3.8 Bottle 0.33l, trade with Camons, many thanks! Cloudy, dark red to black colored. AROMA- roasted malts, a bit smoky, touch of nuts, coffee, tobacco. FLAVOR- neutral, moderately bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, touch of nougat and again something like bitter tobacco leaves, slight touch of smoke. Medium to fuller bodied. Very good.
3.6 Aroma; coffee, mocca, chocolate, black syrup. Look; brown head, on pit black body. Taste; coffee, mocca, roasted malts, chocolate, plum, dark syrup, peat, ham, bacon, and finishes fudgey. Feel; ok body and soft co². Overall; good nice soft friendly porter. [bottle , T@apartment of PivotekaH7. Greetings to Belgekonigin Jonkvrouw, Candy, Kaat, Joos, Wout, Joergen & Beertil]
4.0 deep dark brown, almost black colour, medium sized, dense and stable brown head; aroma and taste of leather, soy sauce, coffee and smoke notes; great one
3.8 Bottle. Pitch black color, thick, fine brown head. Smokey, roasty aroma, subtle notes of coffee and chocolate. Very dry, high bitter taste, lightly sour. Smokey, toasty aftertaste, which stretches quite a while into black coffee and peated whisky. Full body, medium to low carbonation.
3.9 Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours pitch black with a large thick throthy beige head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee and milk chocolate. Taste is the same again with added smokey notes and an ashy finish. Medium body with average carbonation. Very nice
4.0 Bottled 0,33L. As Vived Smoked Porter. Dark brown color, near black aspect, intence and foamy nut head of long resistyance. Moderate malty and roasted aroma, intence notes of smoked wood, smoked cereals, roast malt, hop, yeasty. Intence sweet and bitter palate, solid roasted and smoked malt impression, much oily texture, smooth and warm mouth.
4.3 330ml bottle at Kunstroeg, Bruges on 29/07/2010. Honestly, the beers in this bar on this session might just be the best back-to-back killer, amazing beers I’ve ever had in such quick succession. I loved this! All the benefits of smokey goodness, mixed with wonderful roasty characters and that hint of yeast.
4.0 Liquide noir raisonnable, mousse collante.
3.5 Buona, forte l’affumicato, soprattutto caffè e poco cioccolato, dolceamara
4.0 Pitch black with a brown head. Aroma is smoked ham. Taste is roast, licorice, ham, caramel. Quite complex, interesting. Earlier Rating: 2/22/2020 Total Score: 4 Pitch black with a brown head. Aroma is smoked Ham. Taste is roast, licorice, ham, caramel. Quite complex. Interesting.
3.3 15/20 bloody nice. not overly smoked, goes well with coffee and chocolate, slightly too much espresso on aftertraste but very good
3.8 Pours dark black with an off white thick head. Aroma is leather, burnt coffee, marmalade, rich apricot and pineapple. Taste is sweet with a rich bitter finish. Taste doesn’t quite live up to the aroma but decent porter.nonetheless.
3.7 Almost pitch black body, lasting, beige creamy head. Very mildly smoked chocolatey aroma, a bit dusty. Lean, smoky taste, smoke, some chocolate. Very well hidden alcohol. Good stuff, nothing wow about it but good stuff.
3.8 330ml bottle enjoyed at Satellite @ EPFL. Pours a dark brown to black color forming a big creamy and persistent tan head with good retention that forms and leaves lots of creamy and soapy lacings in the glass. Nose is sweet, roasty and slightly smoked. Caramel and candi sugar. Earth notes. Slightly sweet upfront taste. Strong notes of roasted malts, caramel, candi sugar and brown bread. Hints of earth. Grassy bitter hoppy finish. Medium bitterness persistence. Good bittersweet balance. Heavy body. Medium carbonation. Roasted malts and caramel in the aftertaste. Good drinkability. Great Porter
3.3 330ml bottle - pours a deep black colour with a large frothy beige head. Aroma is roasted malts an initial smokiness that fades with some chocolate notes. A dark roasted malty taste, some liquorice and bitter chocolate flavours and a lingering ashy bitterness in the finish.
3.2 Mikołaj Rutkowski is drinking a Viven Porter / Smoked Porter by Brouwerij Van Viven
4.5 Espectacular. Aroma potente y complejo a cacao café y ahumado. Trago corpulento y equilibrado que le sigue. De llorar de alegría!!!
3.7 Clear darkest brown colour with a huge beige head. Malty, roasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, only hints of smoke, slightly bitter finish, nice.

Brązowa piana, niezbyt wysoka, średnie i duże oczka, szybko się redukuje. Nos: wędzona szynka, kawa zbożowa, czarna czekolada Paszcza: wytrawne, lekka kwaśność (z czasem coraz mocniej ją czuć), goryczka średnia (długa, pozostaje jakby puder kakaowy), wysycenie wysokie (troszkę przeszkadza), ciało średnie, alko nie czuć. Muszę przyznać że fajne.
3.8 01/03/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Dark brown, medium tanned head; Nose is roasted, smoke, chocolate; Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, bit coffee, smoke,
3.5 Smoked Porter. Opaque dark brown with mahogany edges. Thin light brown head with high retention. Aroma intensity 3.75/5. Roast, malt and smoke aroma, notes of herbs and ham. Medium to heavy bitter. Disappointing structure
3.1 Bouteille: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, presumably hazy, stable off-white foamy layer, moderate bitter-sweet roasty - maybe smoky, yes - nose, some caramel and a hardly detectable fruityness underneath; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied, fizzy and not smooth at all; lingering dry roasty-bitter finish with even more dry bitterness in the aftertaste. Too rough...
3.6 Color negro, opaca. Espuma beige abundante y persistente. Aromas tostados, café, especias. Sabor a maltas tostadas, café suave, ligero caramelo y sensación ahumada. Alcohol muy bien integrado. Textura casi oleosa. Carbonatación media.
