriate. Full body. Great.
3.8 Pours pitch black with light brown head. Lovely, special nose on sourish roasted malts, black cherries and balsamico vinegar. Same on the palate. Starts a little sweet, also some raisins, dark chocolate, ends slightly sour. Very nicely balanced. Very special too, in a good way.
5.0 Definetely one of the best beers of the world occupying it's own top well apart from all these great barrel aged monsters. Because it plays so masterfully with a tang of vinegar. The note is here to be enjoyed - and it is, immensely. It really belongs here, complimenting the whole boquet of hints and nuances, making the brew very complex and delicate.
4.0 Nose. bright vinegar, behind which something fruity-chocolate is barely perceptible. Taste. Rich. Soft dense oily body, sweet fruity notes, red wine, chocolate, light vinegar. This is delicious. But the scent is slightly rough.
3.9 Bottle. Reddish brown, beige head. Aroma of vinegar, plums, acetone, brown sugar. Sweet, tart, dark fruits, caramel, acetic, plums, chocolate, warming. Medium-full, bodied. Very good.
3.4 Bottled 330ml. -from Ambasada Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized brown head, red wine and acceto balsamico in the nose. Acceto balsamico, light caramel, notes of spices and evident alcohol with rather strong carbonation. Interesting yes; hard to drink also yes...
3.3 Black with a dark spritzy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of roast and coffee, red wine, sour cherries, funk. Taste... well... like an oud bruin with a lot of roasted grains. It's different. It's clearly made out of a very good oud bruin, and a very good RIS. I'm not sure the combination of those two styles is a great idea though. In this instance it seems that the whole is less than the sum of its parts
3.5 Alone at home. Dark brown colored beer with no head. Alcoholic malty aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is sour malty some roasted notes. It has a flavor that refers to balsamico vinegar.
4.1 Dark cream head, not large but consistent, over black beer. Lactic acid, acetic acid, oud bruin on steroids, and indeed balsamico. 'Mon Chéri' with a dash of lactic and acetic acids. And again balsamico vinegar. This is really a soured, liquidized version of cherry-kirsch pralines. Velvety feel, yet good carbonation, full bodied. Incense in the aftertaste. Remarkable, even when I prefer the Naked. I Thx to Stef! /I
3.7 Copenhagen 1/3 2021. 33 cl bottle from Den Belgiske Ølbutik. Chaotic label with the name written in pseudo Cyrillic letters, the head of a bearded Russian and a gallon of Oil. Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. Bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is intense with a strong sour odor mingling with a more subtle fermented sweet scent. Green, sour gooseberries, vinegar. Caramel and sweet chocolate peeking in. Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, sharp sourness. Aftertaste is sour but with a notable sweet undercurrent following through to the finish. Finish is sweet liqueur with sour sting. Interesting combination of sweet stout and sour vinegar. "Balsamico" is not a bad name for this.
3.7 Buona, particolare, intrigante.
3.8 Bottle from Biab. Oily Black with a moderate brown head. Nose is a bit funky, soy/vinegar/roast malt/something almost solvent-y. The flavor is great though: complex fruity dark sour notes, a bit of sweetness but well balanced by acidity and hop bitterness. Definitely a must-try for wild sour lovers. Not super smooth I must admit. Just be prepared for a Putin-defying blend of powerful flavors. The comparison to balsamico is not wrong. 💪😁👍
3.5 330ml bottle. Ratebeer euro swap. Thanks JefVerstraete! Poured dark brown in color. Port wine nose and aroma, fairly sweet. Full bodied. Marmalade. Some balsam vinegar notes perhaps. Surprisingly nice.
3.2 330ml bottle. A bit weird, slightly sweet and sourish with hints of roastiness, sherry and vinegar. Unbalanced.
3.7 (Bottle, 0.33 l, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20210123) The beer poured golden black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had wood, balsamic vinegar, berries, port wine and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were wood, burnt malts, balsamic vinegar, sweetness, tartness and bitterness. Aftertaste had tartness, vinegar and bitterness. Different but delicious.
3.2 Bottle at Ardes residence, Helsinki. Color is reddish brown with very small head. Aromas and flavors: Sugary jammy sweetness, red vineous elements... very strange but interesting!
5.0 La meilleur de tous
4.5 Weird and a little bit over the top. Nice tart and acidic flavors, some sweet and licorice, some vineous. Wild Mixtur. 21.12.21: Sensory Session #45: Jenns Birthday choice: deep Black color and a tan head. Old Balsamico as you open the bottle. Red berries and Black currant, acidic, vinous, and a good balance of sweet & sour
4.5 May 12, 2018: From a small bottle - a lucky find at Liberty on The Drive in Vancouver. A very dark beer with moderate tan head and a potent sour fruity nose. Tart and sour berry and mixed fruits are up front, with a lusciously smooth chocolate malt background. There are as well, hints of cocoa and dare I say balsamico? I could enjoy this rich and potent libation with vanilla ice cream. A tart dessert beer, perhaps? It's not subtle, but it IS good! Every once in a while I encounter a real ground breaker in the world of beer, and this is my latest! 4.5 Aug 30 2020: Again, a small bottle from Liberty Wine Merchants on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. Well chilled, not ice cold, a 3 ounce pour into a small snifter. Very dark, minimal tan head. The balsamico is right up front and center on the nose. No mistaking that concentrated grape must. Very high key on the nose, but subtly complex all the same. A 3 ounce pour is unusual, I know, but about right for this juggernaut of flavor. Strangely reminiscent of dark sweet cherries 🍒 go figure.
4.2 Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Bottle, 33cL. 12.5%. Kindly shared by Jybi @Niort with Sobi & Dobi ! A sparkling very dark brown beer with a medium beige foamy shining head ; good retention. Vinegar basalmic+ (strong when the few sips, less when the temperature got higher), black chocolate, fruity waves (red berries, cherry). Medium to heavy round sweet, gourmet, nearly fat, medium dry refreshing acid ; nice warming background. Good body, smooth texture, average to soft gaseous, round sweet chocolate acid finish. Overall, delicious !
3.7 Black color with tanned head. Aroma has vinegar, fruits. Taste is malty sweet with long quite sour aftertaste. Flavors of vinegar, dark malt, chocolate, sour fruits. A bit strange combo.
4.5 This is a fantastic sour/wild beer. Possibly the best I've ever tasted to date. Super strong though no alcohol burn. Red wine, sweet, sour, fruity, aged. Very nice indeed.
