2.8Botella @Au Bon Vieux Temps, Bruselas 10/09/17. BBD: 27/06/18
Color ambarino epuma blanca, sabores a malta notas dulces cuerpo ligero.
3.0Fles. Licht biertje.
2.7Not as bad as seems. Some toasty malts, a few bittering hops, light floral esters. Medium carbonation.
Tchin Didier !
2.5Drunk from 25cl bottle at bar in Auderghem, Brussels. Nothing to write home about.
2.9Robe ambrée, belle mousse abondante. Nez plutôt banal, farine, fermentaire, pointe d’agrumes. A oublier ....
3.0Tap at A la Becasse, Brussels. Clear dark amber with an off white head. Aroma of herbs, light fruits, caramel and Belgian yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
2.633cl bottle at la Becasse, Brussels.
Medium creamy white head. Hazy amber pour. Very average
1.9Aroma has barnyard and weird metallic scent. Appearance is normal, head is minimal. Taste is light and uninspiring. This beer was nothing to remember, fortunately the bottle was only 25cl.
2.8F: average, white, average lasting.
C: very deep gold to amber, clear.
A: malt, hay, some estery fruitiness, biscuit, caramel, molasses, yeast.
T: malty, grainy, light peach fruitiness, hay, biscuit, light white sugar, light body, average carbonated, nothing memorable.
2.025cl Flasche. Bräunliches Bier mit hellem Schaum. Malzig und süsser Duft. Standard Geschmack. Industriebier.
3.0Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear brown colour lasting beige head. Vague ester on the aroma. Some caramel. In the mouth it’s the same, some ester, some peach, some caramel. Some fruit salad on the finish. It’s simple and uncomplicated. Not great, but no bad flavours either.
1.3Nez: Caramel, sucre candi
Comment ça a pu arriver là ?
2.9Behoorlijke schuimkraag. Bier is donkergeel van kleur. Aroma is fryitig. Bier zelf smaakt zacht en wat zoetig. Best wel ok.
2.9amber coloured body with a white head and a hoppy malt aroma one hoppy malty sweet taste with a little bitter finish
2.7One of the classic ’spéciales belges’, once a renowned brand in its own right, now one of the many InBev victims. Only purely commercial considerations will determine whether this is kept in existence or not, but in any case it has been an InBev-infected shadow of itself for many a year now. In this form, a clear amber coloured beer with decent off-white head and light (not to say thin) mouthfeel with hints of caramel, pasteurization obviously present, very light nutty touch, medium carbo and a weak touch of vaguely bitterish grassy hops hidden in the background. My father loved this in its original form, fortunately he will not be faced with this InBev ’imitation’ / abomination anymore. I wonder what the difference is with Ginder Ale and Horse Ale, if those two even still exist at all; it is an open secret that Jupiler has been sold as Safir from Aalst for quite some time by those capitalist crooks of InBev (or perhaps still Interbrew at the time) just to keep customers - I would not be surprised if something similar is going on with these three brands.
1.5This beer has’t improved since Inbev took over. Their malts are just not as good as the ones the old brewers used. A pity, this used to be a good Belgian ale. The label is very messy, too.
2.1Pours clear amber with medium white head. Aromas are grassy hops, floowers and spices. Sweet taste. Medium carbonation, light body. Short grasy finish.
3.0Medium white head, chestnut colour, yeasty grape malts some sour bread, medium carbonation malts fresh yeast
1.925cl, best before11/09/14. The beer starts malty and grainy. Watery-mouldy, grainy, not too deep. Short grainy-watery aftertaste. Highly drinkable session beer with not much taste.
3.0Bottle
Pours clear amber, ok white head and no real scent .
Taste is herbal, sweet, funky sugar , some malts .
Bit of a plastic-like taste .
3.233 cl. bottle. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel, spice, fruit, yeast and bready notes.
2.5Amber with fastly dissappearing samll white head. Watery bitterness with strong pesky note.
1.425cl bottle, Delhaize home, bb05/2015. A rough, adjunct-laden and colorant-studded "amber/ambrée/amberkleurig" macro interpretation of a spéciale belge, without any inherent malt aromas and very harsh green, grassy hoppiness. The aroma of burnt corn husks and old canned corn seepage is immediately off-putting, its watery texture belies its amber body, the harsh recipe leaves your palate furry, dry and unrewarded. - This always used to be the cheap grandfather version of Palm, but now it has degraded to even that common quencher’s undead husk.
2.4Strange beer, like a remnant from the old world. Taste like a dusty replica of special belge beers like Palm.
