Vicaris Winter 10°

Vicaris Winter heeft een roodbruine kleur met een mooi getinte schuimkraag en een vol veelzijdig smaakpallet. Het is gebrouwen met drie soorten mout en twee soorten hop. Het winterbier is het eerste Vicarisbier met kruiden en ideaal om van te genieten tijdens koude winteravonden. Vicaris Winter is enkel te verkrijgen van november t.e.m. maart (zolang de voorraad strekt).

4.7 2013 bottle cellared until 2019. Thanks to SimonTomlinson for this. Brown appearance. Aroma is sweet, hints of coffee, malt and cherries. Flavour is cherry, dark fruits, malt, sweet and roasted.

4.6 2013 bottle cellared until 2019. Creamy tan head stayed all the way in a dark brown still body. Huge aroma of malt, fruitcake, demerara, berry & dark spirits. Full bodied, velvet smooth on the palate & on the back. Heavy malt, demerara, coffee hints, fruit cake, rum & spice tastes.

3.7 È una discreta birra natalizia. Scura più o meno tonaca di frate, schiuma che svanisce presto. Aroma di malto, caramello, dark fruits. Al palato dolce con corpo rotondo, avvolgente. Leggermente speziata, risalta il caramello, liquirizia, frutta candita appena, carbonazione medio bassa. Alcol ben presente.

3.2 Thick brown head, long-lasting, dark brown colour, almost no see-through, aromas of dried stone fruits, coriander, malt, caramel, quite little taste compared to the aroma, notes of dark bread and raisins, not too sweet. Good beer, but not one to remember in particular.

1.5 Roodbruin kleurend bier met een ietwat van het witte af gekleurde schuimkraag. Het bier smaakt zoetig en licht pittig. Pittig van de 10% ABV en het kruidenpalet, en zoetig van de mouten en het suiker zoetje. Wat het bier voor mij in punten naar beneden brengt kan ik slecht onder woorden brengen, maar er zit een voor mij ondefinieerbaar sterk aroma in wat niet prettig is. (Mitra Xperience 2019)

3.5 75cl Bottle @ Belgiuminabox.com, Antwerpen, Belgium. Hazy dark brown colour with a medium size white head. Aroma is yeast, malt, chocolate. Taste is yeast, malt, caramel, chocolate, spices, hints of licorice. Full body, average carbonation.

4.3 Één van mijn favoriete winterbieren. Donkerbruin troebel bier met een mooie volle schuimkraag. De gebrande mout komt sterk naar boven, caramel, kruiden en vooral goed zoet.

3.1 Bruin bier met beige schuim dat vlug verdwijnt. Overwegend zoete neus, kandij, kruiden, steranijs. In de mond blijft het zoete aanhouden met een fijne bitterheid op de achtergrond, steranijs, kruidnagel, zoute drop en stevige alcohol die heel de tijd aanhoudt. Gelet de kandij en kruiden is dit ook een quadrupel te noemen. Mooi winterbier.

3.9 Аромат сложный и очень алкогольный, немного хлеба и дрожжей, также винные нотки с кофе. Цвет красивый, темно-янтарный с кремово-кофейной пенкой. Вкус весьма тяжелый на тело, сильная карбонизация. Вкус темные фрукты, хлебные нотки с дрожжами. При глотке ощущается сильная кислинка. Послевкусие с кофейной ноткой, снова винные нотки и много алкоголя. В целом неплохой и богатый на вкус эль, но алкоголь главный враг в этой бутылки.

3.5 Copenhagen 10/10 2018. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren from Hørning. Mini drawing of jumping black horse on the label. 2017-edition. Pours murky dark brown with big clumps of yeast whirling around. Medium-sized off-white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. lacing. Aroma is strong, sweet and metallic. Dark Chocolate, dark sweetened fruit, metallic alcohol and earthy, yeasty spicyness. Light carbonation. Medium thick, Soft, Velvety texture. Flavor is heavy sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with a small overweight to the bitter side. Lingers for a while. Sweet, Boozy Winter Beer.

4.1 Bottle. Cloudy. Deep brown. Tall dense head of beige colour. Aroma: fine candy, spicy yeast, dried pear, some bread and chocolate. Medium body. Taste: relatively dry. Fruity, bready, spicy, vinous, warming. Very good.

5.0 Labeled Vicaris Winter 2015. Pours opaque dark brown with. Cappuccino-colored head. Very intense sweet malty aroma, almost like liquor. Complex composition of malty sweetness, chocolate and coffee flavours and an underlying bitterness, thus not too sweet overall. This is one good brew.

Ogólnie fajne BDSA, aczkolwiek mało słodyczy i świąteczny charakter przypraw nieco nie pod mój gust - chciałbym wersję bez...

3.4 750 ml bottle from Belgoklubben. Copper colored with off white head. Malty with caramel and bisquits. A little butter and booze and licorice in finish.

3.9 Many thanks for this winter beer to tderoeck. Vicaris Kerst Vintage 2010, bottle 750ml. Fantastyczny zapach pieczonej gruszki z cynamonem, nalesniki z jablkami, cydr niefiltrowany, mnostwo jablek i tarty jablkowo-gruszkowej. Wyglad rubinowo-czerwony, ciemne, metne po nastepnym dolaniu, Piana srednia i srednio trwala, ale za to oblepia kielich. Przyprawy, galka muszkatolowa, nieco pieprzu czerwonego wyczulem sporo szarlotki, jablecznika itp. Fajne, rozgrzewajace alkohol doskonale ukryty, a moze zrobil przez te 8 lat co do niego nalezalo. Pite w temperaturze 10 stopni a nie jak jest zalecane (6-9) wraz z frytkami na sposob belgijski, ale samemu zrobione, smazone na naturalnym smalcu gesim, posypane ziolami prowansalskimi. 3.5 Mörkröd med fint beige skum. Doftar malt och lite sött. Smaken fyllig, maltig, chokladig och lite söt. Eftersmaken hyggligt lång och lite söt.

3.4 Bottle from Raisins Cassel. Short light brown head. Clear dark brown color. Big liqurish aroma with sweet caramell. Almost balanced body but to spicy liqurish for me.

3.0 Bottled at TEJA tasting. Deep mahogany colour, rich creamy head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and butter, some grain and marzipan. Licorice root dominate the finish.

3.6 2012 version. A deep dark ale with a thick frothy lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of dark fruits, coca cola, plums, alcohol warmth, faint licorice. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with light candy sugar, dark fruits, molasses, plums, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. BB 21/09/15, and still solid. Bièropholie imports.

3.9 Bottle from Dranken Geers. Christmas beer evening; shared with Anke! Labeled '2017'. Pours hazy dark brown/red with a big, frothy, tan head. The aroma contains licorice, brown sugar, red & dark fruits, yeast & spices. It tastes light to medium sugary sweet, quickly light to medium spicy bitter; bit dry, hoppy and alcoholic in the finish, well-balanced. Full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Generally within the expectations of a Christmas beer, but balance is key here. Well done, Dilewyns.
