Vocation Life & Death

Vocation Life & Death

Can, cask & keg; Regular.

This is Life & Death.

Three kilos of hops and forty kilos of barley selflessly give their lives to brew every barrel of this beer. It’s a lot to ask, but their reincarnation as this life-affirming IPA makes their sacrifice worthwhile.

A ballsy, US style IPA, expect flavours of tropical & citrus fruits, with a lingering bitterness set against a smooth malty backbone.

3.7 Can shared by Omhper, thanks. Big but very short white head. Opaque yellow color. Fresh and fruity hop aroma, balanced. The taste is also very fresh and fruity. Low-medium bitterness. Very nice.
3.8 Pours hazy blonde with white head. Lovely nose on tropical fruit and citrus hops. Refreshing taste with fruits, citrus, hopbitters. Classic IPA, easy to find in stores in Scotland, where we drank a lot of this.
3.6 It pours straw and cloudy with a white head. There are strong citrus flavors with grapefruit, papaya, and tropical fruit. It finishes bitter.
3.8 Lattina.
3.5 Mango, lingering hops , slightly sweet, chewy , lemons , citrus. Very nice for the 6.5%
4.6 Perfect Draft keg.
3.4 0.33 l can shared with Marko at the Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Hazy goden to orange, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, intense herbal, spicy and fruity citrusy aroma. Roasemary, grapefruit. Berries. A rich tropical touch emerges. Bitter, herbal and earthy hops in the flavour. Citrus touch, bready, grainy. Some sweetness. Light body. Light finish. Slightly bland.
3.6 Can at Goblet. Shared with Hrabren though he doesn't know it yet. Hazy yellow body, white head. Pungent honey and lychee aroma. Simple but works, feels fresh. Lean, soft taste, sweetish honey and lightly grainy taste, ah, subtle fruity undertones saving it slightly. Good cheapo overall!
3.6 White weak head. Honey colour. Aroma is hoppy with fruity (citrus, tangerine , pineapple and a touch of grapefruit) not. Flavor is hoppy too with fruity (tangerine, citrus and mango) tones, ending in a moderately hoppy finish. Light to medium bodied.
3.1 --Canned at Restaurang APA, Sundsvall. -- Clear golden, rich head. Aroma of mango and citrus. Sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with mango and tangerine. Mid bitter finish. Rather generic.
3.8 Can from Tesco. Slightly hazy golden yellow pour. Aroma of mango candy, peach. Taste is semi sweet, big on mango, nectarine, pineapple, orange zest, passionfruit, balanced with woody pine, shards of caramel. Slightly bitter finish with rounded toasted bread notes. Mouthfeel is full. Great job, very tasty for the price.
3.7 Couleur orange, petite mousse. Sympa.
3.5 very hoppy aroma, but almost citrussy and lemongrassy, it's like it is ramped up so much it gets citrussy. shortly after the pour it does not feel as agressive as the initial impression. then it's fresh herbal, almost a bit grassy. the malts are crisp and not very prominent. flavor is herbal and sweet, like herbal tea, with a very decent crisp slightly sweet malty base. fainter citrus/oranges candy like notes. clearly drinkable but just a bit off world class.
3.8 Lundi 7 février 2022. Canette de 33cL. 6.5%. Achat ("La Gargante", Parthenay (79), FR). @maison.
3.4 Aroma; herbal grain mash, bark, caramel malts, sappy hops, spruces. Look; off white head, frosted and crocheted lacing, clear golden body. Taste; herbal grain, bark, caramel malts, sappy hops, sawdust, spruces, pee, pale malts, and leading to a herbal sappy hoppy finish. Feel; alright body and okay co². Overall; normal ipa. [tapped 15cl taster, B&T@CaféSånn] .
3.8 Lovely , strong, grapeftuity beer
3.5 33cl blik. Tweeschijn goudgeel kleur, fijne romige witte. De geur is mango en ananas. Smaak is zoet, citrus, ananas en licht hars.

4.0 Clear and golden with a nice white head. Smells like citrus, but taste a little sweeter. Low on carbonization, but still refreshing.
4.3 Hazy golden with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Rich taste of sweet hops, mild bitterness.

3.7 Can, courtesy of MiP. Pours nearly clear golden with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with estery and hoppy notes and touches of citrus. Ditto flavour. Sweetish, fruity and estery aftertaste with hoppy and citric touches. Well-balanced and tasty. A nice one, although the carbonation could be higher.
Belle ipa. Mériterait une taille de canette plus importante.
3.9 Canned 0,33L. Hazy orange/yellow color, much bubbly aspect with foamy white head of medium resistance. Aroma is pale malty, caramel, sweet malt, hops, citrusy, orange peel, pine, fruity hops. Moderate bitter and crisp palate, light mellow body with intence malty, hoppy and citrusy notes.
3.7 Copenhagen 21/11 2021. 44 l can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Elegant drawing in black, green and white with a charging snake, and a bird sitting on a skull. Pours unclear, golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as lumpy, uneven but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit and stone fruit mingling with a sharp citric sent. Peach, mango and pineapple. Grapefruit and lemon. Hints of pine. Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry. Fine and potent Indian Pale Ale with a nice citric streak.
