3.6 Bottle from Total Wine. Copper poor. Minimal foam. First impressions are: rye, big old school west coast tree bark bitterness, herbal notes. Did deeper: ripe stone fruit underneath, again that deep bitterness rules the day. Would work very well in cold weather (I’m in white trash Florida right now, so a little off target). Engaging.
3.4 Bottle. Pours copper with light tan head and substantial lacing. Bready malt and grapefruit aroma with melon and pine notes. Bready malt with toffee and grapefruit notes followed by some caramel. Medium-light body. Long, dry finish.
4.0 Very drinkable IPA. Not a usual nowadays tropical fruits bomb. Well balanced, with nice bite of bitterness and hoppy aftertaste.

4.2 (12oz can, part of mix 15-pack) AROMA: dark spice, bark, tobacco APPEARANCE: golden amber, sticky tad off-white head, oily TASTE: roasted malt, barley corn and rye, some brown sugar sweetness, floral and hint of apple, light on the citrus, some mocha/chocolate, bran, spiced and dried fruit PALATE: medium body, good balance, fresh bright and hoppy upfront, middle is slightly sweet and creamy, good amount of bitterness on the finish, slight alcohol feel yet relatively smooth otherwise OVERALL: a very unique take on IPA, especially the nose, not sure where the unique flavors are coming from (almost seems like there is some rye malt), relatively bold with a nice balance of sweetness/flavor/bitterness, definitely some distinctive hops in the mix.
4.5 Bethlehem PA Prime Stekhouse sat at bar. 6.9 Nice malt hoppy caramel...................:::::.:......... xxxx
3.0 12 oz can. Smells malty, initially not getting any hops, a hint of grapefruit about half way through the glass. Pours dark amber color, very clear. I taste more malt than hops. The bitter hits in the finish in the end. Has a thicker mouthfeel than I would expect from the ABV,
3.3 Amber color, large beige head. Aromas of hops, bread, grapefruit, pine and hay. Taste of malt, pine, seville orange, hops and papaya.
3.3 Found in a variety pack. Dark amber pour. No traditional IPA smell. More of a brown ale-malt smell. Drinks like a very malt forward beer and less reliant on hops. Good beer if you are not wanting the heavy hops taste found in most ipas. Good early fall beer.
3.9 12oz bottle bought at Key Food (NY). More like hoppy-ish brown ale than an IPA. Amber colour, sweet and malty.
3.4 Canned at The big pink Clear, Deep golden. Rather sweet in both aroma and flavour. Resinous. Medium bitterness.
3.3 Originally rated using the RateBeer application on my phone. For some reason errors erased my notes and made it a tick. I no longer have the reference notes.
3.3 I would say that this IPA is average, the taste isn't anything new. I do love the hoppy taste and this IPA does satisfy that. Victory had made an average beer that I would buy again if you don't want to spend much.
3.6 0.33l bottle from Beergeek Praha. Amber color with medium white head. Aroma: grapefruit, papaya, caramel, pine. Taste: grapefruit, pomelo, caramel, candies. Medium body, moderate carbonation, moderate to high bitterness. Quite classic American take on IPA.
4.2 4/28/18 on tap at Savas with A & parents. Dark amber with 1 finger head. Dark for an IPA. Piney hop nose. Definitely more floral than citrus but some is here. Taste is herbal hop bitterness and some caramel malt sweetness. Assertively hopped but with great balance. Med palate with lingering hops. Overall, I’ve never had a Victory IPA I️ didn’t really like. This is just an excellent example of what an IPA is supposed to be!
3.8 I liked this IPA, better than average for sure, but nothing SUPER-special about it. It didn't disappoint with the hops, that's for sure. I prefer my IPAs with a solid malty flavor and decent hops to balance it out. This one has about average malt flavors, but the hops is where its at with this one. A hop bomb, but not crazy like some DIPAs out there. Has a copper-orange appearance with medium lacing. Lots of carbonation too, so has a fizzy mouthfeel.
4.5 Draft. Strong but not overwhelming hoppy aroma and flavor, with definite slightly sweet malt flavors. Slightly bitter finish. No off-flavors. Very smooth and drinkable, with 6.7% ABV. This one doesn't beat you up with overly astringent hops or bitterness. You can actually drink this one, and not have to sip it, like some of the current uber-ABV double IPAs.
3.4 Amber color, clear, beige foam, proper lacing and everything. Piney hops, caramel, notes of rubber and molasses (oxidation, not sure how fresh is the bottle). Light sweet caramel taste plowed by a brusque, resinous bitterness that sticks to the tongue. It stays true to an era. The latest un-bitter juice bombs kind of make me hanker for it.
3.6 12oz bottle with commonmac and samalito. Mahogany color with medium white head. Sweeter aroma and taste than most ipas. Sugary and sticky. Rich in flavor and body.
3.8 Poured a clear amber color. Aroma was pint hops and a subtle citrusiness. Taste is very bitter with some grapefruit up front.
3.8 Nitro @ ADT. Clear dark amber with a large, creamy off-white head. Grapefruit and orange rind, tangerine, caramel, sweet bread, pine resin. Soft carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Crisp, piney finish. Super solid IPA.
3.7 Aroma - toasted grain, hoppy Appearance - dark Amber, large head, Taste - Caramel malt, lightly to moderately bitter. Taste - moderately to heavily bitter. Palate - Medium body
3.8 Rating 1500 - Bottle - pours dark amber with a cream head. Aroma is grassy, resin and fruit. Taste is nice berry fruit up front with a drying fruity finish...not what I expected.
5.0 Really nice IPA. Pretty hoppy and bitter. No sweetness or citrus flavor
4.0 Pours amber with a medium frothy white head. Aromas of caramel, pine, grapefruit, malt, resin, peach. Taste is fruity and somewhat grassy with floral. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
3.7 A clear dark amber beer with a well lasting fluffy white head. Intense hop aromas of mangoes, apricots, resin and other tropical sweet fruits. Sweet flavor with a slowly developing bitter, lingering finish. Low carbonation and drinkable body. For the ABV, a very drinkable and well balanc3d beercwith excellent hop aroma.
3.7 This brew is a beautiful deep amber colour with a big creamy head. Rich aromas of malt and caramel with a hint of pine. Full flavoured, with plenty of carbonation and a lingering bitterness. A nice drop, but the flavour is perhaps a bit too overpowering to drink all night
4.7 This is without doubt one of my favorite IPA’s. Of course just about everything from Victory is really good, so it’s to be expected.
3.3 Nice maltiness, caramel, some toast, hops faded away, some pine, herbal note. Moderate to light sweetness, light bitterness. Drinkable, but far from frssh.
3.2 355ml bottle. Pours red brown. Strawberry, caramel, orange peel, grapefruit, pepper, little herbal. Medium body. Fine.
