3.4Bottle. Another really great malty beer. I'm happy to see more malt instead of hops
4.2Fairly middle of the road German Oktoberfest. A bit lighter than others
3.0Tap. Pours clear, golden. Small but very stable and creamy white head. Smell is crisp, malty, but a bit old as well. Taste is strangely sweet, malty, bit honey like as well. Oxidated, unfortunately.
4.2Served from 330ml bottle into pint glass. Pours a thin white head that drops quickly with a smidge of lacing. Color is deep gold with a bit of sediment in suspension. Moderate streaming carbonation. Aroma of cracker, bready malts, grassy hops. Mouthfeel is light to medium with a prickly carbonation. Flavors of cracker, biscuit, hint of citrus, grassy hops. Overall: a very good example of the style.
2.4Bottle, many thanks Max! Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is caramel, a bit cardboard, grainy. Taste is caramel, grains. Oily mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation.
2.9Bottle. Nice amber, low head. Light dusty honey malt aroma. Medium light body, sugar honey, dust, minerals, Sticky bock, dusty, some honey, a bit herbal. Allright.
2.8Clear golden. Aroma is schlehen, bread, dough, slight sour leaves and berries. Taste is stale sour and bitter, nothing much. Forgettable.
3.4Sweet orange malt with mild hops. Very much fruity malt forward without the balance.
3.6Draft at Pour Taproom. Crystal clear bright gold fluffy head. Aroma of baking biscuits. Taste is lightly peppery freshly baked bread. Solid
2.7I poured it from the bottle into a dimpled mug. It pours a pale amber with a nice, fluffy, white head and lacing. The aroma was skunky at first. After it got some air, it improved. The aroma was floral, grass, and hay. The taste is hay, caramel, and grain. It's malty but borders on bland. This was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again.
1.911.2 ounce bottle. Color is golden yellow, and light for an Oktoberfest. Very little aroma and not much carbonation. Taste is very light and slightly bitter. Was inexpensive and now I know why.
3.4Light but full enough. Malty with a dose of caramel and nuts. Semi sweet with a medium finish.
2.9Mild grassy aroma
Light head that dissipates quickly
Amber whiskey color
Sharp effervescent bite
Light malt
3.3Bottle. Pours gold-copper with white head. Nose of biscuit malt and honey with floral notes. Honey and caramel with some biscuit malt underneath. Some floral hop flavor on top with a crisp finish. Light-medium body.
3.4From the 330 ml. bottle with an expiration date of 22 June 2018. Straw yellow pour underneath a modest white foamy head that dissolves. Aromas of German breaded malts, barley grain, sweetness, hard boiled eggs (yes), and a mild earthy hop profile. The body was light to medium. The taste was generally sweet, malty, but it had a decent bitter bite to finish that upped my opinion of it. A few months past season but I stumbled across it in a store and knew I hadn't had it.
0.8does not taste like a Warsteiner, it has a lighter taste. I am starting to appreciate the Warsteiner beers. Their Dunkel is a bit too much, even for my malt-loving taste.
8/2019 - found it in a local super store - tastes more like a Dunkel than an Octoberfest. As much as I hate all the hops that USA crafties add to their "octoberfests", I cant say I am a fan of an Octoberfest tasting like a dunkel. Especially, when the taste is OVERLY Dunkel.
Too much. Three years and three different tastes. Not good at all. not pleased at all. wont buy any more.
10/2018- found it at a local Kroger - wow- SURPRISED!!!!!!! nice taste, but has MORE hops in its taste. WHAT IS IT WITH HOPS?????? Do we REALLY need so much in ALL beers???? Especially in an OCTOBERFEST??? Which is BY DEFINITION - MALTY??!!! This beer tastes VERY much like a Pilsner, wow - DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! USA crafties are destroying beer in the USA. WAY TOO MUCH HOPS!!!!
9/2018 - have not seen this OFest in Atlanta area stores in 2 years. Not sure why, but local distrib. are being a ss holes to German beers. We have lost 3 or 4 good German beers over the last 3 or 4 years. You can find OVERLOADED hops craftie crap all over this garbage town. German beers?? Not so much, if at all. Warsteiner has a nice Octoberfest. Wonderful. Too bad Atlanta is such a garbage town and doesnt allow it.
Thanks for this site that does more than accept opinions that the site agrees with and not much else. Sites that claim to be your "advocate" do little other than support HOPS OVERLOADED beers. Is that really beer???? I think not.

3.2Kroger bottle. Pours clear gold with a small white head. Aroma of brown leaves, wet dog, dough, light hint of fruit. Flavor is bitter brown and green leaves, grass, dough, light roasted honeycomb. Drinkable.
3.2Clear golden in color... Aroma of biscuity malts, fresh wort... Flavor is biscuity malts, grains, light spices, bread... really nice
3.4This beer pours a clear golden color with a nice stream of carbonation bubbles and a fluffy white head that left very little lacing around the glass. The aroma is barley malts and very bready and doughy. The flavor is more of the same with a little bit of hop presence on the back end to round this beer out. The mouth feel is on the medium side and the alcohol is masked pretty well even as the beer warms. Nice Oktoberfest that is worth a try but nothing special.
3.3Skunk, pecan, honey aroma. Clear amber, medium head, good lace. Honey and dried leaves, dry. Light body, easy carbonation. Very quaffable.
2.8Bottle sample at Hy-Vee Oktoberfest. Poured golden with a white head. Aroma was grassy, sweet fruit, bread dough. Taste was light sweet, caramel, dough, toasted bread, grassy.
3.2Pours a clear golden brown from the bottle with fluffy off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild nutty malts and toast, with hints of earth. Taste is bigger, nice malt body with a touch of bitterness. Pretty spot on for style, solid.
1.5I had high hopes for this. After drinking this, I was so happy that I wasn't the one buying it. Maybe a bad batch? Smells awful...like putrid grain. While I was not wanting something sweet, this was actually quite bitter tasting and overall, just not good.
3.0I need to rate it again while drinking. Not my favorite Oktoberfest but very drinkable. A good deal for its low price
August 2017. Very malt forward as you would imagine. Notes of caramel. Easily drinkable but not notable
3.4Very typical, enjoyable oktoberfest. Nothing really to complain about here.
2.9Pours gold with a finger of white foamy head. Aroma is German malts and yeast. Flavor has a good doughy feel to it and a sweet finish.
3.3First time for this Octoberfest bier. A nice surprise. Good up front toasty malt with a soft hop finish. Smooth and very drinkable bier for the fest season.
2.8Tart, light on the palate. Doesn't make a strong impression though also doesn't feel like you could drink it all night.
3.5Good for the style. Aromas and flavors of earthy malt. Slight sweetness. Nice light copper color with a big head. Medium to light weight.
3.5On Tap at Prost!, Boise Clear deep golden, full dense white head and thick hevy lacing. Classic bready light toasted malt flavors. A slight tartness and a smooth lager finish.
