Victory Summer Love

Victory Summer Love

Brewed locally at the Victory Brewery in Chester County, the Summer of Love Ale is a golden ale made with pale malts, German hops and Brandywine River water. This specific style of beer was chosen because it has a broad appeal and will be accessible for casual beer drinkers, but will still retain exciting hop notes.

The brew has a vibrant and refreshing pale color derived from its lean and refreshing malt body. And the initially floral aroma of hops segues into a well integrated, refreshing hop dryness of European heritage.

3.5 Clear, golden color. Medium sized, white head. Grass, citrus and malt in aroma. Malty base with nice, hoppy bitterness. Good, summer beer.
3.3 355ml bottle. Poured golden color with a thick white head. Floral, citrusy, hoppy aroma. Light sweet citrusy, fruity hops. Light, refreshing summery brew.
3.0 Bottle 355ml at Weeruska. Pours clear golden yellow, white head. Sweet malts, grass, hops, light citrus. Medium body and average carbonation.
3.7 Tap poured, hazy and yellow. Floral aroma. Tasted really good, not too bitter, with a crisp finish. I’d recommend.
3.2 A small taste from wiosna (bottle) @ Viisi Penniä. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is slightly sweet clean malts. Flavor is clean malts with some hops. Good.
3.7 Refreshing and easy on the palate. Not “in your face, overbearing HOPS! Good Summer brew for Florida!
3.2 Bready nose with light herbal hops. Taste is biscuity malt and floral hops. Sweet with no bitterness. Med-thin palate. Little bit of hops on the finish. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with this one but it’s kinda plain to my taste. One of the first Victory brews I haven’t adored.
3.1 Bitter. Piney and slight citrus but not much of a solid balance. On a hot day definitely can slam down a few of them only if they’re ice cold
2.8 The pour is a *slightly* darker yellow with a fluffy white head. Some decent marshmallow lascing on the glass. Nose of both floral and pine hops. Mouthfeel was lighter and watery more than expected. Hoppy water is best to describe this. Too much like drinking Pine Sol\. Not horrible but I wouldn't want more than one. Can.
2.5 Not a bad beer, have been kind of let down by Victory, may not just be for me. Still good nonetheless.
3.0 Bottle at Thanksgiving 2017 in Washington Township, NJ. Aroma is mild biscuits, citrus peels. Taste reminded me of a mild American Pale Ale.
3.6 12 oz bottle. Pours a straw or light golden color with a nice white head that doesn't last long. Nice crisp malt aroma. Biscuit taste, the hop flavor is a nice bitterness that adds to the crispness.
3.6 Draft at The Brig, 7-4-17
3.4 Hazy yellow colour, decent head. Taste is of lemon, grass and pine. Has a slightly sweet wheat taste associated with Belgian, German and French beers. Nice easy drinking, but lacking punch. 330ml can - Price Paid: £2.19.
3.5 From tap. Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Pale malt, light hops, grassy notes, bread. Moderate carbonation. Long smooth finish with an interesting earthy note. Nice.
3.4 12 oz bottle. Hops grass and pils scents. Pours a clear gold with a big rocky white head. Lacing. Nice crisp hop forward but balanced flavors of grass, malt and hops. Nice medium astringent finish. Super drinkable.
2.9 Pours golden with a decent head. Grassy tones and malt on the nose. Taste is malt with some citrus. Finishes bitter. Nothing offensive here, but a bit boring.
3.2 Pours a clear golden with little head......aroma of sweet bread.....taste is clean, fair mouthfeel, crisp finish, pale malt flavor comes through with little else....points for being an easily drinkable brew albeit little else.
2.4 12oz can. Straw color. Plain aroma. Taste is a bit skunky. Light medium body. Finish is dissapointing. Might have been something wrong with it, but didn’t enjoy it.
3.4 Pint at Atomic Cowboy. This is a pretty clear golden ale. A little woodsy hop nose has mild notes of citrus and crackery malt. The mouthfeel is on the fuller end of the style, but it’s still light enough. Flavor has notes of dough, seems predominantly pilsner malt but there’s a little something extra. This isn’t overly hoppy for a blonde ale, but has a solid bite to it. Finshes medium dry.
3.5 Golden color and earthy hop aroma, light hoppy taste, a little grassy, easy summer drinking, bottle.
3.6 Tap at Public House. Pale golden with dissipating head. Light grapefruit aroma. Light bitter flavor. Dry.
2.8 On tap @ Mudville 9. This is a near clear golden looking one, a small almost casky white soft lacing head on the top. Mild sweet aroma. Trace of apples, it’s floral, mild fruity and in general mild. Nice though. It’s super super watery in the mouth, almost like drinking water and the carbonation is soft to average. Thin caramelly, a gentle bitterness. Some traces of melony fruits. Easy to drink, summery bit a tad boring. 13.06.2015
2.5 Bottle. Disappointing. Very weak flavor - tasted watered down. Slight hop flavor and not much else. Sorry I bought a whole six-pack.
4.3 Lovely color and fluffy white head with nice lacing. Very enjoyabe beer from Victory. Perfect for a sunny afternoon on the deck after cutting my lawn. A good pizza beer, too. Well done. I will buy more. Thanks, Victory.
3.6 Ah, summer love. Pours a generic golden color and the head obscured the wheaty aroma until it fizzled down. The taste is smooth and lightly hoppy, with a crisp dry finish. Might taste better in the can, honestly... we poured it into a glass for rating of appearance and aroma purposes, but it seemed a bit more flavorful before. Overall, a solid sessionable beer-- easy drinking with enough flavor to keep it interesting. Good for coming home after errands with tummies full of pancakes, more beer, and cheap Justin Bieber t-shirts.
3.5 Can. Aroma of pilsener malts, light fruits, earthy malt. Flavor of pale bready malts, light fruits, light bitterness. Solid golden ale, pretty basic. 6/4/7/4/14 (3.5/5)
4.0 Aroma is floral, citrus, wheat, good. Appearance is golden, white head, slight haze. Taste is floral, citrus, pine, tropical fruit, wheat, great. Mouthfeel is light body, light crisp carbonation, floral aftertaste. Overall, highly enjoyable.
3.0 Pours golden, bright. No describable hop aroma. Tastes like a bland golden ale. Fine if its your thing.
3.1 Bottle from the craft beer advent calendar, courtesy of Pix. Blond with a white head. Mild grassy aroma. The taste has grassy citrus. Pretty average.
