The radiant energy of the sun gives life to all that we enjoy. Flowing field of barley for malting, surging vines of ripening hops and even pure, clean water owe their vitality to the sun. Just as we do. So in crafting this unique, hazy orange-hued ale, we poured in nature’s great gifts of German malts and European hops to feed the dynamic yeast that we imported from Belgium. Here in the quiet tanks of Victory our yeast brought vitality to this Belgian style farmhouse ale. That energy has created impressions that range from lemon peel to black pepper, though such spices are not added. Great with a wide array of foods, count on the bright soul of Helios Ale to bring life to all of your meals!

3.5650 ml bottle. Slightly unclear golden with a white head. Aroma is light fruity, floral, spicy and soapy. Flavor is mild and smooth with light malt, some fruit, spicy yeast and some kind of woody dryness. Fine body and pleasant aftertaste. Nice one.
3.8A nice pleasant farmhouse ale with a balanced fine acidity.
Lovely nice unclear yellow color with a fine white had. Looks great. Nice intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a fine carbonation. Pleasant balance between acidity and sweetness. Semi dry ending. Yeast, citric, some spices and fruity.

3.7Bottle 650ml @ Geokkjer
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of matl, yeast, citrus, alcohol and some spices. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long slightly dry, yeasty, fruity, peppery and citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
3.6Pours a golden orange with fizzy head. Aromas of citrus, grass, and some herbal notes. Flavors of light hops, herbs, winey notes.
4.3Bomber into a pint glass. Pours a hazy orange yellow, with a moderate white head. Nose is Belgian yeast notes of clove and banana. Taste is classic Saison, malt sweetness followed by a touch of hops on the finish. Very good.
3.6Lys brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Fruktig, sitrus, høy, epler og blomster. Middels fylde. Syrligbitter smak, eple, honning og sitrusskall.
3.6Bottle, 22oz. A hazy golden ale with a dense two finger off-white head leaving lacing. Fruity aroma, citrus and orange peel, some banana and peaches, and a hint of peppery, chalky yeast. It’s lightly warming on the palate, full bodied and lightly effervescent, semi dry. Citrus, orange zest, banana hints, pepper hints and bitterness. Lasting fruity finish with some chalky yeast hints. Quite nice, but a tad yeasty. 160409

