Vocation Heart & Soul

Gluten Free Session IPA

This is our brewery’s Heart & Soul.
Created to have all the hoppy goodness of an IPA, but brewed to a sessionable strength.
Its intense fruit-salad character comes from generous additions of US West Coast hops.
A full bodied and fruity beer, with notes of passion fruit, grapefruit, gooseberry, pineapple & mango.

4.3 Oro schiuma bianca compatta mediamente persistente. Ananas, pesca bianca, frutti tropicali. Amaro deciso di buona persistenza
3.6 Can, 0.33l. Cloudy golden pour, two finger frothy white head, long lasting, excellent retention, sticky lacing on the glass. Clean and crisp on the nose, fruity, herbal and floral notes. Light body, lively carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, lightweight, refreshingly fizzy, easily drinkable. Balanced bittersweet taste. Aroma follows the nose, herbs, grains, citruses. Citrus peel, grass, some spice. Lingering hop bitterness. Medium lasting finish, dry, moderately bitter. Nice one.
4.0 330ml can. Pours clear dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, grass, pine. Taste is light sweet, citrus fruits, slighly floral. Medium bitter finish. Light bodied.
3.7 Can from Beers@Moviefun. Hazy orange, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of ripe mango, pineapple, passion fruit, melon, biscuit, tangerine. Taste has sweet mango, melon & tangerine, sourish passion fruit next to bitter citrus peel & grapefruit, kept together by biscuity, honeyish maltiness. Floral hoppy finish, softly grapefruity, citrus & mango, crisp & bitter. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Excellent in its style.
3.4 Can. Almost clear golden, medium white head, medium lasting. Fruity hoppy nose, mostly peachy with a bit of grass. Medium bitterness, a bit grassy. Some sweetness, fruity bubblegum. Medium aftertaste. Light body. Nicely drinkable.
3.8 Golden, a little haze, fine head. Malty with a cinder toffee meets tropical fruit flavour, a perfume peach aroma. Excellent.
4.1 Canned 0,33L. Bright yellow golden color, moderate bubbly impression, foamy white head of short resistance. Aroma is rich and perfumed, notes of malt, pine, citrus, tropica fruits, hoppy, pineapple, mango. Pleasant bitter/sweet mouthfeel with intence fruity and tropicali impression, long citrusy and hoppy final.
3.8 Golden, slightly hazy, with a decent white head. Hoppy aroma with some exotic fruit. Taste is hops and citrus with a very subtle bitterness.
3.4 Can, 4.4%. Citric and caramelly fruit aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small unstable white head. The flavour is fruity, caramelly, semi-bitter. Clean finish. Flavourful for the ABV.
3.4 Can. Pours hazy straw with small white head. Clear aroma of fruit, with notes of yeast and touches of hops and malt. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with estery and malty notes and fruity touches. Bitter and estery aftertaste with citric touches. Decent. Well-balanced and refreshing.
3.4 33 cl can. Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, tropical impressions, slightly grainy. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Dry and bitter finish with citrus. Fine and quaffable.
3.6 Can 0,33L Almost clear golden color with small, frothy white head, that doesn't last long. Aroma of tropical fruits. Taste is light bitter, zesty and fruity. Bitterness goes up at the end of the sip and lasts long in the aftertaste. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, dry texture. Easy to drink, refreshing summer beer.
3.9 Llauna Hopt. Aroma hoppy i citric. Boca maltosa, afruitada i tropical, notes herbals. Bon cos i caràcter pels seus 4,4 graus. Bona i refrescant, per beure'n unes quantes. Molt session

4.2 Nice session IPA
3.7 33 cl can (canning date 2020-03-30, BBD 2021-03-20), bought from Co-Op, drunk at home 2020-06-18. Appearance is a lightly hazy pale gold with a moderate thickness quite loose head that dissipates pretty quickly. Moderate visible carbonation and a touch of unexpected particulate matter (poured carefully enough I'd have thought). Not bad, wish the head lasted longer. Aroma is pretty typical session IPA. Tropical fruit notes - passion fruit and pineapple - a bit of citrus and some grassiness. Not particularly bold or complex, but not too faint or simple to be disappointing. I'd almost describe this as a quintessential session IPA nose. Taste is good. Fruitiness up front - can't quite place it but something a touch sweet and tropical - giving way to a touch of pine and a moderate lingering botanical bitterness with a gentle brown bread malt backbone. Again, pretty classic session IPA. Palate is also, whaddyaknow, good. Medium bodied, round but still a bit juicy with a touch of in-mouth carbonation and a surprisingly long finish. Overall, this is a strong contender for best generic good session IPA. It does nothing revolutionary, but makes no claims to so that doesn't bother me. I feel the bitterness in the mouth is a touch unbalanced due to the long finish, but quibbling here. An excellent fridge filler.
3.2 Poured cloudy golden pale body with white lace top. Aroma of fruited hops tangerine and lime. Taste is medium sweet with sherbet backnote. No clear transition and a muddy finish. Palate is light to medium bodied some mineral grainy notes so despite the lightness it's not the smoothest session IPA. If this were the session beer the conversation would have to excel.
3.7 Can at Vcation on-line tasting. Pale golden color with medium white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, zest, pines. Taste solid malty base followed by solid hoppy kick with grapefruit, oranges, goosberries, zest, pines. Good.
3.8 C: pale straw yellowish N: bit bashful, light straw, gooseberry, light tropical fruit P: gentle, fruity, light pineapple, gooseberry. Very easy drinking.
3.2 Canned 330ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, citrusy and mild grapefruity nose. Citrusy, light floral, grapefruit and touch of caramel with bitterish finish. Bit watery.

3.8 Can. Hoppy aroma and taste, citrus fruit, grassy notes, medium bitter. Light to medium body, hoppy fruity bitter finish. Ok.

3.3 440ml can on discount from Waitrose, Epsom. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of tropical fruit. Fruity taste. Bittersweet finish.
3.0 Some tropical taste, might be a bit citrus, light easy drink, session IPA.
3.3 Can 44 cl. Pours a paleish golden with a lacing, white head. Lovely citrusy aroma with a piney touch. Medium body, an initial slightly sweet fruitiness, soon overrun by a dank and dry bitterness. 290321
