Victory Donnybrook Stout

Victory Donnybrook Stout

The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

3.5 On tapat the Blind Tiger, Greenwich Village on 8th July 2026. Almost black with pale tan lacing foam. Roast malts with sweet caramel aroma. Roasty malts and lactic creaminess in-mouth. A cafė crême finish with a caramel foundation. Medium bodied, with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
3.7 Deep brown pour with classic nitro head. Aroma is coffee, crystal and toasted malt. Flavor is light coffee, hints of coffee, some toasted malts. Thin mouthfeel. Maybe the tastiest below-session beer I’ve ever had.
3.3 Tap at Sedona. Earthy, woody, thin, a light coffee. Thin and easy to drink.
3.5 Pours black with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, coffee, coco, caramel, sweet malts, and some light earthy hops. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a smooth, mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty, easy drinking dry stout by a tad too thin.
3.4 Draft. Listed at 3.6% This one is a drushable dry stout, far more robust than guiness but weaker in abv. Finally a guinness contender but this stuff seems draft only.
3.3 Draft at The Strand, Queens. Hazy tan nitro pour settling to black and nice creamy offsetting head. Sweet peaty malt, ok roast. Lighter body, clean and alright.
3.4 Nitro draft at brewery. Pours dark brown-black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor of roasted malts, mild coffee, faint chocolate and had some smokiness.
3.3 Serving: from (nitro) tap at Flying Squirrel Pizza Company. Aroma: light malt. Appearance: small, creamy, light-brown, initial head with excellent lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, cola-brown body. Taste: lightly sweet and roasty initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: medium bodied with watery texture and flat-to-soft carbonation. Overall: pretty good. Nice roasty flavor.
3.5 Draught @ Taproom307. Dark brown with small creamy beige head, faint coffee beans aroma, liw carbonation, thin body, sweetish mocha taste, medium finish. Very smooth and easy to drink.
3.4 On nitro at The Bistro in Old Line Beer and Wine in Beltsville, MD. Opaque, dark brown with a creamy 1-finger khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of lactose, mild roasted malt and nuts. Taste of sweet roasted malt, lactose, coffee, mild chocolate and a little smokiness. Medium/low carbonization low/medium carbonization.
4.0 Nitro draft. Black, perfect cream head. Huge roasted malt aroma with a nutty sweetness in the background. The taste follows with vanilla and hints of dark fruit. The mouthfeel is incredibly light and rich/creamy at the same time. (Nitro goodness). Guiness wishes they could do this. At 3.7% this is better than many of the big boy stouts!
3.4 Light & drinkable & perfect for breakfast this morning! Pours pretty but is lacking the in aroma department. A little dry as advertised but still refreshing w/ a great mouthfeel! Not bad!
3.0 OH LET ME TELL YOU I HAD TWO SIPS OF THIS BEERS AND I FELT A LITTLE BUZZ I CANT GET USE TO THE DARK BEERS EVE THOUH I CAN DRINK HOPPY BEERS ALL DAY LONG (LIKE (PLINY) ((ITS THE SIMPLY BEST BEER) ! BUT I CAN SEE DRINKING A STOUT LIKE THIS WITH CHEESE OR STEAKI WOULD EVEN SHARE IT WITH MY FREINDS NEXT TIME IM COOKING OUT. IT TASTE A LITTLE FRUIT AND SPICE WITH SOME DARK BEER. IT TASTE LIKE MILKE STOUT A LITTLE BUT NOT EXAXTLY . WHEN ITS SAINT PATTYS DAY (IM VERY IRISH) I WOULD TRY THIS TO.
3.1 On tap at WOB Arlington. Black with an average beige head. Aroma is of roasted malts and light coffee. Taste is of roasted malts, light ash, playdough, and a touch of coffee.
4.6 This is a really good beer. Dark appearance with a thin tan head. Plenty of lacings left on the glass. Tasste of chocolate and coffee. Light, yet flavorful. If you like Guinness, you’ll love this.
3.4 On tap, poured a clear deep brown hue w/ a medium creamy tan head. Moderate roasty malt aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are cereal, roasty malts, flap-jacks, and a light breakfast coffee. Light bodied and creamy mouthfeel.
3.1 Tap. Pours a dark brown with medium creamy beige head. Aroma is smoke and roast. Thin mouth with strong smoke and spice and a bit watery in finish.
3.4 Pours a black brown color with a large creamy canvas colored head. Notes of roasted malt, cookie crumb, dark chocolate, and earth. Mouthfeel is thin.
3.7 On nitro Black with thick foamy tan head; aroma is hoppy; Flava is mildy malty roasty; feels light to medium; finishes roasty slight chocolate notes
3.3 on tap at Two Rivers Brewing Company in Easton PA; nitro; black with a roasted malt aroma; very smooth and quite light; nice roasted malt flavor with mild coffee notesl velvety, silky mouthfeel
2.9 Pours incredibly like a Guinness but similarities ended there. Rather chewy palate and unbalanced finish. Almost unbalanced towards a hoppy taste. Rather disappointing offering from such a brewer as Victory.
2.7 On tap served in pint glass. Mild flavor to the point of blandness, far more interesting dry stouts are out there. Clean finish.
3.0 " fairly standard nitro dry stout - a little disappointing after several other styles had been well above average. thin bodied, with not enough dryness or smoke. chocolate and a little roasted malt present. skippable."
2.8 Sample at The Brew Kettle on 9/14/14. Darkest brown pour with a thick tan nitro head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and roast. Malty and chocolatey flavor with a very watery finish.
3.6 Draft. Nice dry light stout. Mild roasted and coffee, light finish, on nitro
3.3 On tap, nitro version. Dark brown almost black pour with frothy beige cascading head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Taste of roasted malts, faint chocolate and faint coffee. Light bodied, low nitro carbonation, thin watery mouthfeel, slightly dry finish.
3.9 On tap at Brunzies. Nice roasty aroma with notes of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Dark brown-black opaque with creamy beige lacing head. Medium body on nitro tap. Mild flavors, light lactose, and rich roasted malt. Some coffee and chocolate. Mild carbonic tang and light malt bitterness. Nutty finish with clean after.
2.9 Draft on nitro. Black body, nitro bubbles. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, smooth texture, nitro carbonation. Dry finish. The sweetness in this beer doesn’t pair well with the burnt roasted malts.
3.5 On tap at Frisco Taphouse. Black with creamy tan head. Toasty roasted malt aroma. Flavor is smokey, roasted malt with chocolate and tobacco flavors. A little tartness towards the finish. Very smooth.