4.0Hazy deep golden color. Funky aroma, barnyard, manure, bubblegum. Overall very balanced, spicy, some pepper. Dry finish. It is a very good saison.
3.8On bottle from Vinmonopolet NOrway, on order. Slightly hazy deep golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; farmhouse impressions at first, stable, good fruitiness, floral notes and citrus. Medium body & complexity. Well balanced. Very enjoyable
2.90.65l bottle. This is a cloudy orange golden looking one, tons of small unfiltered particles floating about and with a nice big lasting and lacing head white head that sticks around. Like the fruity funky cheesy nose, quite original and different. Blood oranges, fermented pear juice and it has a woody sour undertone with yeast. Nice. It doesn’t really taste all that amazing. Really old mushy cellar and earthy dust. Feels kinda flat, not on the carbonation but in the taste. A good amount of yeast here and it has a nice oily texture in the mouth. More bitter oranges, a little bit of wet moss and it’s light peppery and spiced towards the finish. Half the bottle down it grows on you a bit, but this is not mine kind of saison. 10.03.2016
3.3Flaske 650ml fra Vinmonopolet Larvik. Drukket i Tyrihansveien. Gylden. Litt uklar. Høyt kremaktig skum som daler veldig sakte. Spotlacing. Aroma av malt og krydder. Smaken fint balansert. Beholder krydderpreget. Nesten som pepper. Blir tørr etter hvert. Litt bunnfall igjen på flaska.
3.9Flaske. Tåkete, gylden farge. Moderat karbonert med hvit skumtopp. Smaker gress, gjær,sitrus, frukt og krydder. Tommel opp
3.6Big bottle bought in DC. Hazy peach body with medium, lasting head. Nose is floral, barley, spices. Taste is malts, fruits, sweet goodness, some peppers. Pretty good.
2.7Hazy orange, medium, frothy eggshell head. The aroma was more spicy than I expected...almost like a Belgian single. Mouthfeel was medium, peppery taste with citrus and tropical notes. I didn’t get the sour funkiness that others got. Not what I want from this style.
4.0Pours a hazy dark straw from a bottle. Smells of light spiciness, some caramel. Flavor throws in some lemon. Very good beer.
3.6Honey amber and into a snifter. Solid half inch foam lasts the length. Offers up pineapple, guava, sweating papaya in downtown Manila, this has a little ’market stall in South east Asia fruit in the humidity’ smell about it. It smells fresh but musky, damp and confined. There is a lot of manky notes about this Saison but not at all detrimental. Herbal to sour and bitter on the palate. Quite pasty and powdery in the very dry finish. Otherwise it cedes a great tang of sauvignon grape; fresh is best! Lemon zest, honeydew, lemongrass. Lightly floral, earth; almost sandy. Tang of iceberg lettuce - as low as that is!? Finishes off an interesting ale. I must say a ride!! Refreshing. Loveable. (1pint, 6fl.Oz, Enjoy by 11/11/15, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
3.6Last half-pint of the night at Qbrick. Victory Helios 7.5% a big vinous, peppery aroma. The taste is sweet, spicy, pepper & cloves with a hearty dose of wheat. A bit phenolic but nice.
3.9Nice saison with a balance of grassy and herbal noble hops with citrus and peppery yeast character.
4.122 ounce bottle. Cloudy honey gold color. Large rocky white head. Fragrant, yeasty malt aroma is redolent of hay and farmhouse funk. Flavor is more bready malt with a Brett edge. Bittersweet lemon peel and citrus hops in midtaste. Earthy and fruity at the same time. Bitter dry finish. Splendidly funky and complex.
3.8Bottle enjoyed at the Nighthawk Diner
Pours golden with a nice white head. Smell of funk, stable, newly cut green grass, herbs, fruity esters, quite complex. Light sweet, funky and fruity, quite spicy as well. Nice brett, complex flavor palette, very dry. Herbal ending, moderate bitter
3.4Draught at Craftsman. Rich gingerbread character with some fruity esters, apricot, banana, bit of lemon, peppery finish with a bit of funk. Not so saison-like but a pleasant brew overall.
3.9Taste of lemon, a hint of freshly cut grass, a bit of pepper, a funky aftertaste. Good beer.
3.7Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival 2015. Hazy golden beer with a decent offwhite head. Fruity hop aroma, perfume, grapes, citrus, floral, some bread. Malty bready flavor, perfume, grapes, hay, floral, some herbal notes. Fresh and drinkable saison.
3.4Bomber, poured cloudy, yellow, abundant off white head, lots of lacing. Aroma of yeast, malts, grains and spices (clove, coriander). Taste is fruity, sweet, some yeast, and some grain. Nice and refreshing, very interesting beer.
4.3DATE TASTED: August 16, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Duvel footed tulip... OCCASION: recovering from a shore trip to LBI... APPEARANCE: a tumultuous twister of bubble stirs the heart of a hazy burnt orange body; head is foamy, white, and full of effervescence, with high arching lacing to boot ... AROMA: banana, clove, soft pepper, and lavender/lilac--complex yet withdrawn... PALATE: to the effect of the aroma, the beer apologizes as it is sipped; foamy and creamy through its great head retention; lively and rounded on the tongue, memorable in its aftertaste with a dry finish... TASTE: clove, banana, vanilla, pepper, grapefruit, apple, biscuit, and some other fruits that are patient yet palpable...the yeasty end suggests dough and read, with floral hops and lemon arriving in waves after the sip has finished... OVERALL: I try not to be biased when drinking big bottles, saisons, or Victory brews, but this glass contains all through with a winning combination--refreshing, complex, vibrant, and flavorful...worthy of a bomber and a Sunday night...
3.6Bottle. Clear, golden-yellow with a white head. The aroma is of citrus, some spice, yeast. The flavour has malt sweetness, some spice (coriander, light pepper), a sweet lime impression, average bitterness, and a dry finish. Good.
